Very patient guide, Bishnu Bhatta, and a helpful porter, Arus. They made my trek possible. The trek affords beautiful views of the mountains. Nepal Social Trek is always very responsive and very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend them.
- by Kwan Kew Lai FitzGibbonFrom start to finish we had a fantastic experience with Nepal Social Trek. The booking experience was smooth and informative, and the trek exceeded all expectations. Our group had people flying in from different locations at different times, and Nepal Social Trek were great at ensuring there was someone at the airport to pick each of us up. Our guide, Achut Panday, and the two porters that supported our trek to Everest Base Camp were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We booked the helicopter from Kathmandu into Lukla, which I would recommend as that seemed to be more reliable. The accommodation and food along the trek were basic but much better than we expected. Our guide was brilliantly organised and booked ahead which often meant we had the better rooms. The scenery along the route is breathtaking, pictures and videos that I had seen in advance do not do it justice. If anyone if thinking about booking this trip, I couldn't recommend it enough.

Our itinerary was well planned out in advance between the local tour manager and our own planner. The day in Katmandu was a whirlwind but satisfying. We went to a number of world heritage and religious sites where our guide was knowledgeable and closely involved. There was much opportunity to make changes if we had desired, but sticking to the original plans gave us the most. The next leg, the fragment of the Everest base-camp trek, was planned well, but also flexible. This time we needed the flexibility since one of our group got altitude-sick and couldn't go on after the first walking day. (No medical attention was needed !) It was easy to arrange him staying at one of the guest house stations, to be picked up on the way back, while the others went on. Everybody was friendly and accommodating. The guide and sherpa helped every step along the way. The return was a nightmare due to weather, making all the following travel-dominoes fall in directions that needed a lot of work to fix. Air transportation in Nepal - rural and even city - doesn't work the same way as in larger western hubs, and this was a rude, problematic, and costly adjustment for us. We can't fault the tour personnel for this, but it did leave us with some unpleasantness.
- by Valerie MunnsTour operator (Shailesh Pakharel) Tour guide (Bishnu Lamichhane) and Porter (Dick) were excellent. From the moment we arrived in Katmandu they took care of our every need and made sure everything went smoothly. They looked after transport, accommodation, food, answered every question we asked, were very professional and made sure we had a safe and enjoyable trek. I would highly recommend using them if you decide to go on this adventure.

I recently returned from the Everest Base Camp trek, and I cannot recommend the experience enough—especially thanks to my incredible guide, Sengi. From the moment we met, Sengi’s warmth, knowledge, and passion for the mountains shone through. He went above and beyond to ensure not only my safety but also that I fully immersed myself in the beauty and culture of Nepal. Sengi’s knowledge of the terrain and local customs was remarkable, but what truly set him apart was his attention to detail and care for me on the trek. Whether it was checking on my altitude acclimatization or sharing stories about Sherpa culture, he made every day special. His genuine kindness and patience helped me push through the more challenging parts of the trek with confidence. Thanks to Sengi, I felt supported every step of the way on the trek and was able to fully appreciate the awe-inspiring beauty of Everest. If you're considering this once-in-a-lifetime adventure, I highly recommend this agency, and especially Sengi as your guide!

