A delightful trip through the southern Lake District. There were some hiccups in transportation scheduling and communication between the tour operators, so beware of that on self-guided tours. But the accommodations were nice and the rest of trip was fantastic.

Wonderfull experience! Great B&B's-all very different ....exceptional walks,also varied with some more challenging than others.Would highly recommend!

Spectacular experience with brilliant tour director

Tour was good pleasant and very informative leader (Charlotte)and Gary was such a careful driver always alert and a careful baggage handler. Such hard workers and always smiling faces. It was jst the pace for me .

A great way to see some of the most popular and beautiful destinations in this part of the country. The itinerary includes stops in London, Bournemouth/Southampton, Exeter/Torquay, and Cornwall. One of the things I liked most about this tour was that it gave me the flexibility to set my own pace. I could spend as much or as little time as I wanted in each place, and I could also choose to do some activities on my own. This made the tour feel 100% personal and tailored to my interests. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested in seeing some of the best that this part of Britain has to offer.

Excellent use of time. Great versatility in sites visited. Hotel location ensured we were staying in the middle of things. Best driver. He handled weather and road detours perfectly. This was a great value. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and entertaining.

Overall we were very satisfied with the trip. The guide was knowledgeable and interactive with the group and brought the group together. The hotels were of good quality and well located in the city centres. We have liked the schedule to have allowed earlier arrival at our hotels, especially for the one night stays. Disappointed that we did not get time in Bowness as scheduled. We felt Gretna Green was an unnecessary stop.

Lorraine, our tour manager, was fantastic and has a great sense of humor. She handled difficult situations very well. Skippy, our driver, knows every inch of our bus and got us in and out of tight situations.

Avoid touring with Collette. They are a lazy company that does not invest time & effort into vetting their accommodations or itineraries. They don’t actually check out the tours before they send you on them. We spent more time in the coach and back tracking than we did actually off the bus doing things. One of the hotels where we spent 2 nights was so bad that I had to sleep on the floor; NOT WILLINGLY. The bed was so slanted I rolled out. Our emergency contact for the tour was on vacation so we were stuck there. This tour company is more concerned with getting your money than completing your dream tour. AVOID COLLETTE TOURS.

Started well ended bad Our driver Rob a young but grossly overweight man kept the temperature in the bus cold all the time as he was sweating, while he only wore short sleeve shirt all passenger had 3 layers and coat on On the 8th day 12 out of the 18 were coughing and sneezing I took all precautions as I got weak immune system from cancer but fall ill as well so missed out on events plus on a world trip and now have to continue being sick it's simply unacceptable behaviour from a driver. We asked to put the temperature up but it never happened. This simply ruined my while experience

This tour was excellent. Derek was a very entertaining tour guide & our driver had a great sense of humour. I highly recommend travelling with Tour Rad.

Your trip to Shetland was as you had described that it would be. I loved the experience, the sites and most of those on the tour. It was a lot more hiking than I had planned for doing for my legs. Our guide Tony was very helpful to me and others. We enjoyed him very much. I would have liked more interaction with locals and learning how they make their living in Shetland.

The tour was rated a 2. It should have been a 4. It was poorly laid out-a 12hr overnight ferry crossing with no sleep then av brisk 4 hr hike after arrival. It was downhill after that. I have travelled with intrepid 2 other times -i should have known better. This is it. Anyone who travels with them should think twice

Excellent guide and driver. Itinerary was good. Hotel experiences were a bit uneven.

This was my second tour with Dacey's, called the revisit tour. It did not disappoint. Can't say enough to recommend Dacey's tours. So much to see in Cornwall and Dacey's gives a great experience with wonderful sites and great lodging experience. David is a superb travel guides providing fascinating information and also a few jokes along the way. A can't miss tour for anyone.

I enjoyed my tour immensely in 2019. (When I entered correct date on this site it wouldn’t accept it! ) I booked another tour but coronavirus arrived. I thoroughly recommend David’s tour to anyone considering a trip to beautiful Cornwall. David is a fantastic gentleman, his itinerary is well planned and accommodation was delightful. I was fortunate to meet Doc Martin’s policeman - a real treat for me. If you are considering a Cornish tour please peruse David’s site. The only downside for me was the exchange rate between Australian dollars and American.

We had an excellent experience, Angela the guide was super (safe driving, clear communication, kind willingness to adjust, in my case recommending alternate walks when the group was embarked on a hike a bit above my level), hotels comfortable, food very good. Another lovely trip purchased from Tour Radar!
