The trip was fantastic. Lots of animals and vast Savana country. Our guide Simon was exceptional. He has a great knowledge of the park and the animals, is a very good driver and very friendly and humble. We stayed at Rhino Tourist camp which has everything you need.
- by Caroline VoigtsThis tour was fantastic but Ronald our tour guide was the one who made it incredible! He was able to answer all of my questions not only about safaris but about Kenya in general. During the safari, he was able to find the big 5 sometimes before anyone else! I had an unbelievable experience seeing lions, elephants and cheetahs up close. This tour and Ronald are perfect for anyone who wants to see Masai Mara in a short time. The lodging was also great (Jambo Mara Camp)- the staff went above and beyond to make sure all my needs were met. Nelson (the chef) even knocked on my door one evening to make sure I didn’t miss dinner! (I had fallen asleep after the afternoon safari) everything about this tour was amazing and I highly recommend! The only thing I tell other tourists is to bring a book or something for the long car rides!

Fully service camping, was comfortable, great toilet and shower facilities. Camp close to masai mara park. Great food cooked by the chef.

The tour was a disaster. We've been picked up from our place by a van and not by 4x4. After approximately 6 hours driving we arrive in what the operator called camp. We had a room which needed a huge amount of hygiene improvements, no enough water for shower and the toilet didnt flush (we had to use the outside public toilet for our needs so we can flush it). Craftily the owner of the camp advise us that they will be a chance of power shortage as the country is rationing, but we found out it was a complete lie as it was the only one who were cutting the power off to save money. You imagine arrive at the camp from a full day safari and turning back to facilities with no water, electricity and Internet. It was a nightmare as I couldn't connect with my loved one to reassure them that everything were great (but it wasn't). The food choice were four and one vegan option. For breakfast we had a basic choice and the milk was mixed with water, and when I asked for only milk option they were upset and gave me just a small cup of it. We were greeted with not positive attitude, but with hostility, and wherever we went the tour guide strategically stops to shops so we can spend our money in each of them. Another scam. At the end of the safari they asked us for tips. None of our group gave one. They are hidden extra mandatory fees to participate to this safari, so read the small print at the end of the advert description. Avoid a d don't consider this operator.

Kenya Picked up from my hotel at 0640, before breakfast started. At 230 still not to camp and so far no meal or even water provided. Arrived a bit after 3. Road in very poor condition. Van is not appropriate vehicle for these roads or a game drive. Camp is similar to ones in listing, but does not look as nice or offer as much electric. I sent my dietary restrictions in. It’s a surprise every single meal. Tour says will drop us to our location. But when we get to middle of Nairobi, driver says now you must uber to airport.

We just witnessed the wildebeest migration in masai mara, what a 💎, one of the seven wonders of the world. We definable are lucky to catch these event live.
- by Mery VloughtAn enthralling and delightful tour. A perfect experience that gives one a chance to connect with wildlife, create beautiful memories, and have fun together with family and friends. Watching herds of up to a million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of gazelles and elands makes it satisfying and leaves one fascinated.

I made and paid for the reservation that inlcuded 3 game drives with a Land Cruiser 4X4, and without informing me they modified the tour for only 2 game drives, and offered and lousy MiniVan, not proper for dirt roads, broken bridges, flooded roads. They charged for 3 park entrance fees knowing that it would be only 2. I could go on only one game drive when they provided a 4X4 as reserved. Lunch on that day was terrible, not to be eaten. The manager of the tour company threatened me to not leave Kenya unless I agree with the changes. NEVER GO ON A TOUR WITH A MINIVAN. Bad driver almost killed all the passengers on a lane pass over the Rift Valley and the incoming 6 axle truck CAME TO a full stop bumper to bumper NOT TO KILL all of us.
- by itamar zacMasai mara was beautiful and mesmerizing. But my review is for the company and people.. After I went there I realized I've been charged too much for such a little time. The guide kept pushing us to go to Masai village and give 'tips' instead of evening game drive. There were a few people here and there who would spend 2 mins with you and then ask for 'tip'. Also, on the 3rd day, the mentioned morning game drive in the itenary didn't happen. So basically I paid so much money + extra on 'tips' for just a 1.5 days of experience. Disappointing!