The Everest Base Camp Trek with Sherpa Expedition was a remarkable adventure that surpassed all my expectations. The blend of natural beauty, cultural richness, and expert guidance made this trek an experience I will cherish forever. Organizational Excellence: From the initial contact with Sherpa Expedition, it was clear that this was a well-organized operation. Their pre-trek briefing was detailed and informative, covering everything from the physical demands of the trek to the cultural nuances of the region. This level of preparation was crucial for ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience. Guides and Support Team: Our guides, led by the incredibly knowledgeable and friendly Lakpa, were instrumental in making the trek successful. Lakpa’s deep understanding of the terrain, weather conditions, and altitude management was invaluable. He and his team provided constant encouragement and support, ensuring that every member of the group was comfortable and well-informed. Trekking Highlights: The trek itself was a series of unforgettable experiences. Starting from Lukla, we were treated to stunning views of the Himalayas, and each day brought new sights and challenges. The trek took us through charming villages, dense forests, and across high-altitude meadows. The acclimatization days in Namche Bazaar and Dingboche were particularly well-planned, allowing us to adjust to the altitude and explore the local surroundings. Cultural Insights: One of the most enriching aspects of the trek was the opportunity to engage with Sherpa culture. Our guides shared fascinating stories about their traditions, and we had the chance to visit ancient monasteries and witness local customs. These cultural experiences added a meaningful dimension to the trek, making it more than just a physical journey. Teahouses and Cuisine: The teahouses we stayed in were comfortable and provided a welcoming retreat after long days of trekking. The meals, prepared with care and attention, were a highlight of the journey. I particularly enjoyed the variety of dishes, from traditional Nepali meals to international options, all served with a smile. The Base Camp Experience: Arriving at Everest Base Camp was the culmination of the trek and an experience I will never forget. Standing at the foot of the world’s highest peak and taking in the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains was a powerful moment. The sense of achievement and the beauty of the landscape made the entire trek worthwhile. Safety and Comfort: Sherpa Expedition’s commitment to safety was evident throughout the trek. The guides were attentive to our health and well-being, and their proactive approach to acclimatization and altitude sickness ensured that we were well-prepared for the challenges ahead.
- by Aneex LeeTrekking to Everest Base Camp with Sherpa Expedition Guide Santa Tamang: A Journey Beyond Expectations Embarking on the Everest Base Camp trek with Sherpa Expedition Guide Santa Tamang was nothing short of an extraordinary adventure that exceeded all expectations. From the moment we set foot in Kathmandu to the final farewell at Lukla, every step of the journey was meticulously planned and flawlessly executed, thanks to Santa and his team. Pre-Trek Preparation and Organization The trek began with a comprehensive briefing by Santa Tamang in Kathmandu, where he outlined the itinerary, discussed safety measures, and answered all our queries with patience and expertise. His attention to detail instilled confidence in our group from the outset. The logistics, including permits, accommodations, and transportation, were handled seamlessly by Sherpa Expedition, leaving us free to focus on the upcoming adventure. The Trek Itself: Scenery, Challenges, and Accomplishments As we flew into Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region, anticipation ran high. Santa’s local knowledge and leadership became immediately apparent as we navigated the bustling streets and started our trek towards Phakding. His ability to gauge our group's pace and adjust the itinerary accordingly ensured everyone remained comfortable yet challenged throughout the journey. The scenery was nothing short of breathtaking. From lush green valleys dotted with picturesque villages to the rugged terrain of the Khumbu region, every turn presented a new marvel. Santa’s insights into the local culture and geography enriched our experience, offering us a deeper understanding of the Sherpa way of life and the challenges of living in such a remote yet awe-inspiring landscape. The trek itself was physically demanding but immensely rewarding. Santa and his team were always there to motivate us, provide encouragement, and ensure our safety at every stage. Whether it was navigating steep ascents, crossing suspension bridges swaying high above roaring rivers, or acclimatizing to higher altitudes, Santa’s guidance was invaluable. His expertise in high-altitude trekking, combined with a genuine passion for sharing his culture, made each day on the trail memorable. Cultural Immersion and Local Hospitality One of the highlights of trekking with Santa was the opportunity to interact with local Sherpa communities along the way. From tea houses where we shared meals and stories with fellow trekkers to visits to monasteries where we witnessed ancient rituals, Santa facilitated meaningful cultural exchanges that enriched our understanding of the region. Everest Base Camp: Achieving the Ultimate Goal Reaching Everest Base Camp was undoubtedly the pinnacle of our journey. As we stood in awe of the Khumbu Icefall and the towering peaks surrounding us, Santa celebrated with us, sharing in our sense of achievement. His knowledge of the area and its significance added a profound depth to this milestone moment. Conclusion: A Journey of a Lifetime In conclusion, trekking to Everest Base Camp with Sherpa Expedition Guide Santa Tamang was not just a trek but a transformative experience. Santa’s professionalism, expertise, and unwavering commitment to ensuring our safety and enjoyment made all the difference. His infectious enthusiasm for the mountains and the Sherpa culture left an indelible mark on our hearts and minds. Thank you, Santa, for an incredible journey that surpassed all expectations and created memories that will last a lifetime.

