I had a good time on this tour and my guide Dilaram did a great job showing me around the Nepali countryside at the foot of the Annapurna range and I learnt a lot about Nepali culture through him, though there was a bit of a language barrier at times. He is also a great photographer if you're looking to get nice pictures of yourself with the mountains. Although if you are looking to properly explore the mountains and nature, I'd recommend booking a different tour, as this was very much just a walk in the villages and always a stone's throw away from the city. I was slightly disappointed by that, but it was my fault I didn't read the description properly. If you're looking for a chill and easy walk in the fields and villages, this is the tour for you. To give you an idea, the first day was a steep ascent of 600 meters that took less than 2 hours, followed by a check-in to the guest house and a lunch break, followed by a 2-hour stroll in the village. The second day was a 6-hour walk to Saranghkot, followed by a check-in to another guest house, lunch break, and then about a 2-hour stroll around the village (but that's flexible depending on how much walking you're up for). The final day was just a 2-hour steep descent to the foot of the hill, followed by a visit to the local temple after which I was picked up and driven back to my hotel.

too may to mention really, but Bhaktipur stands out, several temples and the repeated opportunities to view the Himalayas. This involved more walking (including 1000's of steps) than I had anticipated. Nevertheless, the effort was worth it

This is the second time that I've opted to do a hike with this company. Administrative matters were sorted out seamlessly, and the team accommodated our requests. Our guide Buddha was very resourceful and patient. We managed to, in spite of monsoon rains, get a beautiful view of the mountain ranges at Ghorepani. Highly recommend.

Our guides shared fascinating stories about their traditions, and we had the chance to visit ancient monasteries and witness local customs. These cultural experiences added a meaningful dimension to the trek, making it more than just a physical journey. Teahouses and Cuisine: The teahouses we stayed in were comfortable and provided a welcoming retreat after long days of trekking. The meals, prepared with care and attention, were a highlight of the journey. Really great experience! Dawa Sherpa and Dorje were both incredible and we would not have made it without them. The weather did mean we were delayed 4 days in starting the trek but Ram did his best to help us. The scenery and the history were absolutely beautiful and the accommodation including the food were absolutely better than expected. We made friends for life with others on the tour and would absolutely recommend this trek to anyone.

Everest Base Camp October 2024. Ram at Sherpa Expedition and trekking company did an excellent job at organizing our trip to EBC for 9 of us from ages 23-67. Ram answered all of our questions promptly and took care of our every need. During the 12 days of trekking, our guides Mindu and Nima were extremely helpful. Mindu who has submitted Mt. Everest few times, was knowledgeable, helpful, caring and friendly. Mindu gave us great advice daily on how we can improve and make our journey possible. He constantly asked us about our health and checked on all of us. His efforts and encouragement made it possible for us to complete our dream. Nima was always with us and became best friends with our kids! Nima was with us every step from the day we landed in Kathmandu till the day we flew back. The team of Mindu including Nima and the 5 portors (Chiri, Tirtha, Manoj, Sam, Jigresh) were like a family to us and took such a great care of us. Loving Nepal! Such a rich culture and historical country with beautiful arts/kind people.. appreciate so much that we visited and did so many cool things during 13 days, felt like everyday was the highlight of the trip?sunrise hike to see the mr Everest mountain range / ancient city walks/ wild nature park safari with traditional canoe and Jeep/ the Buddha birth place / himalaya mountain range 3Day trekking / beautiful river whitewater rafting……and more activities along the way, not mention the opportunities of trying all kinds of local cuisines, drinking special local liquor “hot Tongba”… last but no least, so lucky to travel with a very nice group of people together, definitely made the trip super fun and enjoyable with great companies! We booked the Langtang valley trek with Tour Radar and paid extra to have a guide - Dipesh and porter - Milan, who were invaluable, kind, patient, great humour (they were 23- we are 50!) especially when my friend was unwell at the top of the valley. Great company to use, good consistent communication beforehand and during our stay in KTM. The package included a guide with a privatee car for a few hours to see the cultural hotshots in KTM before the trek and who also dropped us off for our onward flight at the end of the trek. We stayed in hotel moonlight in KTM before and after the trek which was comfortable with a good restaurant and spa attached where we had very reasonably priced treatments. Great value. Great customer service. Great trek itinerary and amazing staff on the ground. Would def. recommend.

