We loved our guides, he was knowledgeable, safe and fun. The rest was awesome, upgraded to deluxe and could not fault hotels or meals provided
- by Darcey NathanielWe had an incredible experience exploring Cappadocia, thanks to our amazing tour guide, Seda. She was not only incredibly knowledgeable about the history, culture, and geology of the region, but also made the tour super engaging. Her passion for the area truly shone through, and she made sure to personalise the experience, answering all of our questions with great detail and enthusiasm. She took us to the most stunning spots, from the mesmerising fairy chimneys to the hidden gem of Lake Tuz. She always remained flexible, ensuring that we were happy with our activities. Seda was most patient and accommodating, even when we wished to tweak our itinerary. She even went out of her way to ensure all of the Turkish foods and delicacies we researched were experienced at different spots. She made us feel welcome and comfortable throughout the tour. All of our individualized needs were met. If you’re planning a trip to Turkey, I can’t recommend her enough. She truly made our visit unforgettable! As for the pre-engagement with Ozgur, our trip planning went smoothly and he helped us customize and bring to life all of the sites we truly wanted to see! Thank you! Always a great review for Tour Radar

The two-day trip with international company was super. Omer is a great guide who knows a lot about the history. Hotel Perissia I would not recommend. As a solo traveler, you are not asked if you want something to drink with dinner. It is too far outside the center. A cave hotel would be better. I had inquired about the balloon ride from teeors but was told to arrange it locally. I did not get to the hotel until 10 p.m. on Sunday and when I did so on Monday, my first excursion day, it turned out that everything was already full for Tuesday. I think that was poorly arranged. The return transfer was not okay either. Outward in a super deluxe bus we were 1 hour 10 minutes away. In the shuttle back I was at the airport in 45 minutes.
- by Francis LeendertsWe had wonderful guides, couldn't recommend them more highly, and the driver in Cappadocia was also wonderful. Most of the other drivers were quite rude and ignorant though they drive well. Even with a language barrier, it is good manners to smile and boys a greeting rather than just ignore

I did NOT put excellent!!! It was good. Guides were average, not great. Too much unnecessary details. It is not necessary for the guides to talk just to fill up the time. Pickup on the first day could have been earlier to allow more time in the Grand Bazaar. We were supposed to spend more time at the G.Bazaar on the final day but it was closed. Obviously someone from Dorak should have known that it is always closed on Sundays. The visit to the salt lake was a waste of time and the lunch there was terrible as was the final dinner on the last day in Istanbul. Outside of those things, we had a nice time.
- by Richard Dan PowersWe saw so much in the short time we had in Turkey. Our tour guide Yasemin was fantastic. Her knowledge of the region's history, religion, architecture, etc was superb.

The overall experience was excellent. The tour included transfers from our hotel in Istanbul to the airport, the flights to and from Cappadocia (Kayseri Airport), pickup and transfers there, two nights in a hotel, and a great look at the highlights of Cappadocia. (It did not include admission to the sites that we visited, which could be paid directly in Turkish lira, or paid to the guide in lira, US dollars, or Euros.) This was a small group tour with two full days of touring in Cappadocia (requiring a very early departure from Istanbul the first day), that allowed people to join or leave on the day of their choice - some of the people that we met the first day had done "Day 1" of the tour the day before and were leaving at the end of the day; we got to do "Day 2" with them, and finished up with "Day 1" the following day - a clever bit of coordination that maximized flexibility. Our guide (Erdi) and driver (Okan) were helpful and informative, and it was a pleasure to meet them. The organization by the tour company (Tour Altinkum Travel) was among the best that I've seen. They provided very detailed information ahead of the trip - itinerary, hotel, pickup times, meeting places, airline flights, and contact information - that left us feeling very confident that we knew where we were going and what to expect. This level of detail also allowed us to identify a problem with one of the flights, which was corrected within hours when we brought it to their attention. Everyone charged with transporting us, in Istanbul and Cappadocia, was exactly where we were told they would be, ready with our names on a sign or a list. The tour itself covered the high points of Cappadocia, getting us to several fabulous sites that overlooked or walked through cliffside dwellings and rock formations, a major underground city, and the cave churches of Göreme. The Fresco Hotel, in the town of Ürgüp, was beautiful, with its own excellent restaurant, a spa located in a cliffside cave, and a rooftop bar and terrace. Several stops to learn about local crafts (leather goods, pottery, and jewelry) were interesting, if mostly geared to selling us things (at worst, an excuse to drink tea and rest our feet, and a good look at some of the local industries.) One place that I would have liked more shopping time was Göreme, where I skipped lunch with the group to go browse a couple of excellent carpet shops, with vintage as well as modern selections. (The shop called Village Dowry stands out.) My only other recommendation to Tour Altinkum Travel would be to add half an hour or so to the airport transfer times, both in Istanbul and Kayseri. Istanbul airport is enormous, and a little extra time is always welcome, and Kayseri airport, while it doesn't involve much walking, is trying to do check-in and security for 200 or so passengers (a full flight back to Istanbul) who are all arriving at the same time - we were the last ones on the check-in line, and the flight was already boarding by the time we got through security. Overall, though, every aspect of the trip went very smoothly (I realize that this is a matter of luck, but good organization helps), and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to add a quick visit to Cappadocia to a visit to Istanbul.
- by Claire Kwicklis Stumpf- The transfer from the airport took me to the wrong hotel. I has to pay to get from the wrong hotel to the right one. - No information given about the horse riding ie. what should I take, what should I wear etc. I was on my own with a young lad that didn't speak English. He was lovely thankfully but I had specifically enquired beforehand whether I would be with a group on the activities. As a sole traveller this was very important to me. The answer was yes so it was then a shame to find out I was on my own - the accommodation was Ok but it wasn't a cave hotel which is what I wanted and had originally had confirmed. Again, a shame seeing as I was in Capadoccia partly for this reason! - the two tour days were nice. Tge veggie option for the first day was 🍕. Not great un Turkey! - the tour finished an hour early on the second day. - tno confirmation for the return transfer was sent the day before, which happened with, everything else. Then it was half an hour late - only way to contact was on messages. Phone calls weren't possible which I found frustrating

