My Tour to the Kilimanjaro with Almighty Kilimanjaro was very good. Everything was well organized and if equipment was missing, no problem, everything was there the next day. A unique and unforgettable experience with my Guide John and the entire Crew! Asante!

2 gals successful summit to the top of Kilimanjaro in 6 days had planned 7 round trip ! This wouldn’t have been possible without the excellent advices and support of almighty Kilimanjaro team Frankie and swalehe! Our crew were absolutely brilliant we felt so well looked after they couldn’t have done enough for us. Musa gave us our morning wake up and every morning he came with a smile and with that we always knew it was going to be a great day no matter what the challenge was! A great experience all round! Summit night we had an extra team member omali walk with us and he was just the best addition to get us through the final push but a massive thanks to you all ! It was a team effort! I could write all day about this experience but it’s best to just see for yourselves how amazing they are !

Excellent guide, awesome tour, best in class organization and service

I got Covid from someone in the group. For a high altitude hike like this, we should have been tested for Covid. It not like I could avoid it, we ate together in an enclosed tent.

Our group of five from Germany recently completed the Machame Route over 6 days with Migration Venture Africa, and it was an incredible journey from start to finish. This is the best long distance trek experience I have ever had. Every aspect of the tour was so well organised, from the moment we started our trek to the day we summited and the day we came down. We were given the best attention by the guides and porters. The chef did an excellent job making sure we were well fed. Considering how tough the living conditions were, we were afforded so much luxuries which were only made possible due to the effort from the team. For those who are considering going up Kilimanjaro, cannot recommend enough this group enough!

Amazing touring experience, could not recommend more highly. Food was of restaurant quality - much better than you would expect on a mountain! The team gave us all the assistance we could ask for, and we managed to summit one day earlier than expected with their support. This was an incredibly challenging and rewarding trip. The Intrepid guides were so knowledgeable, friendly and professional. We had a fantastic group with great dynamics, the food was good, the equipment was well looked after, our porters were such hard workers and our guides knew everything there was to know about the mountain and how to best deal with the altitude and looked after us all really well. My brother and I booked the 7 days Machame trek with Zara Tours. The itinerary was well planned allowing us enough time to acclimatize which eventually contributed to our successful summit. The pace was slow and allowed us to enjoy the views from above the clouds from the third day. The weather was good and we had an unforgettable time with our guides Bakari and Shem. They were experienced, kind and patient with us. They shared interesting stories about Kilimanjaro and also taught us about the plants and climbing safety. They made sure we ate right during the meal times and the snacks we had at the various stops. If you are considering trekking up Kilimanjaro, make sure you contact a reliable operator with experienced guides and the right equipment because the quality of support you get determines the outcome.

Climbing Kilimanjaro with Zara Tours was an amazing experience. This was especially nice because I shared the experience with my husband and we got the chance to feel raw nature, clean mountain air, awesome panoramic views, outdoor camping and the company of some amazing people - our crew. We totally loved our Kilimanjaro experience in Tanzania. We are novice climbers in excellent shape and I think we had underestimated our capabilities because we had a relatively easy time on the trail and did not suffer from altitude sickness. I think that having a great crew supporting the trek also played a huge role towards our successful summit. The crew of 9 did an amazing job in supporting our trek. They helped with the luggage, food, health checks and overall strategy and it all went well. A big shout out to Senior guide Mmari who led the climb. You and your people are amazing!

