It was an amazing trip. Alpaca Expeditions took care of everything. The guides, chef, and porters were exceptional. I highly recommend this experience.
- by Christopher William EverillThis team thought of everything and anything to make you as comfortable as possible and they made sure you were well taken care of and well fed. Several of us had some GI issues, and our tour guides made sure to get us back in tip top shape to enjoy our hike. I would recommend this hike to anyone who is in shape and looking for an awesome way to experience Inca history and the sights of the mountains and Machu Picchu.

Well organized and highly recommended!

I’ve never been on a more organised trekking tour. Great guides and amazing support crew. Food was also fantastic! Would highly recommend!
- by Emmanuel CusackHad a great experience with Renee and Walter as our guides. Porter Group 16 are superheroes. We wouldn't have survived without them. The Inca Trail was challenging but very rewarding. Definitely recommend.

Incredible trek! So well organised with a real mix of climates and terrain over the 4 days. Our guides Reynaldo and Elias were super knowledgeable about all the Inca sites and the food from Rolando and his team was next level, especially considering they were cooking in the mountains! TreXperience are a Peruvian company and they clearly love the country, fully recommend using them!
- by TomIt was awesome, well run and I'd recommend it to anyone who's thought about doing the Inca trail

Amazing experience with great food, comfortable lodging, fantastic guides, and full service from the airport and along every step of the way!
- by Zoe WangOur tour guide had trouble communicating with the English speaking hikers. We were unable to understand his direction and information missed because of the language barrier. As he was explaining the history of the inca sites he unable to communicate in English leaving out information needed to understand the history.

I think the 3 day camping/4 day hike at high altitude is very challenging. You are moving at a fast pace with your oxygen saturation in the 80s ( all except 1 individual in our group) in unpredictable weather. The hike may be more enjoyable if the pace is changed (another day is added to the itinerary). Besides that -it was well organized, team leaders worked well, porters and cooks were fantastic. I am writing this detailed review so that people who want to sign up will know what the challenges are.

Amazing trekking experience in Peru! I would definitely recommend this trek and this company to anyone planning to hike to Machu Picchu.
- by DaveMy 4 day Inca Trail trek with Action Peru Treks was one of the best treks I've ever done in my life. This was absolutely the highlight of my travel to South America.

Overall, I'm very pleased with the package. There was only one snafu when I arrived in Peru and my driver was not there. However, they got me a taxi so it turned out fine. The hotel (San Pedro Monestario) was modest, rustic, and charming. Definitely no frills but it was fine by me. The communication with TR was very good. I was able to get responses in a timely manor. The guide that was assigned as my contact ( I wish I could remember her name!!!!! She was from South Africa) she was amazing!!!! She helped me off-hours, and really made me feel like I had someone to reach out to at all times. Please tell her thank you from me! There was an mudslide on one of my day tours, and I was given a refund for this being cancelled and that was swift and appreciated. Thank you Tour Radar.
- by Kristen HiltWe were two 60-somethings booking together and met with the guide in advance in Cuzco to make sure he would be ok with our pace. He said everyone should always trek at their own pace and you would be surprised that a lot of young kids underestimate the altitude and actually feel worse. Sort of a turtle beats the hare type of thing. We were able to do it slowly but surely and thanked our guide Junior for always looking out for us. There are also some very narrow parts of the trail that seemed dangerous to us, so be sure to pay attention and be careful.

I recently booked an Inca Trail Trek through you. Your partners, Explorandes, did an outstanding job and provided us with a really great time. Everything from Silvio being the mater scheduler and rescheduled to Paco’s expert guide skills was top notch. Please continue using them, they really provided a super service. Erik N
- by Erik NilsenThis is the absolute best choice if you´re thinking about doing the Inca Trail! In the first three days, we didn´t see any other hikers on the trail, only some local people working on their fields. The food was delicious and for sure we didn´t get hungry at any point. We had our own toilette tents close to our tents which was great, especially at night. Also, the warm water for washing in the morning and the afternoon was great and after day 1 we even had a hot shower on our campsite. The last trekking day we left the camp later than the other groups which allowed us to have the trail mostly to ourselves as well when we walked through the sun gate Inti Punku to finally see Machu Picchu for the first time. This is definitely an experience we´ll never forget. Totally worth the money!

