Highlights
- Laze on the sandy shores of Caye Caulker off the coast of Belize. Swim in the warm waters of the Caribbean and snorkel through shallow reefs and atolls surrounding the cayes.
- Join a group of local women at a co-operative in San Ignacio, where they’ll show you how to cook up some traditional recipes and talk about the organisation they founded.
- Discover the remains of a once thriving Mayan city at the Lamanai Archaeological Site, reached by a boat trip that reveals some of Belize’s most colourful birdlife.
- Take a day trip to the impressive Tikal National Park, just a hop, skip and a jump across the border into Guatemala. These Maya ruins have become one of the most important archaeological sites in Maya history.
- Uncover the secrets of crystallised skeletons and crumbling palaces near San Ignacio that have been preserved in their natural glory.

- Jessica· April 22nd, 2024I had such a wonderful time! Our group was amazing and our guide went above and beyond to make sure we saw even more of the country. He helped arrange extra tours, made sure we went to the best places and it all felt very safe with him. Hotels were intrepide style - ok to sleep but on the run down side.Show moreIntrepid Travel commented on this reviewHello Jessica, thank you for taking the time to post a review and for sharing these great photos. We are pleased to learn you had a wonderful time, that you had an amazing group, and your leader went above and beyond. We are proud of our commitment to... Show moreTrip date: November 2023
- MPMargaret O'Neill· March 4th, 2024Guide, Shaquille was excellent!!! Overall tour was fantastic. Everything went smoothly. Accomodations were good, including transportation, tour guides & experiences were fantastic. Loved Lamanai & Women's co-op demo & lunch was very well done. Experience at Tikal was out of this world - very informative. However, when comparing the rates that Intrepid charged for the transfers that I made ahead of taxis & the rates of the transfers to and from the airport to Belize that Intrepid charged usShow moreIntrepid Travel commented on this reviewHi Margaret, Thank you so much for your review, we are are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your time in Belize and your tour leader was excellent. - JNJohn· February 22nd, 2024This tour was truly astounding. I cannot say enough good things about it. It was well planned, well organized, and superbly coordinated by our miracle-worker of a guide, Rayes de Leon. The tour took in the sights as advertised and went far beyond that with Rayes teaching us everything from the grand history of the Mayan people to the minutia of local plant life. He was tireless, starting before any of us were up and not stopping until we were all safely tucked into our hotel rooms. In short, the tour was far above my expectations and Rayes de Leon is a superman!Show moreIntrepid Travel commented on this reviewThank you so much for your enthusiastic review John! - LJLisa· January 1st, 2024It was a good tour. The guide was great and helpful! It was a small group which was nice. It was a little more rough terrain than I expected but that was just me. But it did not take away from the trip experience. The women's co op lunch was a great experience and the food was fantastic. Ending the trip with island life on Caye Caulker was perfect.Show moreIntrepid Travel commented on this reviewHello Lisa – Thank you for taking the time to post a review and for sharing these wonderful photos. - Dennis· May 4th, 2023A good balance of sights and activities in a week! From the lowland to the highland to the island, Intrepid's Land of Belize delivered the kind of experience I was hoping for. Highlights for me was the ATM caving tour in San Ignacio and swimming with sharks and rays in Caye Caulker. Our guide Marco was there to sort out all the kinks and made sure everyone had a good time. Thankfully our group dynamic was very good so we made new friends after the trip!Show moreIntrepid Travel commented on this reviewHi Dennis, thank you for leaving a review for your Land of Belize adventure. - LMLee· April 11th, 2023Great, action packed tour with a small group. Marco was a great guide who dealt with everybody's individual needs/plans, Great sightseeing and options, ATM caves are a must if you are physically able. Accomodation choices were good (very high level in Belize city), maybe an improvement would be an option for upgraded accomodation at the beach in Caye Caulker/a resort - but clean and safe, only minutes to walk to the coast/beaches.Show moreTrip date: April 2023

- Debbi· March 14th, 2022This was my first solo traveling experience and it was amazing! Our tour guide Wilbert, was the best. - NVNatalie· January 15th, 2022Well-planned from beginning to end, a good combination of new things to learn, the nature to enjoy, wonderful weather and fantastic sceneries. We arrived a day early and stayed in Biltmore Best Western. All hotels are good, the excursions that our guide offered were excellent. We did two excursions through Viator and two with the tour operators that our guide has offered, and I would say that the ones we had locally through our guide are better value for money. Caye Caulker is a nice and relaxed place, having the Caribbean flavour, sadly, there are no sandy beaches there, but there are plenty of ways to spend a couple of days with all the range of excursions offered. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this tour.Show moreIntrepid Travel commented on this reviewHi Natalie! Thank you so much for taking the time to review our Land of Belize tour.
