My husband and I had a wonderful time touring the west coast of Sardegna. The scenery was absolutely magical. The level of riding was on the high end of medium difficulty. We could not have completed the 320 kms in 6 days without the e-bikes. The gps app was fantastic. We were leary about going self-guided prior to the tour, but the gps app made it very easy to navigate. The accommodations were a bit volatile, some nice, some not so nice. First, one of the agritourismos charged us 40 euro per person for a very mediocre meal. Unfortunately, we had to eat there as there were no other options. Additionally, they had a mean little dog that unprovoked, nipped my husband (Sa Perda Mercada). Secondly, in Gonessa at B&B Domus de Janas, there was hardly a breakfast and it wasn't easy getting access to the accommodation, i.e no service. Of the other accommodations, Villa Canu and Hotel Le Torri were nice because they had pools, Muma Hostel was acceptable, agritourismo Terranieddas was in a beautiful setting and they served a wonderful meal for 30 euro which they let us split, i.e. 15 euro per person, the Marin hotel was just ok, but they had extremely friendly and helpful employees and the best breakfast of the trip. Additionally, I didn't find the man that ran the orientation (and also led the guided tour) very friendly or helpful to those not on the guided tour. Finally, it would improve the tour for the non-guided participants if the gps routes had more information regarding stops for drinks and food along the way. In summary, we thoroughly enjoyed the trip, met some nice people along the way and we would definitely, highly recommend this trip to others. We only offer criticisms to help better the Dolcevita experience for future participants.

Everything went smoothly on our Sardinian road trip. We had good communication with the organisers, especially when we wished to extend our car rental. The hotels were all of a very good standard, particularly the last one in Baja. We were able to see a lot of Sardinia and meet the welcoming people, at our own pace. I would totally recommend this trip. My only additions being a map and suggested sites to see and possible local your guide details.

Great way to see the countryside. Fantastic views along the coastline. A holiday with like minded people. The only downside was the lack of choice for restaurants due to being out in the country most nights - but what was available served good food. What was the most inspirational moment of your trip? Getting to the top of the long climbs on days 3 and 4.The views.  Not missing a photo opportunity due to sitting on the wrong side of a coach. Snack stops - just what you need to keep you going until lunchtime. What did you think of your group leader? Very professional. Took time to check everything was ok before, during and after the days cycling. Local staff also very helpful and informative. Do you have any advice for potential travellers? This trip was classed as moderate and that you should be of average fitness. If you are not fit, or used to cycling distances, then you may find some of the days not so enjoyable.  Don't worry about being left behind - you won't be. The group always re-groups at a junction so no-one gets lost.Take as long as you like - stop for a photo whenever you want.Be organised for a beach stop every day. If you don't like the beach, take a book with you or do a bit of extra cycling. Is there anything else you would like to add? Just enjoy it. The hard work pays off when you get to the top of the climbs. Don't count on losing weight. You eat what you have just worked off, plus more.
- by REbecca MacLeodSardinia has great beaches and mountains.Wonderful people and food. What was the most inspirational moment of your trip? Swimming in the sea after a gruelling walk.A beautiful blue green sea, transparent water and gentle warm sea breezes. What did you think of your group leader? Eric was very kind and tried hard to meet the individual needs of all the group. Do you have any advice for potential travellers? The rock is hard ,sharp limestone .Even the experienced hikers found the walks demanding.Would suggest Exodus reconsider reclassification to Moderate.Make sure walking boots are tried and tested with some heavy duty plasters. The walks are mainly linear and flora and range of wild life limited. The hotel was excellent -providing wonderful food and a relaxed family atmosphere. If you are interested in the history of the island then read up before you go as the local guides can be difficult to understand and some have a limited knowledge of the archaeology . The locals are friendly and helpful. They will go out of their way to make sure you enjoy all aspects of Sardinian life. Is there anything else you would like to add? The success of this trip depends on the dynamics of the group. If they are supportive ,inclusive and have a great sense of humour then you will have a great time.

First the positive. Olbia, Maddalena, and Bonifacio are beautiful. The waters are crystal clear. The sailing is amazing. The approach to Corsica is particularly stunning. The captain was extremely competent and we always felt safe. We only had 3 people plus the captain on the boat, which made the accommodations comfortable enough (8 people would have been way too many for me). On the not so positive side, the beaches were just ok and the snorkeling was unimpressive. We did not experience any walking trails nor much wild life. Breakfasts and lunches were all on the boat, as were 4 dinners. It was not our understanding that, literally, the captain’s only responsibility was to sail the boat. He didn’t help with paying for, preparing, or cleaning up after meals. With only the 3 passengers, this meant that on our vacation, we took care of him. We called him when lunch/dinner was ready and cleaned his dishes when we were all done. He didn’t seem particularly appreciative nor did he reciprocate in any way. He didn’t offer tips on walking trails or comment on wild life opportunities. He took the zodiac out once, on request. Basically, he dropped anchor and we were on our own. Overall, it was a beautiful trip but it didn’t totally live up to the expectations set by the itinerary.

Our tour guide Rosella did an excellent job in orchestrating the group and providing valuable information for the areas visited. Our driver, Enrico provided superb skills in maneuvering our tour bus on the road and throughout the small town narrow streets. The breakfast food provided by the hotels was nicely done. The lunches done by the local individuals were delicious.
- by GabrielOur trip was wonderful! Everything we expected and more. Our guide, Emma, was outstanding. She was very helpful, quite knowledgeable and very pleasant. I loved her personality! We enjoyed all the tours and the lunches were outstanding. I would do it all over again. Thank you for such a wonderful experience that I will always treasure.

Our guide Rosella was very good. She gave us information on things in each area (restaurants etc.). The tour itself was disappointing. Much of the discussion was about the beaches in your brochure about Costa Esmeralda. Taking us to a place to shop there was not what I wanted. I wanted to be on the beach. We could see the beautiful view in a distance from our bus but never got to it. I did enjoy our time in Bosa and Alghero where we actually got closer to the ocean. The lunch experiences were very good. The food and the people were exceptional. The one thing that could have been better is to have them for dinner rather than lunch as being active afterwards was difficult.
- by Rita StanfordI would suggest that the last hotel stay after Palau be in Olbia.