Amazing tour! You definitely keep busy so if you're looking for a laid back pace this probably isn't the tour for you. But if you want to see a lot of cultural sites and experience true Peru (down to eating Alpaca and Guinea Pig - not to mention traditional drinks) this is a great choice. Our guide was funny and friendly and usually very knowledgeable about where we were going and what we were doing. You're very active but the hotel accomodations were comfortable. Beds and showers in every room and most places put out a very nice breakfast even when your group was leaving before normal breakfast hours.
- by Elizabeth GoellnerI went on the Inca Panorama trip with the Machu Picchu Trek. The tour itself went really well. It was nonstop, but our guide did an amazing job of keeping everyone together and making sure everyone was having the best trip possible. However, the administrative side of this company is terrible. I booked a little late, too late for them to have time to send me information by mail. I tried to access trip notes on their website and was unable to. I sent an email to the travel agent, who I had been required to call in order to book in the first place. She told me that the website was not her problem and sent me the email address for the webmaster (who never answered me). I emailed the travel agent again and she said she had no access to anything having to do with our profiles online. Again I emailed stating exactly the information I was looking for (options for getting to my hotel when I arrived at midnight) and asking why that information was available for trips with other companies before they were even booked, but Contiki acted like it was a trade secret. Again I was told that website information was not her problem, but she would try emailing the webmaster herself. Two days later she emailed the info packet (the final confirmation for the optional trek had come through), this included an attachment called "trip information," which was the trip notes, and included the information I had been requesting. My roommate and several other members of my group each had their own complaints about the admin side of this company. Everyone in country was great and the tour ran very smoothly, I'm pretty irritated that I walked into the situation with more anxiety and apprehension than I needed to.

We are a family of 3 including a 12-year old boy who wanted to hike portions of the Inca trail but not for four days. This itinerary allows us to acclimate to the high altitude in and around Cusco, introduced us to various ruins and villages around Sacred Valley, and prepared us with daily walks for the final one day Inca trail to Machu Picchu. Our guide Henri has many years of experience, speaks good english with a good sense of humor, and is always energetic and enthusiastic. Overall the tour was fantastic. If there is anything less than ideal, lodging in Ollyantytambo is quite rustic. Given the cost of tour it's somewhat disappointing. Elsewhere Casa Andina chain hotels are very comfortable.
- by Jie GeI was very happy with all aspects of the trip. Leo our guide couldn't do enough for us, even getting us out of Cuzco in a hurry to beat a two-day general strike!

I paid for the Tour in advance. I heard nothing from Haku Travel for a few days, so I contacted them to check the tour was available. They then let me know it was not. I cancelled the tour in the TourRadar App. I have been trying for a week to get my refund. I keep getting the same message back from Haku Travel, which is to request a refund in the App. There is no option to do this in the App. I am extremely frustrated as I am owed a lot of money, and Haku Travel are not being helpful.
- by Alison BrownWe had the possibility to do the track almost alone.. and we honestly had the best experience ever !! I highly recommend them. Thank you again I will keep this moment with me forever.

Machu Picchu Hike on the Inca Trail! With the help of our fantastic tour guide, Jonatan, we completed the four-day hike along the historic Inca Trail. He always looked out for us and was very informative and helpful. There were three dishes served each day, and the cuisine was fantastic and really varied. I am so proud of the chef and porter staff for their outstanding work during this trek. This journey was expertly planned by Vidal Expeditions, from pick-up to drop-off. Strongly advised!
- by ClarkTimWhat a great experience hiking to Machu Picchu through the Inca Trail, the crew was was awesome always helpful. Chino the guide was excellent his knowledge about the history, culture and the area made a lifetime experience. We were only 5 people in the group perfect size to enjoy the stunning views on the route. Vidal Expeditions manage well the entire organization of the trip, they always been attentive to all the details. The only things that they have to manage is about the restrooms on the campsite, not clean enough.
