We summited Kilimanjaro via the Marangu Route with Spider Tours And Safaris. 6 days on the mountain. There were 6 of us in the group with an age range from 14 to 66. Our guides Emanuel Peter and Marco were great - attentive, knowledgeable, encouraging. The chef did an excellent job keeping us fueled. The whole team, guides to porters, were very supportive and made it possible for all of us to reach the top, and we all did.
- by HannahThe Spider Tours team were awesome. Highly recommend. Great food, great service and great people in general. They go us up the mountain and were very lovely and patient.

The tour was perfectly organized. The contact with Joyce in the run-up to the trip was regular and she responded quickly to our questions. We were picked up from the airport and the itinerary for the next few days was explained to us in detail at the hotel. Our guides Kashi and Zunga were very attentive and told us a lot about the nature on Kilimanjaro and the history and culture of the country. The food was excellent and varied. Steven was also always concerned for our well-being and to fulfill our little extra wishes. Overall, everyone was very friendly.
- by Karin TauberThe right balance of challenge and comfort on the Marangu route. The trail was not busy and overall quite clean. The huts are great and helped keep equipment dry. The guide was Dustin and he was very attentive to my needs, health and overall experience. With his support I made it to the peak! The Springlands hotel staff are very helpful. Amadeus in reception was always ready to help, Jack is an exceptional waiter at the restaurant and Linda was a great coordinator. Also Jane helped me navigate some communication between the hotel and the tour operator. Although there were a few communication problems, World Adventure Tours acknowledged the problem and found a solution in a very fair and reasonable way. I was satisfied with how they dealt with the situation and give them my highest recommendation based on their response. Big thanks to Joyce Gitumbi who went out of her way to ensure I was satisfied with the experience in Tanzania.

I and my dad had a great time trekking Mount Kilimanjaro with Steppe Dogs Adventures. The crew was professional. Everything were well organized from office staff to the mountain crew. We really enjoyed our trekking and when it became tough for us our guides were there to assist. We strongly recommend this company to anyone planning to go Tanzania. asante sana :)
- by SamanthaGutierrezI and my other three friends did the Marangu 5 day trek. Frank met us and helped to ensure we had the correct equipment prior to beginning (tip-bring rain pants!). We were able to chat with our guide Noel as well and he gave us an overview of the five days. We each had three porters with a cook and two guides so our party had fifty total. Noel and Emmanuel (guides) were absolutely amazing. They really cared that we made it to the summit and ensured we had everything we needed (to include Noel making sure we got the nice cabins every night)! The food was more than five stars (lots of carbs, rice, noodles and veggies)-Muddy was an amazing Cook. Summit morning was awesome (for me), my sister had a little trouble but Noel and Emmanuel took such good care of her to make sure she reached the top. Lastly, Frank was able to hook us up with a few hours at a hotel to let us shower prior to our flight (we forgot about that). Overall. Steppe Dogs adventures is definitely the way to go!!!

