    • An extremely well organised tour. Our guide Monica was an amazing guide. Monica went out of her way to make the trip safe, enjoyable and comfortable. Our chef Vidal made an amazing variety and quality of meals each day. Our chief porter Juan did a great job organising the porters. Katy in the office was good to deal with in the lead up to the hike. I highly recommend the 4 day Inka trail hike. We had 14 porters carrying 20kg each for the 6 paid customers and the attention to detail was awesome. The Inka ruins we saw along the way and MachuPicchu was a once in a lifetime opportunity.

    • Big shout out to Trexperience, I don’t know if they ever had a customer as confused as me, I must have changed my mind 20+ times during the booking process over which tour I wanted, what dates would work and what equipment I needed as well as with my travel arrangements even after the trek was completed. They remained patient and kind throughout and accommodated all my needs. The trek was exactly what I was looking for. Tour guide Manolo is so deep and passionate he truly brought the mountains alive for me as well as steering us clear of the crowds and ensuring we had the best experience possible. Tour guide Meliton was an angel, taking beautiful care of the whole group throughout, what a treat to be woken in the morning with a coffee poured by Meliton. Head porter Toro always had the warmest smile for us, the whole porter operation was clearly on point. And our chef Celso and sous chef Juanita -I don’t know how they were able to produce such luxurious feasts everyday that were clearly cooked with love, just amazing. Overall, it was simply a privilege to be looked after so well on this once-in-a-lifetime experience, thank you so much Trexperience!

    • This team thought of everything and anything to make you as comfortable as possible and they made sure you were well taken care of and well fed. Several of us had some GI issues, and our tour guides made sure to get us back in tip top shape to enjoy our hike. I would recommend this hike to anyone who is in shape and looking for an awesome way to experience Inca history and the sights of the mountains and Machu Picchu.

    • The trip with Inkayani tours was fantastic! Before our trip any questions or issues we had were addressed very quickly. It was very easy to make changes and they were extremely accommodating. When we arrived we were met with a guide, who was present for the entire journey. During our hike the entire staff was friendly and helpful. Special thank you to our guide Yiyo who helped us recover my wife's phone when she forgot it on the bus. He also was very knowledgeable and we taught us much about the history and culture of Custo, Machu Picchu and Inca civilization. Every detail was taken care of all along the journey. For anyone able to do the hike, I would highly recommend this tour over just taking the bus as there is so many more ruins and sites to see.

    • We had an amazing 4 day trek with the company. Herlin is very knowledgeable as a guide and always brings positive attitude and encouragement to the group while chef Sabino did the very best to bring the haute cuisine experience in the wilderness and catered to all dietsry needs. The company is local and looks after their staff well - definitely our top choice for another Peru trip!

    • Excellent - 6,090 reviews for Inca Trail tours
    • Amazing tour! You definitely keep busy so if you're looking for a laid back pace this probably isn't the tour for you. But if you want to see a lot of cultural sites and experience true Peru (down to eating Alpaca and Guinea Pig - not to mention traditional drinks) this is a great choice. Our guide was funny and friendly and usually very knowledgeable about where we were going and what we were doing. You're very active but the hotel accomodations were comfortable. Beds and showers in every room and most places put out a very nice breakfast even when your group was leaving before normal breakfast hours.

    • I went on the Inca Panorama trip with the Machu Picchu Trek. The tour itself went really well. It was nonstop, but our guide did an amazing job of keeping everyone together and making sure everyone was having the best trip possible. However, the administrative side of this company is terrible. I booked a little late, too late for them to have time to send me information by mail. I tried to access trip notes on their website and was unable to. I sent an email to the travel agent, who I had been required to call in order to book in the first place. She told me that the website was not her problem and sent me the email address for the webmaster (who never answered me). I emailed the travel agent again and she said she had no access to anything having to do with our profiles online. Again I emailed stating exactly the information I was looking for (options for getting to my hotel when I arrived at midnight) and asking why that information was available for trips with other companies before they were even booked, but Contiki acted like it was a trade secret. Again I was told that website information was not her problem, but she would try emailing the webmaster herself. Two days later she emailed the info packet (the final confirmation for the optional trek had come through), this included an attachment called "trip information," which was the trip notes, and included the information I had been requesting. My roommate and several other members of my group each had their own complaints about the admin side of this company. Everyone in country was great and the tour ran very smoothly, I'm pretty irritated that I walked into the situation with more anxiety and apprehension than I needed to.

    • Machu Picchu Hike on the Inca Trail! With the help of our fantastic tour guide, Jonatan, we completed the four-day hike along the historic Inca Trail. He always looked out for us and was very informative and helpful. There were three dishes served each day, and the cuisine was fantastic and really varied. I am so proud of the chef and porter staff for their outstanding work during this trek. This journey was expertly planned by Vidal Expeditions, from pick-up to drop-off. Strongly advised!

    • What a great experience hiking to Machu Picchu through the Inca Trail, the crew was was awesome always helpful. Chino the guide was excellent his knowledge about the history, culture and the area made a lifetime experience. We were only 5 people in the group perfect size to enjoy the stunning views on the route. Vidal Expeditions manage well the entire organization of the trip, they always been attentive to all the details. The only things that they have to manage is about the restrooms on the campsite, not clean enough.