Bryan Kazungu of Big Zone Africa Safaris gave egregious misrepresentation of services, as well fraudulent and deceptive behaviors that caused significant inconvenience and he tried to financially harm me. I was initially invited to join a sailing trip in East Africa. My long-time friend informed me that her friend, along with her family and a couple, were planning a 3-day safari in Kenya following the sailing trip. I was provided the friend's contact details, and we corresponded via email due to her family commitments. I made an inquiry through TourRadar and received responses from both TourRadar and Big Zone Africa Safaris. The friend forwarded an email about a flight with Kenya Airways and informed me that she sent an email I sent her to asking for info. on the Safari to Bryan and he called me. Bryan claimed to represent TourRadar, which I believed given his response to my inquiry through TourRadar When I asked about the groups booking, he confirmed that I would be booking through TourRadar, just like the group. He assured me that booking with him would be the same as booking through TourRadar and pressured me to commit directly with him by continuously following up via WhatsApp. During our conversations, I expressed my intention to obtain travel insurance. Bryan, asserting that he was the managing director of the tour, assured me that insurance was unnecessary as I would receive a full refund if I canceled or was unable to go. The group were friends of his and that I was in safe hands with him. Bryan's engaging demeanor and assurances built a false sense of trust. On March 7, 2024, I booked through TourRadar, but Big Zone Africa Safaris issued the invoice. When I inquired, Bryan misled me by claiming this was standard practice and reassured me that everything was fine. However, On March 19, 2024, I received an email from TourRadar inquiring about if I still had an interest in the trip. I reached out to Bryan, who then admitted that he had not processed my payment through TourRadar but directly through him, contrary to his earlier statements and instructed me not to inform TourRadar. I had not talked to him since March 8th. He attempted to pacify me with additional perks- a hot air balloon ride, touring Nairobi, an art museum and Giraffe center. He requested that I buy him a phone from US, and he would pay me back, which I found highly unprofessional. Despite my clear indication that I was uncomfortable with this request, Bryan persisted by sending me the phone description. I texted him to say that I did not want to get him a phone and suggested he check with the married friend. I gave a hint that this request is inappropriate and point out he was trying to take advantage of me being single. On June 30, 2024, Bryan informed me that my flight had been canceled and rescheduled for July 1sT in the evening. After extensive attempts to contact the airlines to find an earlier flight, without success, Bryan asked me if I wanted him to do the refund then. I told him hold off, let me keep trying to no success. We talked and I asked him to proceed with my refund. He promised to process it on July 2nd, then July 4th, then July 12th and continued to promise and delay it. By July 18, 2024, Bryan stated that my refund was ready and would be processed in a couple of days, but by July 22, 2024, but I still hadn't received it. On July 25, 2024, After being played so many times about my refund, I confronted Bryan about the missing refund and confirmation and that I will contact TourRadar if I don’t receive either. Bryan then falsely claimed that I had been given a choice to book with him or TourRadar, which is a blatant LIE and an attempt to cover up/fabricate a story to cover up his deceptive practices. Bryan’s response to my complaint incriminates him. I had not mentioned any discrepancies about TourRadar or Bryan cutting Tourradar out of the deal. I only intended to highlight his false assurances about the refund policy to Tourradar. Bryan’s subsequent lies and contradictory statements have only exposed his fraudulent actions further. He highlighted what he did to me and exposed his own guilt on his own. As a consumer, I have the right to reach out to the appropriate party in regard to my purchase. Out of Bryan’s own guilt, he quickly became defensive and threatened to only give me my money back under the following conditions: A) Not to expose Bryan to Tourradar. B) He will only refund me if I do not speak to any other parties. This was an inappropriate abuse of power. He violated my consumer right. Looking back, I understand why he sidestepped my request for travel insurance with the travel company and simply told me I'd be refunded if necessary. Addressing the insurance would have exposed that I was dealing with him directly rather than through TourRadar. By covering up one shady transaction, he’s now involved in another questionable deal by withholding a refund that was part of my tour purchase. It seems he was trying to take advantage of me, even going so far as to ask me to buy a phone for him. Bryan’s actions constitute a clear breach of consumer trust and fraud. His misleading claims, constant delays, and refusal to honor his promises have caused significant inconvenience and financial harm. I have multiple What'sApp messages documenting his assurances and subsequent failures to deliver on them. I filed a dispute with my credit card company and they successfully won my dispute against Bryan. This took Three months of dealing with his fraudulent business practices. Since this ordeal happened, I have found out that Bryan is a working subcontractor. This is definitely not "we are selling the dream," that his website claims for a vacation trip! Complete Fraudster!
- by Yvette FierroEverything went great from the pickup to the campsite to the dedicated safari driver. Bryan, the tour operator, is fantastic and always available to answer questions and help out with any issue that comes up - even helping with other parts of the trip besides the safari.

The Gorilla Experience was amazing, but the overall trip was quite poorly planned. It resulted in us travelling on the bus for8-10 hours a day, often arriving at the camp site only an hour before it was dark. If I had known that this was going to be the case, I would have just flown to Uganda and gone straight to the Gorilla Park! Also our guide was not very good- very little information was given so I felt quite disconnected from the countries.
- by Alasdair MaclellanThe tour was good but a lot of space for improvement . Lunch menu could be reviewed. Some times the Facilities in the camping sites were not working no flash or no hot water . Long driving hours , some times longer than mentioned in the trip notes. Out of the 16 days we had 5 full days of driving. So 11 days out of which the arrival and departure days. If you book in advance an activity you will be charged much more. In my case the golden monkeys was charged 180 usd and locally it was 100 usd. An other traveler booked in advance the ballon but she was not charged more . So there is some ambiguity in the pricing …. If you are Australian you would be privileged… as regards pricing . This is what I have understood. I am well traveled and it is the first time I see such ambiguity in the price of pre booked activities.

The tour was actually 6 days and 5 nights but the itinerary on tour radar is incorrectly noted as 5 days which confused me and i booked our tickets to fly out on the early morning of day 6 believing we would be finishing our tour on day five Please amend the tour itinerary accordingly Also the first night stay in Nairobi is at Hotel Embassy which was a real shocker It was situated near a meat market and mosque The room and shower was pathetic The pipes in the shower had duct tape and looked downright dangerous. In all our travels we have never had to stay in a hotel so downgraded. The staff though were very helpful. The safari drives were all really good and we spotted the big 5. I would appreciate tour radar getting back to me about the misleading itinerary
- by andrea d'souzaThe whole tour was 5*, from the accomodation to the safari. We enjoyed every bit of it. Our 5 guides were all amazing. These was a good group tour.
