Hotels in beddeck was substandard Hotels in Halifax and Charlottetown
- by Sheila EwartI enjoyed this well-organized tour with key highlights along Newfoundland's Eastern coast and Gros Morne National Park in the West. In early June, we experienced persistent sea fog along the coast. When the sun peaked through one afternoon it was glorious! Highlights for me were seeing puffins in Elliston and experiencing the ecosystem and views of the Skerwink Trail, a challenging hike near Trinity. Sadly, we did not see any icebergs. They were well north of Twillingate. I recommend planning to arrive a day or two before the tour begins, if you're traveling at this time of year due to the dense fog which can delay flights into St. John's.

The cities we saw were great. I would have enjoyed more time in Montreal and less time in Toronto. I did not like our accommodations in the Sepia Hotel in Quebec City. The room was nice but smelled musty or smoky and the floor was sticky. The shower floor was incredibly slippery and there were no hand rails for safety. Our guide,Marilyn, was great.
- by Lori DzumagaThe tour guide gave conflicting information to different people which caused us to have to take an Uber from our hotel to the restaurant for dinner and then the bus (that was at the hotel) proceeded to take others from the hotel to the restaurant.

Our guide was fabulous. I learned a lot from her. The bus we had was very noisy, it shimmied, and was difficult to control the temperature throughout the bus. I would have preferred to have paid more money for the lobster supper and had a more refined dining experience. It was too rushed so all our courses were just piling up on our small table. The chowder tasted like flour and water. Another meal (can’t remember at what stop) our lobster and crab rolls were just on cold hamburger buns. I enjoy a dining experience, but unfortunately that was non-existent.

Interesting tour, hitting all the high points on the east coast if Canada. Will come back again to spend more time in the cities as the tour touches on everything but not enough time which is expected. Very comfortable hotels and transport. The train to Halifax was great, excellent service and well worth doing, would recommend adding this on to all the trips.
- by Pamela IllingworthFantastic tour with a fantastic tour guide with a large wealth of knowledge about eastern / French Canada and its history! Canada is a huge country so there are a few days were you spend it mostly on the bus with some stops every few hours, but DO NOT let that discourage you from taking this tour. The beautiful countryside you can see out the bus windows is amazing and the long distance drives are more than worth it for the things you will see!

Optional excursions were reasonably priced. Suggest you put together other places in each city as a walking guide or short taxi or uber ride. Example access to close by museums open late and could walk to from hotel. Free time activities and what they are and where located is helpful.tour guide can offer to accompany a group interested to explore more during free leisure tome.Provide more detail info about the logistics of site visits. Niagara falls..suggest more water proof gear clothing and shoe types etc. Terrain to expect when visiting certain sites and possible alternatives.climbing and how difficult-easy or more strenuous or advanced climbing activity. Overall, small groups so much better than filling up bus. Thank you for giving single travelers their own bus space. Would love to watch more travel videos on longer driving distances.
- by Joyce PragerNeeded more time in Ottawa The 1000 island tour must include millionaire row and Boldt castle Didn’t explain the old city in C Montreal. Thought what we saw from bus tour in morning was what the old city was like so missed that part that we briefly saw when bc we went for farewell dinner

Only shortcoming was that there was no cream or Coffee Mate for the coffee — only milk. Next time, I will pack a container of Coffee Mate. I am hoping to experience one of their winter programs.

It was a great experience and the add on’s that Contiki offered were amazing adventures. The price of the tour was also great and completely worth it for what they gave you.
- by Arantxa JimenezVery enjoyable and great customer service. You really can individualize your itinerary with the various add-ons. Also enjoyed some quiet time to myself when the larger group would do additional excursions. Would love to go again, but will be over the Contiki age limit. :)

Local guides were generally well chosen - Jim the tuna fisherman and the lobster boat presentation were exceptionally good. The Rossignol winery was a waste of time. Alan the Acadian needs an editor. The Cabot Trail experience was not great - too much driving for too few iconic views. Hopewell Rocks on the Bay of Fundy was much better, by way of contrast, but could have spent an extra hour there. Also at the AG Bell museum in Baddeck. Overall we enjoyed it but found the pace generally too rushed.
- by Philip RobertshawThis was our 7th trip with Insight and this was a nice paced tour of the Maritimes. The tour director was excellent as well as the coach driver. As long as my wife and I can keep traveling we'll be going with Insight.

Tourradar did a wonderful job in all aspects of trip. Linda, the tour operator. Dave, the bus driver were excellent. The hotels were very clean, nicely appointed and the provided meals were very good.
- by Katrina KniezewskiGreat tour and wonderful guide and driver but missed our ferry ride back to Halifax and that is the part of the tour we were so looking forward too??

I am a very picky person when it comes to traveling. Wanted to do this tour for two years. It is the perfect trip for all the must see things in Nova Scotia that you all have heard about. Each hotel was above the norm. The restaurant choices were great also. Our group consisted of 24 including driver and guide. Small bus, very comfortable. I would not hesitate to book with Tours of Distinction again..
- by Virginia S.We had a wonderful trip with your company! Our tour guide, Kim, was both professional and attentive to all our needs. She made our trip fun! Our driver, Bob, had a fun personality and also gave us a very safe drive. He was "da man" as we all said! Our guide in Nova Scotia filled us with the history of the area. Very interesting! Our guide on Prince Edward's Island was good too. We also made some good friends!

The cities we visited were beautiful, I just wish that the time on the bus was less. Change the dinner place in Ottawa, not up to your standards! We did not enjoy the canal cruise, it was too long, boring, and would have preferred that time to see sights. Ben was excellent! His historic knowledge, stories, and sense of humor made traveling most enjoyable. Our bus driver was such a gentleman and so accommodating. His driving was superb, I never felt unsafe. Most enjoyable was Niagara Falls and Quebec. Wish we had more time in Quebec less time in Montreal.
- by Sori DeVoreWhat a spectacular part of Canada the eastern side is and what a way it was to experience it by travelling with Luxury Gold. From Max our knowledgeable and ever attentive Travelling Concierge to the luxury coach that we travelled on to the Fairmont included properties and the meals were fantastic too. I found this Luxury Gold trip to be the right balance between included experiences and time at leisure to add a few things that really interested me (including some shopping). Trip highlights included the picturesque Fairmont Château Frontenac where we stayed in Quebec and enjoyed a tour with a Local Expert of the incredible property located right on the Saint Lawrence River. From Toronto it was magical to go to Niagara Falls and see icebergs in the lake and we even had snow flakes fall. Looking forward to my next trip with Luxury Gold as I enjoyed this trip.

All was good and only wish Cabot Trail would have lasted two days not only one. Would have also liked a farewell party like my friend had with her tour which was almost identical to ours
- by Andria LandrieHi team I travelled from Australia to see cape Breton highlands. On the single day of our visit to the highlands our coach had technical brake failure. We were forced to wait for a replacement coach for 3 and half hours. This pretty much wiped out the afternoon session of our day trip to the highlands. Additionally I was not advised that Atlantic tour would be taking us. There was no one at the hotel to meet on arrival and as per our iitenerary.
