Ana and Serge were awesome, Ana is very knowledgeable in the areas that we visited and Serge is an excellent driver and an all around nice guy. I would not hesitate to book with again with them as I now have some great pictures and memories!
- by DomingoOur driver and guide, Sergie and Anna did an outstanding job. We had some extreme heat to deal with, otherwise all went well.

The actual tour went off without any issues. We were picked up at the airport on time, taken the the hotels he had booked, and visited all of the sites. I fell in love with Bosnia-Herzogina and Northern Macedonia, though all 5 of the countries were nice. We had an incredible driver - Edis with Tour Mage - who was very professional, knowledgeable, and polite. In each new country, we had a city tour and learned so much about the Balkans. We grew to love the different cultures, food, music, wine, history, and beautiful scenery. The only downsides were the very hot weather (perhaps we should have selected May or September instead of July) and bad traffic at times. Everyday was in the 90's and sometimes 100+ degrees F. However, the car was air-conditioned and so were the hotels. Due to bad traffic, we didn't have as much downtime as we expected, but still greatly enjoyed the trip. Highlights were Sarajevo, Mostar, Dubrovnik, Lake Orhic, Skopje, and the two wineries we visited. A truly wonderful trip overall!
- by Elizabeth Carol ThachBosnia was an amazing place to visit. All yours were professionally ran and the guides were super knowledgeable. Elvis the tour manager was in touch daily to check all was ok and kept me up to date with pick up times. Hotel in Sarajevo was also excellent.

My daughter and I really enjoyed the Dubrovnik-to-Dubrovnik self driving tour that took us for 9 days and 8 nights through Croatia, Bosnia and Slovenia. The history and beauty of these countries was amazing and we would definitely plan to return some day, especially to Croatia. The hotels that TourRadar selected for us were very good, especially Hotel Neptune in Dubrovnik, where we spent three nights. If there is one area that I think TourRadar needs to improve on is the timeliness in delivery of travel vouchers. It said in their literature that I would be receiving these documents 2-3 weeks before the trip, but I had to call them several times -- finally speaking to a manager -- before they were able to get their partner company Nature Trips to send the documents. I only got them one week before the start of the trip and only three days before I had to leave for Europe. So this made me a bit nervous, since I had never used TourRadar before. Also, on their portal there is a section for me to view my Tour Itinerary. This information was never updated when we added an extra day in the city of Split in the middle of the trip (several months before our trip). So I wanted to share this itinerary with my family before I left, but it was not correctly listed on the portal. Marko from Tour Radar was especially helpful by providing some recommended restaurants along the way. We were able to eat at some of them and enjoyed our meals there. Overall, a very enjoyable trip.
- by Darren L SmithTheir service is really amazing! Sarajevo is really beautiful with its diversity of cultures. Naturetrips showed us from the first hand the culture, food and local traditions. We are the best ćevapi ( local dish) that we could ever find. Next, place we stayed was top noch , very clean, amazing service and very comfortable rooms. Overall , naturetrips are amazing to book your next trip with!!! Choose wisely guys.

- by Gerry WindI loved the Croatia and Balkans tour. It was the perfect mix of structured activities and free time. Our G Adventures CEO Adin was amazing. I would’ve liked one more day in Split, though.

Sadly Traveling with Intrepid was just plain disappointing. We were booked a double room on our Croatia Sailing Trip in 2018 for 2020 as the last part of our Honeymoon and was unfortunately like so many due to Covid, couldn't travel. The trip was pushed back to 2023 and we were excited to finally go. Booked 5 years in advance and the first book on our boat. Keep this in mind as we go . . . When we arrived, we found our boat was unavailable due to engine problems, understandable and a newer boat had been arranged, Great :-) We were driven to another wharf and led to our boat by our skipper. The room on board that we were given was not a double. . . Not even close but the other two couples on board were given large double rooms - how is this fair?? We paid the same and booked first!! (one of these couples only booked a few weeks before we departed). Why would you sell a single space as a double????? I was told "this is just how boats are". So we slept very little and woke up sore and stiff every day. Our skipper then proceed to advise us he had never had more than 5 guests plus himself on a vessel such small size - WE HAD 8 GUESTS PLUS HIM! My husband and i were expected to share a room the same size that the skipper had to himself, half the size of the actual double. One of the other guests had to sleep on the couch in the galley due to the configuration ( meaning we couldn't use it all trip), another guest was saturated in the night because his window seals leaked. We also got wet in the night as our window also leaked. We were then advised there would be NO SNORKLING GEAR as was promised on the Intrepid website - I was particularly upset by this as it was one of the reasons we even booked a sailing trip in Croatia. I adore snorkeling and was heartbroken. We were told to buy some gear ourselves when we stopped on one of the Island but couldn't find any at the places we stopped. The skipper then left us, we didn't see him until the next day - this happened every night and a couple of times, skippers from other boats had to come helps us secure mast lines etc because he had left us.. NO SAFELY BREIEFINGS ( i still don't know where the life jackets were), given vague directions to the supermarket and told we could no use the showers on the boat, only on land at the wharfs we stopped at overnight - some of which were truly gross. The skipper then proceeded to shower onboard EVERYDAY. He advised us we would be skipping 2 of the islands on the plan as we would need to conclude our trip one day early Including Vis and the Blue cave. When i mentioned this was something important to me to visit, he advised we would visit a better cave, much less busy. We didn't, we just skipped that whole part. We skipped 2 islands, TWO?! Completed our sailing a day early with NO COMPENSATION due to the boat needing to be returned to Split for the next group and have been ignored by Intrepid since, In fact they have lied repeatedly to my Travel agent about being in touch with us when we asked to discuss a partial refund due to the above reasons. We have been waiting almost 2 months and no contact at all from them. Croatia is beautiful and i highly recommend visiting, doing a sailing trip but 150% absolutely DO NOT DO IT WITH INTREPID. Just a S**T company with very little care for customers. "Pack as many as you can in" should be their Catch phrase. You ruined my Honeymoon Intrepid and you should be ashamed.
- by Jess WillettI would like to express my sincere appreciation for the wonderful experience I had during my recent tour with your company. Our exceptional tour leader Ivana Vidovic created personal connections with each of us. She took the time to understand our interests and made sure everyone felt included. She was extremely professional, passionate & knowledgeable of all countries & cities visited. I wholeheartedly recommend Ivana Vidovic and Intrepid travel to anyone seeking an incredible travel experience. Angela Miethke

