Explained various excursions well in detail and provided lot of information about the places we visited. Abby took care of few emergencies we faced very promptly and maintained safe environment for all members of the tour. Great tour and we will highly recommend to others.Show more

Show moreTrip date: November 2024 - DEDarren· August 26th, 2024I travelled with Jonathan on the Costa Rica and Panama discovery trip with Intrepid in August 24. I really enjoyed the trip and the destinations we visited. It was a great mix of wildlife, rainforest, beach areas and city life for us to experience different cultures. Some of my highlights included Boca Del Toros and the boat trips and being able to spend time relaxing on lovely beaches and enjoy warm seas. The local cooking experience and stop in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca was also great fun.I also enjoyed the visit to the Panama Canal which was really interesting. Jonathan was super organised and helpful to the whole group, was happy to be flexible and change daily itineraries to give us more (or less ) time at places depending on what the group wanted and could not have done more to help the group have an awesome experience. This trip is "bare bones." Virtually all excursions and meals are additional. Lodging was frequently noisy (eg: party hostels) and quite basic. Expect long travel days (5-9 hr) in basic public transport. The trip requires a degree of fitness to traverse gaps such as climbing aboard boats; walking over rough terrain and carrying one's own luggage several hundred meters and up and down stairs. If you are incapable of that, this isn't your trip. Moving as a group requires timeliness but when travel is via public modes of transport, it is essential.Show moreTrip date: November 2022

- EKemmett· February 2nd, 2022my tour guide marvin Arya was exemplar in his handling of all vital issues of our group. however I will let you know about this. because it was not right and I really can not blame the tour director. however we had 2 men in our group that became ill with covid and they didn't tell anyone until others became infected and then we told the director on these 2 men. they should be held responsible for their deceit and deception ruined us all and definitely hurt others by their actions. this was not good at all.