I am very very humble, very polite and helping guide. I has done Everest base camp and chola pass Gokyo trek with Mark and John. The review has been placed at google and trip advisor review. I have also done the trek with the famous YouTuber Jordon.
- by TimoThe idea of this adventure came out of the blue in 2023. And honestly, Alpine Ramble Trek is the only company I checked out because of the great reviews. I thought I was just sending a query but after a few emails with Dil (company owner) an itinerary was laid out and that sealed the deal for me. And here we are June 2024, I’ve completed the 12-day trek to EBC. What a grand experience! Something I will never forget. Alpine Ramble Trek definitely took care of everything, didn’t have to worry about a thing. From guide, porter, accomodations, transportation; all boxes ticked. All I needed to do was walk, enjoy the sceneries and get to the next point. Big thanks to Dil for such an organised trek! In saying that, I wouldn’t have survive this trek without the help of my amazing guide Mr Nir Gurung and porter Mr Robin Tamang. Being a solo traveller, safety is always priority. And I’ve felt safe throughout the trek. They looked after me like a sister, always checking if I was okay especially when I was showing signs of high altitude sickness. Nir handled that expertly! We communicated openly and made plans accordingly. Thus, I completed the trek safely! They constantly reminded me that slow is okay. “No rush, we have time” - their constant encouragement taking a lot of pressure off my back. Nir’s knowledge of the Himalayas and his openess to share that is commendable. Robin’s pleasant demeanor is comforting. No dull moments with these two. And I’m in awe of their ability to walk, talk, sing, whistle, carry heavy load and still smile, laugh and breathe comfortably without missing a beat. The best mates for a challenging journey! Thank you Nir and Robin! You’ve been awesome! Let me reiterate TRANSPORTATION. On the day I needed to fly out of Lukla the weather wasn’t favourable, which means flying out is not an option. These things happen with monsoon season just starting. However, I didn’t have to worry much because Dil was one step ahead and had a helicopter sorted out for this situation. He had all paperwork sorted out for my travel insurance claim. Above and beyond right?! Alpine Ramble Trek service - gold class. So if you’re planning to do a trek in Nepal check out Alpine Ramble Trek. They’re one of a kind. You will not regret it!

We had booked the Everest X-Press for 9 days, shortly before the start of the trip I got a call from the tour guide. He asked if we wanted to extend the tour as we had planned a buffer day before and after. After a long back and forth, we agreed to start a day earlier in order to acclimatize for an extra day in Namche Bazzar. However, our flight from Doha to Kathmandu was delayed by over 6 hours and we arrived much too late, as all flights and helicopters were booked for an indefinite period due to the storms. Lukla could only be approached in good weather. We were therefore asked if we wanted to switch to the ABC with additional Poon Hill Trek instead of the EBC. As we had no other choice we agreed and the person who had picked us up from the airport, who is also a trained guide, told us he needed 3 hours then he would be ready for the adventure up to the ABC. Without further ado, we sat in a public minibus from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Due to the landslides and roadworks on this route, the journey took over 10 hours and we arrived in Pokhara late at night. From there we took a cab to the entry point to climb Poon Hill. The hike was fabulously beautiful and well organized. The guide was extremely helpful and happily assisted us with everything. We reached ABC with ease as planned. On the descent to Jhinu, our guide also invited us to the local hot springs. We returned by plane from Pokhara to Kathmandu. We were able to arrange the flight simply by sending a WhatsApp message to the tour guide. All in all, an extremely exciting and beautiful adventure trip. The people in Nepal are very nice, sincere and helpful. The only thing is that the times are more of an "estimated guess".
- by Gernot PeyfussThe Everest Base Camp tour was a memorable experience, with stunning views and well-organized trekking days. Communication throughout the trip was excellent, and the team was very flexible in adjusting plans when unforeseen circumstances arose, ensuring the trek went smoothly. Overall, a great adventure with a supportive and adaptable team.

