Masai Mara National Reserve Tour Companies

The Gorilla Experience was amazing, but the overall trip was quite poorly planned. It resulted in us travelling on the bus for8-10 hours a day, often arriving at the camp site only an hour before it was dark. If I had known that this was going to be the case, I would have just flown to Uganda and gone straight to the Gorilla Park! Also our guide was not very good- very little information was given so I felt quite disconnected from the countries.

The tour was good but a lot of space for improvement . Lunch menu could be reviewed. Some times the Facilities in the camping sites were not working no flash or no hot water . Long driving hours , some times longer than mentioned in the trip notes. Out of the 16 days we had 5 full days of driving. So 11 days out of which the arrival and departure days. If you book in advance an activity you will be charged much more. In my case the golden monkeys was charged 180 usd and locally it was 100 usd. An other traveler booked in advance the ballon but she was not charged more . So there is some ambiguity in the pricing …. If you are Australian you would be privileged… as regards pricing . This is what I have understood. I am well traveled and it is the first time I see such ambiguity in the price of pre booked activities.

This tour was brilliant. Our guide, Peter, was incredible at finding the animals and we saw everything we wanted to up close and personal. The communication was clear, the accommodation was perfect for the budget price and we would 100% recommend it!

Kenya Picked up from my hotel at 0640, before breakfast started. At 230 still not to camp and so far no meal or even water provided. Arrived a bit after 3. Road in very poor condition. Van is not appropriate vehicle for these roads or a game drive. Camp is similar to ones in listing, but does not look as nice or offer as much electric. I sent my dietary restrictions in. It’s a surprise every single meal. Tour says will drop us to our location. But when we get to middle of Nairobi, driver says now you must uber to airport.

Across Africa is a truly professional company. They communicated clearly with me from the start. They liaised and coordinated with their local partners to ensure that I was picked up at the airport. The tour was well-organized. They have small personalized tours. Most importantly, and the reason why I would travel again with Across Africa, is that they have EXCELLENT customer service. Case in point: when the local tour operator mistakenly took me to the wrong hotel where no booking had been made for me, Across Africa sorted this out on the spot and in less than 20 mins. No questions asked and no excuses given. They found alternate booking and upgraded my reservation. The next day they contacted me to apologize and explain what had happened. That is the type of tour operator that I appreciate traveling with: one that helps resolves any hiccups on the spot. Highly recommend!

The tour was a disaster. We've been picked up from our place by a van and not by 4x4. After approximately 6 hours driving we arrive in what the operator called camp. We had a room which needed a huge amount of hygiene improvements, no enough water for shower and the toilet didnt flush (we had to use the outside public toilet for our needs so we can flush it). Craftily the owner of the camp advise us that they will be a chance of power shortage as the country is rationing, but we found out it was a complete lie as it was the only one who were cutting the power off to save money. You imagine arrive at the camp from a full day safari and turning back to facilities with no water, electricity and Internet. It was a nightmare as I couldn't connect with my loved one to reassure them that everything were great (but it wasn't). The food choice were four and one vegan option. For breakfast we had a basic choice and the milk was mixed with water, and when I asked for only milk option they were upset and gave me just a small cup of it. We were greeted with not positive attitude, but with hostility, and wherever we went the tour guide strategically stops to shops so we can spend our money in each of them. Another scam. At the end of the safari they asked us for tips. None of our group gave one. They are hidden extra mandatory fees to participate to this safari, so read the small print at the end of the advert description. Avoid a d don't consider this operator.

Great trip. Great driver and guide. Camp good. My recommedation to others is to get on this short trip adventure. Have fun!

Very disappointed with this tour. Bonvoyage Kenya Safari is a scam. I must contact Tourradar on Monday to explain in detail how the tour went and what we experienced. I plan to lodge a complaint with the tourism ombudsman if I am not reimbursed for this scam.

I made and paid for the reservation that inlcuded 3 game drives with a Land Cruiser 4X4, and without informing me they modified the tour for only 2 game drives, and offered and lousy MiniVan, not proper for dirt roads, broken bridges, flooded roads. They charged for 3 park entrance fees knowing that it would be only 2. I could go on only one game drive when they provided a 4X4 as reserved. Lunch on that day was terrible, not to be eaten. The manager of the tour company threatened me to not leave Kenya unless I agree with the changes. NEVER GO ON A TOUR WITH A MINIVAN. Bad driver almost killed all the passengers on a lane pass over the Rift Valley and the incoming 6 axle truck CAME TO a full stop bumper to bumper NOT TO KILL all of us.

Masai mara was beautiful and mesmerizing. But my review is for the company and people.. After I went there I realized I've been charged too much for such a little time. The guide kept pushing us to go to Masai village and give 'tips' instead of evening game drive. There were a few people here and there who would spend 2 mins with you and then ask for 'tip'. Also, on the 3rd day, the mentioned morning game drive in the itenary didn't happen. So basically I paid so much money + extra on 'tips' for just a 1.5 days of experience. Disappointing!

The trip was fantastic. Lots of animals and vast Savana country. Our guide Simon was exceptional. He has a great knowledge of the park and the animals, is a very good driver and very friendly and humble. We stayed at Rhino Tourist camp which has everything you need.

This tour was fantastic but Ronald our tour guide was the one who made it incredible! He was able to answer all of my questions not only about safaris but about Kenya in general. During the safari, he was able to find the big 5 sometimes before anyone else! I had an unbelievable experience seeing lions, elephants and cheetahs up close. This tour and Ronald are perfect for anyone who wants to see Masai Mara in a short time. The lodging was also great (Jambo Mara Camp)- the staff went above and beyond to make sure all my needs were met. Nelson (the chef) even knocked on my door one evening to make sure I didn’t miss dinner! (I had fallen asleep after the afternoon safari) everything about this tour was amazing and I highly recommend! The only thing I tell other tourists is to bring a book or something for the long car rides!

Fully service camping, was comfortable, great toilet and shower facilities. Camp close to masai mara park. Great food cooked by the chef.

The trip was very well organised and all timings and schedules were clearly explained. Our guide Peninnah and driver Patrick were great.

After John welcomed us most warmly, we went to the Masai Mara for 3 days. Our guide Steve was just the right man for the job. He is an excellent driver & guide. He would tell us what we wanted to know, and he was very helpfull and efficient (mostly in the background) in organising what was necessary. We saw many animals, the Big Five and many more, except a leopard, which is always very difficult to spot. The service and guidance was very personal and to the point, which made us really enjoy our stay! And the Sopa Lodge was excellent also, both the room, service and the food! Thank you CKC!

We booked a 7-day tour with CKC Tours and Travel and it was the perfect vacation. I corresponded with John over email and he answered 100 of questions before working out the perfect tour for us. We wanted a private luxurious safari and he planned it for us. That also within a very short time. John was amazing. He met us at the airport when we landed in Nairobi. He met us at the Nairobi hotel the next day. John came to the airport on the day we flew for our safari to Amboseli National Park and Masai Mara. All the places we stayed in these places were first class, and the guides were amazing. The food, drinks and service was top class. After our safari ended, John met us at the airport and spend half a day with us helping us with souvenir shopping etc. We just had the most perfect time. I would recommend John ad his team without any hesitation. He is very trustworthy and everything was exactly as he described for us. Thank you, John. I can't wait to go back!

Wonderful safari i have ever done with my family. Was very much comfortable, Nice cars. We saw many animals and enjoyed the food they offer in nice Camping Hotel🙏
