By evening, you'll dress up for a private Apsara Dance Performance and dinner, watching traditional Khmer dancers perform stories from ancient times.

Along the way, you'll stop at a village where locals make Khmer noodles by hand and try some freshly prepared ones for lunch. The rest of the day is free to relax at your hotel or explore on your own.

Siem Reap to Phnom Penh
You'll fly out to Phnom Penh this morning, though depending on flight schedules you might take a scenic overland route instead. After arriving, you'll transfer to the ship where the crew greets you onboard. Spend time getting familiar with the ship, checking your cabin, and settling in. A welcome reception happens this evening so you can meet fellow travelers and the ship's staff.

Mekong River Cruise
Make your way up to Wat Hanchey, an 8th-century temple sitting on a hilltop. You can climb the steps or get a ride to the top, where you'll participate in a traditional water blessing performed by local monks. After lunch, walk through the rural village of Angkor Ban, visit a traditional Khmer house, and spend time at a local school with kids. It's a quieter day focused on local culture rather than temple hopping.

Phnom Penh
A private cyclo takes you on a guided tour through Phnom Penh. Visit the Royal Palace, which includes the Silver Pagoda with its incredible floor and collections. The National Museum is next, featuring some of the finest Khmer artifacts and sculptures you'll see. The afternoon is yours to explore independently or rest. Just before dinner, kids from a local orphanage perform songs and dances. Later this evening, your ship crosses into Vietnam as it moves toward the Vietnamese border.

Chau Doc, Vietnam

A sampan carries you to Long Khanh A village where you'll watch a cotton-weaving demonstration of a tradition that's been going on for centuries. You'll visit one of Vietnam's oldest Catholic churches, a family home where they make traditional conical hats by hand, and a workshop where craftsmen build sampan boats using age-old techniques.

Afterward, head back to the ship. The rest of the day and evening you spend onboard as the ship sails toward Ho Chi Minh City, giving you time to relax on deck or in your cabin.

Ho Chi Minh City

You'll also visit the War Remnants Museum and browse Ben Thanh Market's crowded stalls. Later, join a hands-on Vietnamese cooking class where you learn to prepare several dishes and eat what you make. This evening, join your traveling companions for a special dinner at a local restaurant, a nice way to reflect on everything you've experienced.

Ho Chi Minh City to Bangkok

Start with a guided boat tour through Bangkok's famous klongs, or canals, where you'll see how locals live on and near the water. Next, visit the Grand Palace, which contains the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Afterward, head to the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, Bangkok's oldest and largest Buddhist temple. Inside you'll find over 1,000 Buddha images, including the massive 49-foot-high and 151-foot-long Reclining Buddha that dominates the space. The rest of the day is yours to explore at your own pace.