    • Overall, I'm very pleased with the package. There was only one snafu when I arrived in Peru and my driver was not there. However, they got me a taxi so it turned out fine. The hotel (San Pedro Monestario) was modest, rustic, and charming. Definitely no frills but it was fine by me. The communication with TR was very good. I was able to get responses in a timely manor. The guide that was assigned as my contact ( I wish I could remember her name!!!!! She was from South Africa) she was amazing!!!! She helped me off-hours, and really made me feel like I had someone to reach out to at all times. Please tell her thank you from me! There was an mudslide on one of my day tours, and I was given a refund for this being cancelled and that was swift and appreciated. Thank you Tour Radar.

    • We were two 60-somethings booking together and met with the guide in advance in Cuzco to make sure he would be ok with our pace. He said everyone should always trek at their own pace and you would be surprised that a lot of young kids underestimate the altitude and actually feel worse. Sort of a turtle beats the hare type of thing. We were able to do it slowly but surely and thanked our guide Junior for always looking out for us. There are also some very narrow parts of the trail that seemed dangerous to us, so be sure to pay attention and be careful.

    • PRE TOUR: I got to Cusco a couple days before the tour started because I wanted to visit more places. I had let CrossOver Peru know and they came to pick me up at the airport, helped me check in. On that day, I mentioned that I wanted to visit Maras and Moray (not included in the package) and they have arranged me a tour the next day at around 50 Soles! Day 1: Queshuachaca Bridge & Caranahui Cave Kevin picked me up from my hotel around 4:30AM and we hit the road. After two hour of driving, we stopped by at a small town for a local breakfast (not included) with egg toast and quinoa drink and it was super yummy. After the meal, we drove one more hour to the bridge. Kevin explained that the bridge was last inca bridge and gave me nice background story and explanation of significance of the bridge. Then, we drove 10-20 more minutes to go to a cave. Kevin did a small and yet beautiful ceremony thanking the Mother Earth (pachamama) for allowing us to visit the cave. The cave was 240+ millions old and it was just so serene. Afterwards, we stopped by a restaurant for lunch (included) for Pollo Saltada! They are great spots away from the regular/popular touristy place. Day 2: Rainbow Mountain Kevin also came to pick me up this day. We had an earlier start at 3:30AM. In this tour, breakfast and lunch were included. When we got to rainbow mountain, it was cold, covered by thick fog, and I was actually very sad as Rainbow Mountain was one of the biggest reasons why I wanted to come to Cusco. I rented a horse to go up and Kevin is an amazing hiker as he kept up with the speed of horse all the way to the top. The fog was still so thick. As I was getting more and more disappointed, Kevin told me not to worry and be positive. Kevin kindly waited with me for one hour for fog to clear and it didn't. Then, he said we should do a small offering to the mountain with Coca leaves. We did and waited for another 20 minutes and nothing happened. So we decided to make our descend and we see a ray of sunshine approaching our way. It was a breathtaking sight! I cautiously asked Kevin if we can go back up and without a hesitation, Kevin said "We can!" The mountain was so beautiful and I was so thankful and grateful for Kevin. It was a truly unforgettable day. THANK YOU KEVIN!!! My heart still gets filled with appreciation when I think about this day! Day 3: Sacred Valley, Colonial and Archeological Pisaq & Ollantaytambo This day, Ruben was our guide. The start of the day was at 7AM. No meal was included this day. We stopped by Sacred Valley’s beautiful view and proceeded to Pisaq sites and Ollantaytambo. Ruben gave us about 30 mins of Pisaq market. MAKE SURE you don’t get lost there. The market is huge and I almost got lost. Ruben gave us a thorough history overview of these sights. The knowledge that he had was very impressive. After the tour, I got dropped off at the train station to go to Aguas Callientes. Day 4: Machu Picchu At 6:30am, I got picked up by the guide, Victor, from my hotel to the bus station. No meal is included on this day. After 25 mins of the bus ride, we got to the gate. Victor was an amazing “story teller.” Calm and composed, with good sense of humor and full of knowledge. I felt so lucky to be there and learning about Machu Picchu. Machu Picchu, as one of the most famous spots in the world, was just mind blowing. I was slightly afraid that I will get disappointed. But it was BEYOND what I have pictured in my head for all these years. Day 5: Departure It was time to say goodbye to the beautiful Cusco. I have learned so much past few days. The love and respect that Cusco people have for Pachamama was so touching. I was so sad to leave and I have to thank CrossOver Peru for providing me with these amazing experiences!

    • this tour was excellent and we could not fault any part of the tour. The tour guide, his assistant where terrific (along with all the support staff as well). They were all so responsive and attentive to all the groups needs both during, pre and post tour, working tirelessly to ensure we all got the best experience possible from the tour. We would unreservedly recommend this tour for anyone wishing to participate. Participants however do need to realise that the tour requires a minimum level of fitness so as not to be a burden to the others in their group as the trek is quite physical. Fortunately this was not a problem with our group.