As a solo traveler, I summited Kilimanjaro on July 24, 2024, with a local registered company called Almighty Kilimanjaro, and I couldn't recommend them more. Coming alone to a foreign country (I'm from Spain) can be a little overwhelming, but I always felt very safe from the beginning. They took care of me like I was one of their own. Choosing a local company is not only cost-effective, often half the price of international companies, but it also means contributing more directly to the local economy (and their pockets). I contacted Almighty Kilimanjaro via their website and then through WhatsApp with the owner Rashid. Everything was clear from the start—we agreed on a price and schedule, and the trip was organized smoothly. Accommodation: The Salinero Kilimanjaro Hotel, where I stayed at the beginning and end of the trip, was a gated hotel with excellent security. The staff were very attentive and helpful, making for a great stay. The breakfast buffet was also quite good. The Hike: I took the Marangu route (5 days) and reached the summit thanks to the incredible guide, John Damian, and his team—Joseph, Enro, Julius, and the chef, Aalbad. Initially, I was concerned about the elevation since I had never hiked/climbed that high before, but the team was always there to answer my questions and calm my nerves. They checked my oxygen levels and pulse twice a day and ensured I followed all safety procedures. We had daily briefings about the next day's plans, including the route, weather conditions, clothing, and items to pack. (If you don’t own gear, they conduct a gear check at the beginning of the trip, allowing you to rent necessary items at an affordable price). Always follow your guide's advice; if they suggest using poles, do it—you'll need them later on. Attention to Detail: The team's attention to detail was incredible. They were always watching over me. The food was another highlight—Aalbad, the cook, prepared nutritious meals every day, rivaling those from a nice restaurant. Extra Activities: If you have extra time before or after the climb, visiting the Materuni Waterfalls and going on the coffee tour there is a must. Located in the last village before Kilimanjaro National Park, you'll learn about the Chaga people and how to make some of the best coffee you've ever tasted. Final Thoughts: During my time there, I was treated like family by John, the crew, and the driver, Abduly. I now feel like I have family in Tanzania. For aspiring climbers, get the best value for your money—go local, go with Almighty Kilimanjaro. Asante sana ndugu, tutaonana hivi karibuni (Thank you, brothers, hope i can see you soon).
- by Joan CarlesI hiked the 5-day Marangu Route and had an amazing time. Emanuel, my guide, made sure that I was going at a suitable pace and taking the necessary medications so that I would be able to successfully summit Mt. Kilimanjaro. Emanuel also took me on altitude acclimatization hikes to notable landmarks that are not directly on the Marangu Route, which is especially important for the 5-day Marnagu Route since there is less time to acclimate to the altitude. I noticed some other peers did not do these acclimatization hikes. The rest of the crew was also amazing, Unambwe, Manu, and Harubu were amazing porters and made sure everything made it on time. And, Martin cooked great meals. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to summit Mt. Kilimanjaro! In addition, this was my first time using Tour Radar, and for the most part, the whole operation from booking on Tour Radar to meeting the crew at Moshi was smooth.

Great tour ! Remarkable adventure ! Not too easy, not very hard, just perfect trail !
- by NicoWow, this was a dream come true. I have always wanted to visit Africa and climb Mt. Kilimanjaro. OneSeed made this happen! I can't thank you enough. From the advance communications with tips on how to train and what to expect, to the confidence and preparedness of our guides, this trip was amazing. There were 10 of us on the trek supported by a staff of 20 made up of porters, waiters, chefs, and guides. I must say that this was one of the hardest adventures to date but definitely worth it. The scenery amazing -especially trekking above the clouds during the day and under the Milky Way on summit night.

Had a fantastic trip. The Kilimanjaro trek was something I won?t forget. The team of guided and porters were really very good without exception. What a great you managed to put together here! Was expertly managed for a solo traveler, I never felt alone or at risk. They taught us all the songs and were advocated of GAdventures! My only complaint was that it didn?t appear that GAdventures weren?t as enthusiastic about their team as we were. Some of the equipment they had for climbing that mountain was insufficient and embarrassing. We passed another group who were all kitted out and matching. I would have felt better ethically and for safety seeing our team in branded/suitable attire-the beanies were good for identifying the team, but it?s not enough. I would hope gay G offer T-shirt?s/boots/coats and gloves to their teams for welfare, your company brand/reputation and to ensure your team are the best and have the means to do this. Lots of us left hiking gear for the guides/porters and they seemed very grateful though they ever complain about what they don?t have. They just looked far less kitted up than the tourists and some other groups. I really hope you can invest a little more into what is a very good and deficit ram-even if it?s pool uniform that they borrow and return post trek. Loved it overall and would recommend and use myself again. I do think the 5 day route was too short and would recommend this to anyone. An extra day to acclimatise would have kept us together as a group, not as sick and given a heights success rate. Iddy got me to the top that day and I will forever be grateful for him taking the extra 3 hrs with me when everyone else was on the way down.
- by Deborah Lacy-MayOverall an amazing experience however, it was too much to be squeezed into essentially 3 days before summiting. Everyone in the group had altitude sickness to some level and reduced oxygen saturations - not everyone made it to the summit.

Migration Venture Africa was great! Amos, the owner/manager was extremely quick to respond to questions. We did a waterfall hike, Kilimanjaro climb, and a 2-day safari with the company and everything was great. Our group did the 5-day mountain climb, which was not recommended by the company because it was very difficult. The hike was very difficult, and I recommend taking at least a few additional days. Guides were extremely friendly and helpful. The accommodations were simple but very nice and they have great food and drinks available on the premises. I would recommend using Migration Venture Africa for all of your Tanzania adventures!
- by Dominic FrancisGreat experience through and through. Everyone at migration Africa adventures were very helpful and fun to be around. If I ever come do the mountain again I will definitely be using them.

