- KKirit· September 25th, 2017World Expeditions organized a 20 day tour of Peru for our group of 31. Some were hiker types, some like it laid back. Most of us are vegetarians so much thanks to World Expeditions for taking care of our various needs. We had a truly great trip, thanks in many parts to Laura our tour organizer. She took care of every detail and just so happy everything went so smoothly. Lima tours, the guides, transport services, hotels, everything was very good. The quality and price just perfect. One of our trekkers getting sick was a downer but Laura managed all the changes in real time. The couple were very very pleased. Peru is an amazing country with a rich history. Don't rush it, take your time and mingle with the locals. Our tour included an island homestay. Not the best facilities but just loved the family we stayed with. My recommendation is not to stay at fancy hotels, instead stay central, mid range and you'll have a better encounter with the locals. Despite what you might read on the internet, Peru is safe, tourist friendly and pleasant.Show moreTrip date: August 2017