We had booked the Everest X-Press for 9 days, shortly before the start of the trip I got a call from the tour guide. He asked if we wanted to extend the tour as we had planned a buffer day before and after. After a long back and forth, we agreed to start a day earlier in order to acclimatize for an extra day in Namche Bazzar. However, our flight from Doha to Kathmandu was delayed by over 6 hours and we arrived much too late, as all flights and helicopters were booked for an indefinite period due to the storms. Lukla could only be approached in good weather. We were therefore asked if we wanted to switch to the ABC with additional Poon Hill Trek instead of the EBC. As we had no other choice we agreed and the person who had picked us up from the airport, who is also a trained guide, told us he needed 3 hours then he would be ready for the adventure up to the ABC. Without further ado, we sat in a public minibus from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Due to the landslides and roadworks on this route, the journey took over 10 hours and we arrived in Pokhara late at night. From there we took a cab to the entry point to climb Poon Hill. The hike was fabulously beautiful and well organized. The guide was extremely helpful and happily assisted us with everything. We reached ABC with ease as planned. On the descent to Jhinu, our guide also invited us to the local hot springs. We returned by plane from Pokhara to Kathmandu. We were able to arrange the flight simply by sending a WhatsApp message to the tour guide. All in all, an extremely exciting and beautiful adventure trip. The people in Nepal are very nice, sincere and helpful. The only thing is that the times are more of an "estimated guess".

A Soulful Journey......

Our trek to the Annapurna Base Camp in early December 2024 was an unforgettable adventure, impeccably organized by Dil Gurung and his team. From the flights between Kathmandu and Pokhara and back to being picked up in Pokhara and meeting our guide and porter, renting sleeping bags and a duffle bag, every detail was handled flawlessly. Our knowledgeable guide, Iman Gurung, and our very strong porter, Laudi Gurung, were incredibly helpful and always there when we needed them. Especially on a day when we weren't feeling our best, they took great care of us. We thank Dil, Iman and Laudi for this amazing experience. If we come back to Nepal for another trip, we would be happy to do it with the same team!

Alpine Ramble was simply incredible from start to finish. My wife and I decided to do the Annapurna Circuit for our honeymoon. We found Alpine Ramble online and booked our trek directly with them. They customized our trek based on our schedule, took care of all tourist and trekking permits, car and plane bookings, etc. Once we arrived in Kathmandu, they picked us up and dropped us off to our hotel. The next day, Dil from Alpine Ramble came to our hotel and walked us through the entire trek itinerary. He also introduced us to our wonderful guide, Nir. From there, we embarked on the trek. Every step of the way, our guide, Nir, and our porter, Raju, were incredibly kind, gracious, thoughtful, helpful, and trustworthy. They cared about our experience, how we were acclimatizing, what we ate, and even the kind of room we got at the Tea House. We are so grateful for Alpine Ramble and for Dil, Nir, and Raju. They were professional and friendly and made our honeymoon wonderful. A truly life-changing trip made possible by Alpine Ramble!

Trip Of A Lifetime! Agate Travel planned and executed an amazing 7 day trip of Nepal for our family. We had best-in-class guides that were very in tuned to our needs and who went out of their way to make sure we had one incredible experience after another. The highlights are too many to mention and include visiting ancient temples and historical sites, exploring picturesque villages, seeing spectacular views of the Himalaya mountains, dining with a Nepali family, hearing monks chant, learning to make mo-mos, taking a stunning hike, walking the streets from Kathmandu and so much more. Everywhere we met the kindest people, enjoyed excellent food, and stayed in boutique hotels. Our travel agent Anki regularly checked in with us and helped with any pivots we want to make. The trip was outstanding and Nepal a magical country to visit. If it is on your radar to go, don’t hesitate and take the trip!

I am not much of a reviewer. But the service provided by TCG needs to be recommended and hence this review. I undertook this trip in mid September. Normally, rainy season should have been over, but this year it was an extended rainy season, so seasonal drizzles were common. I was met at the airport by my Guide Mr. Dinesh. An excellent person with an overall information of the history and geography of any location in Kathmandu. I was boarded in a Heritage hotel (Wifi in the hotels are not good because of mountainous region. Better to opt for a local number with 4G Data). The local cuisine (I prefer to eat the locality cuisine of the place I visit, in this case Nepali food), was awesome. Even Nepal has different cuisines like Newari, Momos, Thakali, etc.). Thamel is the tourist place of Kathmandu and most visited by all tourists, which I avoided as best as I could. Most temples, do not allow photography, so please do check before clicking away. Snakes are revered animals in Nepal. The Chandragiri hill and the Mountain flight were the sightseeing highlights of this trip. Chandragiri Hills have a cable car ride to and fro. The mountain flight is operated in the mornings. Its best to take the first mountain flight of the day (as the sky is likely to be more clearer). According to me a trip is made most memorable by the guide (Mr. Dinesh Maharjan), The vehicle and the driver (Mr. Arjun) and the company which organised this trip with their local partners (in this case TCG and Associate Travel). Special thanks to Lexi from TCG who organised this whole trip along with all her team members.

Beautiful part of the world with an amazing guide!

There was a bit of misunderstanding about the contents of the tour but they did their best to solve the problem. The safaris are worth doing. The hotel is nice. The driver was also a great guy.

Overall it was a good trip. I have a reliable driver for my entire trip myself. The organizer, Mr Sanjeev, did some good suggestions as how to, for a trip to suit my case. Have had some misunderstanding about money at the end but was sorted out ok.
