  Donnie Matto our safari guide was "EXCEPTIONAL" Felt very safe and well looked after. The accomadations, food and staff were exceptional. Enjoyable and very safe. Special thanks to Joyce our contact person who was amazing for 6 transfers even in Nairobi. Checked on us, & gave support constantly. Amazing staff & safari. Also 15% of trips are donated back to own community. They support a children's school and help single mothers learn sewing and independent business. Look up Mama Zara and awards she has earned. Their souvenirs also support this. Visit the school, equally best part of trip! Recommend this company to all!Show more

  Where do I even begin? What an absolutely incredible experience! We were a group of six friends travelling together for a 7-day, 6-night safari in Tanzania, and I can honestly say it was one of the most amazing experiences of our lives! From start to finish, everything was exceptionally well organised. The entire team made sure everything ran smoothly, allowing us to simply relax, enjoy ourselves, and experience the magic of Tanzania. The accommodation was fantastic, the landscapes were breathtaking, and the wildlife encounters were beyond anything we could have imagined. We were lucky enough to see all the animals (including BIG FIVE) we had dreamed of seeing! But what truly made this safari unforgettable was our incredible guide, Hassan from Zara Tours! Hassan is an absolute legend! Not only is he extremely professional, knowledgeable, and experienced, but he also has an amazing personality. He is funny, friendly, patient, and genuinely passionate about what he does. His knowledge of the wildlife and the parks was outstanding, and he always seemed to know exactly where to take us for the best sightings. We laughed so much throughout those seven days! Hassan made every single day an adventure, and by the end of the trip, he wasn’t just our guide anymore — he had become a genuine friend. ❤️ It’s rare to meet someone who combines such professionalism with so much warmth, humour, and kindness. He made our safari special in ways that go far beyond simply seeing the animals. A huge thank you to the entire team at Big Five Luxury Safari for organising such a wonderful experience, and an especially massive THANK YOU to Hassan for the incredible memories, endless laughs, and friendship! If you’re planning a safari in Tanzania, I cannot recommend these guys highly enough. And if you have the chance to request Hassan as your guide, DO IT! You won’t regret it! We arrived as six friends looking for an adventure, and we left with unforgettable memories and a seventh friend in Tanzania. Asante sana, Hassan! We saw all the animals described in the brochure. We were very satisfied with our guide, Livingstone, who was an excellent guide and did his utmost to find the animals and share his knowledge about the wildlife and its habitat.Show more

  This safari was incredible! Not only did we see The Big Five, but our guides (Godliving and Ebenezer) were great at finding these and many other animals in the enormous parks, while getting us in close for fantastic photos. We even stayed inside the Serengeti NP in upscale tents which required an escort after dark to get to the lobby for dinner! The game drives involved many hours inside the Land Cruiser, and we felt lucky to have drivers in Tanzania, as we shared the roads with motorcycles, tuk-tuks, big trucks, people and animals almost 24 hours/day. But our guides were expert drivers, so we learned not to worry when they played “chicken”as they passed vehicles. 😳 An African safari had been on my bucket list for years. And World Adventure tours exceeded all of my expectations. Borrowing from Nike, I recommend, “Just do it!”Show more

  The tour was very well organized. Our guide Israel was very helpful and had many interesting facts and went out of his way to make sure we see all the animals! The landscape was breathtaking (Ngorongoro was out of this planet). We really recommend it! The one thing was that you are really divided from the local people and the non touristic parts so if you look for experiencing authentic life of the local people in the city, we recommend booking extra tour around the markets and history of the place.Show more

  Our trip to Tanzania was an amazing experience, and I would book with them again in a heartbeat! I was in regular contact with Joyce through WhatsApp, and she always made sure our requests were taken care of. I made a few changes to the itinerary and she helped us put together a trip that suited us perfectly. We were initially quite hesitant about having a guide with us throughout the trip, as we usually prefer travelling independently. However, we were blessed with Ebenezer, the sweetest and most knowledgeable guide we could have asked for. He went above and beyond to help us see the animals we hoped to spot and happily made extra stops so my husband could buy tea and I could buy some tanzanite. He was always polite, patient and respectful of our space. We never felt rushed and we felt completely comfortable with him. We stayed in some lovely hotels, with Highview Coffee Lodge being our favourite. The food was generally good, apart from one disappointing lunch. When I mentioned it to Joyce, she immediately took action. The only other issue was our street-facing room at Springlands Hotel during the first two nights. It was very noisy and we struggled to sleep and the room was very very small. For our final night, we asked Joyce for a quieter room away from the street and she arranged it for us. Everything was exceptionally well organised and the small issues we raised were dealt with promptly. Most importantly, we felt listened to and well looked after throughout the trip.   Enjoyed the trip! Christian was our safari guide and he was great. If you love learning about culture- he will tell you everything you want to know! Heads up- most places would give you a bottle of water each but if you're from a humid climate (it's super dry during dry season) or drink a lot of water, just be prepared to pay for a whole bunch. Makes sense since it has to be bottled or filtered but can still jarring for unaware Americans. The places were clean and the workers were nice. Make sure to bring a lot of small bills for tips because everyone comes rushing for your luggage for one. The lodges and hotels were fine. I would recommend fans being placed in the rooms though. Bring a portable one if you can as it can get really stuffy with no ac. Great budget friendly trip for first timers!Show more
