The country is so vast you would definitely miss out if you did not have the early wake up calls, because nothing is around the corner. If you are the kind of traveler that likes to maximize your time and fit as much in during your stay in a foreign country: regarding geodiversity, culture, food, people and sites. From the moment we met in Lima, the Waman team demonstrated an exceptional commitment to the quality and authenticity of the experience. Cusco is a city that breathes Inca history and culture. Mario our guide was the best, he immersed us in the legends of Machu Picchu as we walked the cobblestone streets. The excitement grew when we arrived at Machu Picchu's Puerta del Sol at dawn, a view that exceeded all expectations. The Sacred Valley welcomed us with its imposing landscapes and towns full of color. The visits to Pisac and Ollantaytambo were enriching, full of detailed explanations about daily life and traditions that endure to this day. The attention to detail was exceptional, every aspect was carefully considered even our dietary restriction. I am a celiac person. In short my experience with Waman Adventures in Peru was more than just a trip; It was a deep immersion in the cultural and natural wealth of this extraordinary country. - Lynette· March 30th, 2024We did many cool things in Peru and the communication from Waman was very good throughout. But our busy schedule took its toll, as we were all exhausted by the end. The four of us ended up with some form of salmonella (my mom was the only one hospitalized, but we all had the same symptoms and received treatment accordingly.) The days that start at 4:00 a.m. and end at 11:00 are quite unreasonable - more so than I thought it would be when we read it on paper. My parents are 80 and 83, and just couldn't keep up with the pace. Between running low on energy and dealing with illness, they had to skip several activities. I'm 59 and my son is 39 and WE had a hard time doing all the things. We did love the sights and experiences, i just feel like the Peru Jewels either needs to either cut out one of the three venues, or extend it to a full two weeks. Our guides did a nice job, both those contracted and those hired by Waman. The Amazonia experience was fascinating, but we were unprepared for what to expect.
