Excellent trip! Cesar (“Cheche”) was a phenomenal guide, I do not think anyone could be a better guide or person. Only issue we had (and other people on the trip) was poor communication of the trip information for the start of the trip.

First the good things: Galapagos is an amazing! Everyone should visit to see what makes this a uniquely special place on the planet. Also, our guide (Juan Martin) was excellent! Bad things: It's expensive - but most people already understand this. Also, there was only THREE people total on this tour! Whilst they were nice - this does not amount to "group" travel. The whole point is mix with a bunch of people, and also the safety benefits this brings. If I had to do this again - I would have gone with G Adventures. I saw their group and it was like 10-15 people. Really disappointed with Geckos.

Great and enlightening trip! Loved the islands and the culture there. This trip encompassed all of what I wanted to see. The weather did not cooperate for the first 2-3 days of the trip, however we made the most of it and still enjoyed what there was to see on the islands. Our tour leader Randy did a good job as well. He tried to accommodate all of those not wanting to do the main expeditions and gave them alternatives on what to do. Tour leaders do not have an easy job. This trip also showed how the locals lived. We participated in local transportation and local cuisine, and even had time to ourselves daily for shopping or just meandering through the towns. My only criticism is that more time should be added to the trip 10-13 days would be better, and I would have payed more as well. Also, more time should be spend on Santa Cruz Island, given this has the most going on for tourists. Also, a more vibrant town. :-) A very happy customer

The content in our FAQ section is subject to change.
    • Why is this trip only for young people? Why not for anyone who wants to go?

    • Can you tell me the difference between the galapagos evolution and a taste of the galapagos tour?

The Galapagos Evolution tour has 6 nights included in a hotel instead of 4 offered in A Taste of Galapagos, as well there are 3 breakfasts included other than two.

    • What time does your tour depart and what time does it return to Quito? Also, is the flight from Quito to Galapagos Island included?

Day 1 is an arrival day, there will be a Welcome Meeting at 6pm at the starting hotel. The tour ends on Day 9 after breakfast.

A flight (approx 2.5-3 hours) from Quito to Baltra Island is included. The departure time will be between 8.20am and 10.30am depending on flight schedule time.