- by OMAN SalalahWow wow wow! This was fantastic experience! If I had to choose where to spend only 3days in Balkans, this would be 1st choice!!! No hidden costs, and as I said above what you see is what U get! Location is PERFECT, on river bank, at finish of rafting tour. For only 135eur per person we had 3nights, 8 meals (all traditional, huge and AMAZING), day of rafting, day of 4x4 safari and hiking, all costs included. Beer and juices are excluded, but very very low priced.. Everything is really fantastic. Staff is great, so kind people, one manager spent over 2h with us and help us make plan for next days in area, I really appreciate than kind of things. Free wi-fi..free parking, very cozy accommodation in double bed bungalow Be aware if you are coming by navigation, last 20km navi can lead you on opposite side of river and if so-you will lose over 1h driving back Tara river is..............beyond all expectations, I have never experienced such s beautiful nature. Rafting is so much fun, but safe in same time (guides are very professional and equipment very good).

Excellent tour. I was made to feel special right from the go, as I received a very warm welcome. I learnt so much of the history of the Balkans and was introduced to places I had never heard of. The restaurant choices choices were wonderful. I learnt to eat and appreciate local food All guides were amazing but I loved Viktor in North Macedonia because of his friendly and quiet personality. Mike was amazing as a tour leader, who made sure everything was up to standard . He also checked that I was having a great experience. Ivan our drive is one of the best. To Tiana and Ivan the photographers who accompanied us, thank you for ensuring I had the best time. Your photographs and videos are very special. My highlights, way to many to mention but Kotor, Postajne caves, Tirana, Skopje and Sarajeva were some but for different reasons. Would I book Balkland again definitely. The experience is what counts and I really learnt to appreciate the varied countries and gained a small insight into their beauty and history.
- by Michaela SowdenBest Tour Ever!!! That is saying something since we travel by tour annually. We're already planning our next tour with Balkland!!! Mike treated us to an exceptional tour!!! It was the perfect balance of tour with plenty of personal time to steep ourselves in the peaceful serenity of Medjugorje and all the services available for visiting pilgrims. We were so grateful for the local guide Blazenka who Mike introduced us to. She shared the incredible history and spirituality of Medjugorje with heart felt joy and her own personal experiences. She also let Mike know that Ivan would be having an extraordinary apparition at the Blue Cross on our last night in Medjugorje so we were able to attend that incredible event. After saying good bye to Medjugorje, Mike took us to the Unesco heritage site Pocitelj, a 15th century village. Then we had a wonderful tour at the impressive Andrija Winery. On the drive back to Sarajevo we visited the gorgeous Kravica Waterfalls and the lovely Bona Spring recreational park!!! Our tour ended with an evening stroll thru historic downtown Sarajevo and a delicious final dinner together!!! It was perfect!!! We are so looking forward to returning for another memorable tour with Balkland!!!

Elton was a very knowledgeable and caring driver and tour guide. He endeavoured to allow all participants the best experience for them. The only negative remark is that there was a delay in repairing a tyre that was obviously faulty and we had a blow out on the road. A new car was organised quickly as there was an issue with another tyre.
- by Suzanne JoyceWhenever you think about hiking the Accursed Mountains in Albania, Kosovo or Montenegro, go for Choose Balkans. It is a terrific organisation and their self guided tours are perfect. Due to circumstances we had to change our hike, Brikena arranged everything for us. I love Choose Balkans and Brikena, they made our hike perfect!

Great itinerary, fantastic guide , the out of way places, clear instructions, great and polite driver, great humor from guide and very friendly. Wonderful tour.
- by Karmen HillAn excellent trip to a beautiful country with outstanding local guides. The itinerary provides a good mix of walking in great scenery with time spent exploring the cities of Bosnia. What was the most inspirational moment of your trip? The rafting trip down the Neretva River. This was my first experience of white water rafting and I found it exhilarating. The Neretva canyon itself is magnificent - with plenty of rapids punctuated by really peaceful sections between vertical rock walls. The walking in the Sudjeska National Park was a wonderful experience - rocky peaks and grassy hills. It was so quiet you almost felt that our party had the mountains to ourselves. What did you think of your group leader? Samer was simply outstanding - the best guide I have had on any of my trips. He is extremely knowledgeable about his country and provides a very balanced view of its recent history. He has a great love for the mountains of Bosnia and is sure to inspire you. He ensured that all the trip arrangements went smoothly and is an extremely patient guy - despite us probably asking the same questions several times over. During our visit to Bosnia Samer was ably assisted by Srdjan - a tower of strength, whose "Tardis" like rucksack produced flasks of hot water (tea/coffee), biscuits, fruit and all manner of nibbles to keep us going on the walking days. Do you have any advice for potential travellers? Go with an open mind and do not expect gourmet cuisine (especially at the start of the holiday in the first two hotels). The restaurants in Sarajevo and Mostar are very good, however, and the prices cheap. Is there anything else you would like to add?
