Malaysia Tour Companies

The tour is well organised by G Adventures. We had a great group of people on our trip - they really made the trip! We saw the wildlife we'd hoped to see, though I'd hoped they'd tell us more information about what we were seeing and about Borneo itself. The accommodation is basic for the most part, perhaps more so than people were expecting. My top tip? Take water shoes with you as the beach is very rocky when you're visting Walai Penyu Resort.

This was an excellent tour touching on the culture and wildlife of Malaysian Borneo. It was made all the more special due to a very cool group of people and the efforts of our excellent tour guide Beverly. In addition to being an incredibly nice person, she is extremely knowledgeable as to the history and culture of Borneo as well as it's animals and birds. Bravo to Borneo, Intrepid, the group, and our fearless leader Beverly!

There were basically only 7 real travel days, for two 18 year olds the other travel companions were quite old. Sometimes food was included in the accommodation and sometimes not included the next day, even though we were still in the same accommodation. The visit to the village was great and the elephants

We were really looking forward to this trip , and it didn’t disappoint. From start to finish we had the best time . The orangutans were amazing as well as everything else we saw . Our guide Sevi was so knowledgeable, we enjoyed talking with him. Our guide on the river tour was Leo and again, a lovely guy, friendly and knowledgeable too. Overall we are pleased we did the trips .. Deb and Brett

Way, way, way overpriced. This was not a tour, but just a series of hotel reservations and transfers. You could easily set this up on your own with 2 hours of research and 1/4 of the money. Don’t use this company. I booked another trip through tour radar with Intrepid and it was worth the price. If I could give it zero stars. I would. Don’t do it!

This Malaysia tour was unforgettable with an excellent schedule. I left one of my bags at the Kuala Lumpur airport and realized it when I got to the hotel. Our driver guide returned to the airport and helped get the bag for us. Thank you so much!

The tour was alright. The guide was great, but I feel like there was more to improve on vis-a-vis activities and information. For someone who’s a little more active when traveling, this would be greatly appreciated. Also as a forewarning, this tour group doesn’t actually operate in Malaysia, they outsource the actual tour to a local touring company in Malaysia so they’re actually the middleman who

Both guides didn’t use WhatsApp to communicate with travelers and didn’t use microphone so was hard to earn stand with the traffic and other noises unless you’re very close to them.City tours were limited and starts late like 9:30 In the morning and last about two hours.

The tour was fantabulous! Great sights, great food, excellent tour guides are ingredients for an unforgettable experience. Close encounters with wildlife in the primeval forest of Borneo as well as the mangrove forest in Langkawi are second to none; the boat rides with the help of local guides make for a thrilling adventure. Complementing the awesome nature discovery is the cultural immersion in the distinct cities of Malacca, Kuala Lumpur, Georgetown and Langkawi. A candid preview of Malaysia at its awesome best in two weeks! It is hands-down one of the best uses of one's time, energy, money.

Two comments 1. To add the Urang Hutan reservation in Kuching to the itinerary 2. The hotel in Bilit was not up to par, so if there are other options, it is worthwhile to check

Great Tour leader - Shame about the tour. After having enjoyed several other Intrepid tours I’m afraid our experience this time will probably be our last. The company really misrepresented the trip in their pre tour sales brochure - many of the “highlights” are no longer available post covid which Intrepid should and must have known. The absence of our fishing experience, our forageing adventure, our visit to a local village, etc were not last minute cancelations but pre known changed circumstances. Even the extra trips we were charged for were dissppointing. What is the point of a canopy walk in a section of forest almost totally deserted by wildlife avoiding any human activity. We saw one solitary bird on our ‘intrepid’ walk across the rope bridging. Fortunately, our excellent tour leader strived to make our days as interesting ad possible and the latter part of the tour improved considerably. Despite that i shall be much more careful which tour company we choose to use for our future trips.