All staff excellent. Drivers were punctual and tourist guides knowledgeable, pleasant and polite and no wasted downtime. IGLESIAS tour company excellent, highly recommended.
- by Dianne JacksonThe trip was super organized . The drivers were always on time. The hotel was also really great. Except for the food on the first day of the excursion I give full marks. Can only recommend the trip

A wonderful trip, extremely well planned!!! Thank you very much. Flights, transfers, hotels - everything worked out wonderfully. Guides were well chosen, friendly and especially in Cappadocia we were given a lot of interesting information. Just one request: perhaps send information about pick-up time, daily schedule, flight times and hotel names to the guests shortly beforehand. - With pleasure again, best regards, Elisabeth Bleicken
- by Elisabeth BleickenI was traveling with my 17-year-old grandson. The trip was super organized, everything worked out excellently. The Recital Hotel in Istanbul had a good location in the old town. The rooms were big and clean. The hotel in Cappadocia was a cave hotel, uniquely beautiful. All pick-ups, whether from the airport or from the hotels, were on time and were done in a big new Mercedes. Our very big thanks go to Umut. He answered all my questions quickly and competently before the trip. During the trip, he looked after us excellently. I can really recommend TourRadar.

Flawless... the only way to describe our trip. I had been to Turkey 2 years ago, contracted Covid and was stranded in Cappadocia as my tour group continued without me. Going back was a huge leap of faith and I brought my sister along for support. From the airport transfers, to drivers, guides and lodging... perfect.

We took the 7-night Istanbul and Cappadonia Tour with AllStar Travel in August, 2024. Senol Fehmi Kurnaz was our very excellent tour coordinator. For our first two days in Istanbul, we hit the highlights around the Hippodrome. The next day we took a daytime Bosphorous cruise, and visited another mosque and a palace. On both days, we had wonderful tour guides (Ourhan and Turkan) who were very knowledgable about all the locations we visited, and also were happy to answer any questions we had about Istanbul and life in Turkey. Lunches were very good. The two days in Cappadocia were especially wonderful, as it was our first time visiting it. Senol arranged a hot air balloon ride for us, which was difficult because it was at the last minute, at a reasonable price. Through the hotel, we arranged to see the Whirling Dervishes. Cappadonia is a must-see, and two days is just the right amount of time. Both our hotels were very nice, the Cappadonia hotel a bit more pleasant than the Istanbul hotel. Meals were very good in both. We were very impressed with the punctuality of all our activities. Tours started on time, and transfers to and from airports were almost to the minute. August isn't the ideal time to visit Turkey, but we had a wonderful, stress-free time largely thanks to Senol's very excellent planning, and the very professional people he works with. When we first arrived in Istanbul , he came to meet us, gave us a written itinerary as well as all our airline tickets and tour vouchers. He checked in with us every morning and every evening, and more often on travel days. In order to facilitate airport pick-ups, he sent short clips showing which exits to use and where to find the transfer staff. His professionalism is very impressive, and just what one needs when traveling to a foreign country. We're very happy to get a chance to work with him, and highly recommend him through TourRadar. - by Mona A BashTour was ok but stop at too many selling points. Hotel selection was fair, nothing spectacular. Istanbul hotel room is small but expected. service end breakfast was good. Cappadocia room was good but service and breakfast were very bad, subpar.

Very interesting and awesome experience! The guide was very good! He explained everything and was very happy answer to all our questions. The food is very tasty. The views are astonishing! The tour is a bit unbalanced, sometimes you have the feeling, that you spend more time on the road, but all of this is nothing when it comes to the taste of the culture and history you get while visiting museums, villages, workshops and etc. It was really unexpected to get this kind of experience. Comfortable bus, nice drivers and a very good guide make the road trip very smooth.

The flights were fine, and the 2 day guided tour was well planned, but the guide spoke bad English and the hotel accomodation was apalling (a youth hostel, dirty, smelly, sheets with holes in them, and we were assigned a group dormitory, me being 74 years old, information that was requested on booking. We had to pay an extra EUR 100 to get a double room.
- by Samuel CarlisleI had a wonderful time mainly due to the experiences involved ( I booked all of the additional options e.g balloon ride and bosphorus night cruise) . It was magical. I had some excellent tour guides. The accomodation in both Istanbul and Cappodocia were simple but fantastic. On both tours there was a great deal of walking involved so you need to be reasonably fit, mobile and enjoy walking. I went in October so it was OK but I would have struggled if rhe weather was any hotter. The only downside for me was that the communication from the company providing the tour was sometimes lacking. For example, times to be confirmed that were not always confirmed and I had to chase them up. To be fair, I booked only a week or do before departure and the company always responded eventually. However, I feel that this could be improved. I also felt that not enough time was given for the airport transfer for the internal flight to cappadocia. The traffic in Istanbul is dreadful and it can take a long time to get to the airport. I requested an earlier pick up and the company obliged, but the driver was late. Although it all went OK, it was a bit anxiety provoking. Also, not sure what I had expected but all components of the tour were with separate people e.g guides, drivers etc. Overall, I had a wonderful time and would reccomend