The 6 day Machame route was a huge success. The team at Afrishare was exceptional from start to finish. Ibrahim was very lovely to communicate with. Honestly, I loved every minute of it. My guide Adam was so fun. Considering I spent 7 days with him, it was a very enjoyable experience. My life felt very safe in their hands. Highly recommend! Celestine, Jomo, Adam, Siddiqi, Suleiman, Agostino, Steven, thank you very much for helping me get to the top!
- by MartinVery nice and competent guides and crew, the cabins were clean and the food excellent. However, one should factor in a few hundred dollars tip in addition to the booking cost, which is usually paid to the crew at the end of the tour.

The entire trip was absolutely amazing! Adam my guide was so great about keeping my updated on next steps throughout the day, the porters became like family to me and were so nice and thoughtful, and the chef made some amazing food during my hike! I HIGHLY recommend this tour company and would 100% come back again.
- by Nicole BonkKilimanjaro Wonders Expedition Safari provided a disappointing experience. The guides lacked professionalism and were unhelpful, making the journey stressful rather than enjoyable. Communication was poor, leading to confusion about the itinerary. The equipment provided was subpar, and the accommodations were uncomfortable. Overall, the service fell short of expectations, and I wouldn't recommend it.

We did the Marangu route with my friends and the guides were really knowledgeable, fun and they got us to the summit on Tuesday at 0655hrs. The hike was great, but the course was tough, it took the collective support of guides Elias and Martin, Steve the cook and the porters to ensure the comfort, care and advice on how to tackle the mountain. I am glad that these guys took our health very seriously, characterized by morning and evening health checks, I had mild altitude sickness and Elias made sure I recovered fully before proceeding. I am deeply indebted to the whole team for their support and dedication throughout the course. They are the best.
- by Jason GorngaOur group of five teachers chose Zara Tours because they came highly recommended by our friends. Upon doing a bit of online research we discovered that Zara Tours is one of the oldest and most reliable Kilimanjaro trekking operators in Tanzania. The trip was well planned with an expert crew. They were knowledgeable, friendly and caring. They put our safety first, above everything else. The cabins operated by the park were pretty decent. We got three hot meals with plenty of snacks in between from Kimario our chef, It was fun! Given another trip up Kilimanjaro I would still use Zara Tours

Kili economy safari! Edward, the owner/manager was extremely quick to respond to questions. We did a waterfall hike, Kilimanjaro climb, and a 2-day safari with the company and everything was great. - by FaithWe had booked a mixture of Kilimanjaro via Marangu and Safari. Unfortunately, our flight wasn't working too well and at midnight kili economy safari could be contacted and understood our situation. The tour to Kilimanjaro was well guided and the food was tasty and for the limited availabilities atop a mountain quite rich in variety. The safari was an experience in and for itself. We were collected in the Kili base hotel in Moshi and went for four hours via Arusha to the first national park. On our list were four parks: Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire - while all parks have their perks, the tour got a little long and we were tired of the safari just before the last day. In our case however, we would have missed big if we hadn't gone to the final park - Tarnagire. Our driver was spotting many animals very quickly and thus was a very good guide in finding harder to spot animals. The cars do at times speed at like 80 km/h through the parks - and given the street conitions it is only natural that once in a while the tires burst. Our driver was realizing that in a split second and stopped before we even realized what happened. Downside were the replacement tires which didn't really have much of a profile - or were the burst tires for some days... Tip for improvement: location of the Kili base hotel in Moshi is a bit far off for Mt. Meru and the safari and thus would be better located near Arusha.

Tanzania Wildlife Adventures made my dream of climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro a reality. Their knowledgeable guides and excellent service ensured a safe and unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!
- by LuthaOur Guide Papuu was sincerely the best tour guide I could have ever imagined. He exceeded our expectations. He taught us Swahili over a few days time, and some songs too. His knowledge of the animals and surrounding areas was truly amazing. He deserves special recognition, and we’d like to thank Tanzania Wildlife Adventures for the most incredible experience in Tanzania. Thank you so much Yusuph for Organizing us unforgettable experience.

Wow! The Safari was amazing! The guide was very friendly, attentive and good. Also the food was very delicious!!! The german of the guide is very good and easy to understand! In comparison to other safari companies the price-performance ratio is very good. We did the safari as a family with both kids over 18 so sitting all day lolg in the safari car wasn’t a problem. Also the tour operator and the guide checked on us often so we felt like we were in very good hands! Amazing expirience that we can really recommend.
