  New Zealand 🇳🇿 is amazing & a lot of nature spots with beautiful landscapes to see on the way. The highlights would include the River Valley in the North Island & Queenstown surroundings in the South Island. Will definitely come back one day!

  I can not recommend this tour enough! The small group creates an amazing space to bond quickly with fellow travelers and each day is busy but not overwhelmingly so. I feel like I really saw the whole country and got a feel for the real New Zealand! I made some amazing friends and experienced life so fully on my time with Backyard Roadies. This tour really has a bit of something for everyone!!

  I had 20 days of great fun with our guide Ben (and fellow group members), going from Auckland in north to Christchurch in south. I always felt safe and well taken care of. Everything was planned and executed to excellence. I saw so much beautiful nature and visited places I would never have found on my own. The included activities are superb. I did stuff I never tried before which was very fun. Ben goes an extra mile to add special moments to the trip, eg bonfire on the beach watching the sun set on the west coast and delicious bbq’s. And is a nice and fun person. Would not have been the same without all the NZ slang and pranks. I can definitely highly recommend BYR (and Ben as a guide).

  The whole 20 days were just amazing! I enjoyed every single day! It was just the right amount of cities and nature. Relaxing and adventure/thrill. I could take in the full beauty of New Zealand and our lovely guide Hannah just made the trip even better. Thank you!

  The tour was so awesome and Ben’s enthusiasm for New Zealand is so amazing. All the accommodations exceeded my expectations and would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to see the country on a small group tour. My highlights included the stone carving, sky diving in Queenstown and visiting the stunning lake tekapo!

  I had an amazing time on the 20 day tour. The group clicked almost immediately. Ben was a fantastic tour leader, always willing to help out, and great fun. New Zealand is a beautiful country and I only wish the tour was longer to explore more!

  Ben was honestly a great tour guide, and I don't think I've ever known someone with that much enthusiasm! Really lifted the whole group, and in general the tour. His knowledge about the country was impressive and handy.

  I’m so glad I found the Backyard Roadies tour, I loved the small group and the personal touch of our local tour guide that I think make this tour a real standout compared to some of the bigger groups we came into contact with along the way. Our tour guide really went above and beyond to make sure we all got to do everything we wanted even if it wasn’t on the listed activities, helping to organise when to go and how to get transport if needed. If you’re a bit unsure about where to go, what to see and how to get around in NZ the 20 Day New Zealand Adventure is definitely the best way to see and do as much as possible for a really great price and meet some great people along the way! We were all sad to see each other go at the end but it was such an amazing experience and such a beautiful country thank you Backyard Roadies and thank you to our awesome tour guide Hannah!

  It was a really fun experience. Hannah was an amazing tour guide and extremely kind, always checking up on everyone, and making sure we were enjoying our time. It was nice being on a smaller tour for my first solo trip. You got to get to know everyone better than being on a 50 person bus. There were things like the Māori cultural night, where we got to go to a buffet, and see a dance, that a lot of normal backpackers wouldn’t think of going and seeing. I’ve met two good friends from the trip, and will be telling anyone who wants to take a tour to NZ to check out Backyard roadies. :)