Tanzania Wildlife Experience created a fantastic trekking experience on Kilimanjaro. The whole booking process with Zayina was smooth and straightforward. The actual trek was amazing from the excellent support service by our crew led by senior guide Bakari. His knowledge of the mountain from the years of guiding made him invaluable as he knew what to do at all time. The crew were friendly and treated us well, as they accommodated our varying capabilities in the regiment and made sure that we stayed safe throughout the tough climb. We had an amazing holiday with Afrishare - a combination of a 7 day Kilimajaro hike for myself and my 16 year old son, and then a 4 day safari in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater for the whole family after my wife and other son had flown out to join us. In all of it Afrishare organised everything perfectly, from the fundamentals of the hike and the safari through to all the interconnecting transfers. We made the decision to go with a local Tanzanian company rather than some big international tour operator, and do not regret that decision at all. Right from day one, Ibrahim and team were very responsive (do they ever sleep?!) answering my endless questions and tweaking the itinerary so it was exactly as we wanted. They then delivered. The Kili hike was the 7 day Machame route. The team taking us up were great, had all the required kit, and looked after us well. It was hard going but we made it to the summit and have amazing memories and sense of achievement. The safari in the Serengeti was amazing - we saw the big 5, including 46 lions in 2-3 days, and a cheetah and cubs a few metres away. Through it all our guide Kazi, was fantastic - really knowledgeable about the animals and conservation more widely, also good fun (which is important when you have 4 full days together!). I would definitely recommend Afrishare.

Machame route is the best route for me 100% specialized in Tanzania this local agency did a wonderful job for me and my wife. We planned to climb Kilimanjaro for almost 5 years and we have been in touch with Afrishare Trekking and Safaris for almost 2 years before our adventure begins. The communication and activity arrangements is super. What else to say! We had a wonderful 6 day climb and everything was perfect. Thanks to our guide and the whole crew for making this epic adventure easy for us.

I climbed Kili with my son in this year. We reached the summit and a big part of that was due to the guiding company we chose. Yonathan and his team are amazing. They met us at our hotel, went through the whole journey with us, checked our gear and introduced us to our guide Aricko. So we left Moshi confident we were prepared. Then on the mountain Aricko was a standout amongst all the other guides from other companies. Health checks twice a day, constantly keeping a real close eye on how we were doing, finding the small problems and fixing them before they become BIG problems. No surprise we were one of only a few groups to reach the summit the night we went to the peak. These guys and their teams are professional, friendly and helpful in so many ways. Thanks Yonathan and Aricko for making our climb a fantastic celebration of my 50th birthday.

I went on the 7 day Machame Route ascent of Kilimanjaro with Great Lake Expedition with summit ascent on Christmas morning. Great Lake Expedition was the absolute number one. Their equipment (tents and sleeping mats) is top notch.!The camp manager always selected great locations for overnight. The cook made delicious, varied and abundant meals, and our waiter, Shabani, always made sure we ate enough with second servings - they kept us fueled and in shape for the long and difficult trek. The assistant guides Muntari and the chief guide (Yonathan) were always diligent with the twice daily health checks, always set a great pace and offered positive encouragement. Needless to say they were extremely knowledgeable about the mountain, ecosystem and everything Kilimanjaro. Everybody in our group made the summit. We all observed how other outfitters ran their camps and treated their clients and I enthusiastically recommended Great Lake Expedition as the best I have seen on the mountain. And their extraordinary service extended before and after the trek..

I was sure that my adventure was in good hands. He knew how to help me choose clothes, medicines and food with incredible knowledge, organization and kindness. I could see how wonderful he was not only with me but also with the team of 6 potters and the "food engineer". I spent 6 days getting lots of delicious food and lots of encouragement from everyone. Incredible Experience ! Tremendous and Incredible experience! Our guide was a gem & knowledgeable about both safaris as well as Kilimanjaro. We saw incredible animals (Unfortunately we missed Rhino out of the Big 5), landscape, and local people (also learned about different tribes in the Kilimanjaro region). We even learned somewhat Swahili! Our guide shared his knowledge about animals and their behaviour, plant life, the landscape, and history. We loved the lunches and surprise breakfast in the bush! We fell in love with it all. Our initial and constant contact throughout the booking and preparation process was with Lucas. He was quick to reply and was very helpful in finding out our desires and made sure the trip we would experience would be successful. In fact, the trip he put together for us far exceeded my expectations. I booked the safari (4 days) as well as Kilimanjaro for 6 days via the Machame route. As you know, It is scary booking a trip of a lifetime and making a deposit in advance to be able to get lodging booked. You send the money hoping this is really a legit company that will take care of you. Let me assure you about Lucas and Serengeti African Tours, this company is top-notch and will honour their word!