Organized 15-day trek to Everest Base Camp with Kumar as guide and Santos as porter. Everything went very well, with a few Nepalese incidents that were beyond the organizers' control at the end of the trip. (Take a changeable plane ticket for your return). They took care of everything. We were very well looked after. I recommend outshine adventure
- by Lancelot GailhacOur experience with Outshine adventure was perfect from the begining to the end. All the organisation was well managed and adapted to our needs during the trek to fit better to what we wanted. The guide Kumar and the porter Santos were nice and really professional but also fun and friendly to spend a good time. They really know the mountains and the risks and gave us great advices. I really recommand this agency !

- by pino martinoMy guide! Rajesh was so amazing the entire trip! I got food poisoning on day 12 of my trek and he made sure a guide was with me at all times and was very supportive. The next day when I felt better he made it a priority so I could finish my goal to base camp, while also making sure I was in good enough health to move on.

My wife and I wanted something adventurous and affordable, and boy, did we hit the jackpot with this one! First off, the team at Mountain Rock Treks was top-notch. They were super friendly and made us feel right at home. The whole journey was a visual feast for the eyes. I mean, come on, the beauty of the Everest region is mind-blowing! Majestic mountains, snow-capped peaks, and breathtaking landscapes were everywhere we looked. It was like being in a fairytale. The helicopter return was the cherry on top. We got to witness the grandeur of Everest from up above, soaring through the clouds. It was an experience like no other, and trust me, the pictures we took are envy-inducing! If you're up for an adventure that won't break the bank, I highly recommend Mountain Rock Treks for their Everest Base Camp Trek with a helicopter return. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness the beauty of the Himalayas up close and personal.
- by Isobel ArcherI hiked for two weeks straight, going up to Everest Base Camp. It transformed my life, man. My whole perspective changed. Seeing the Earth from up there and reflecting on my existence, it's mind-blowing. The trek, starting from Lukla and back, was like nothing I've ever experienced. The views, the mountains around Pheriche, Lobuche, Gorakshep, and EBC, and those insane peaks like Thamsherku, AmaDhablam, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Mount Everest, were beautiful. Deepak Pandey from Mountain Rck Treks planned the whole trip flawlessly. And, when our flight got canceled, and we were stuck in Lukla, he arranged our flight and saved the day—such an incredible and reliable person he is.

I had such an incredible trek up to Everest base camp with Broad Adventures. They were able to customize our trip to meet our group needs and were great at handling changes when things needed adjusted mid-trek. My guide Gyanu was very sweet, you could tell he not only cared about our well-being but wanted us to have the best experience. Ramesh kept us updated leading up to the trip and made sure we felt comfortable every step of the process. I will definitely be booking with them again for my next adventure in Nepal.
- by Kate McCayFantastic experience Cannot credit the team at broad adventures enough. Trek was run perfectly well, communication and organisation was superb. The administrative team went above and beyond to deliver the best experience. We felt really secure and well looked after. The guide Gyanu is my favourite person ever!! Nicest man, knowledgeable, funny and the most iconic part of the trip. Porters unreal also. Loved everyone.

Fantastic experience with top notch guide and porters! Very easy to get along with, knowledgeable, and helpful
- by Carver ShawThis rating has been a matter of some internal discussion… On one side, the trip worked well most of the time, and our guide Ganga was kind and professional. However, there were a couple of points that made our trip not as good as it should have been: -The assistant guide was a bit of a pain most of the time. He did not speak English, so the communication was non-existent. He seemed to think his role was to stop us when we were walking faster than his perceived opinion. He was like a moving hurdle in front of us most of the time. Local customs like non-stop spitting (each with a thorough and loud throat-clearing) did not help to the experience. -Secondly, on the way back, there was a problem with the flights back from Lukla to Kathmandu. Bad weather meant delays and one day waiting in Lukla. We were told that it would be impossible to get on a plane the following day, because of the backlog, and had to pay 450$ extra each to come back by helicopter. However, some other groups didn’t have any problem with the planes and the flights back. Maybe there wasn’t enough space for all stranded people, but we didn’t receive good communication
