Amazing your. Super professional and well organized. Packs a lot into 7 days but it was perfect for people trying to pack a lot in and see a lot in a short amount of time. Tegan was the best!!! Tom and Robbie both were amazing tour guides. The big south was 10 out of 10 experience. Weather definitely will play a big role in your activities. The flexibility of the guides makes the trip free more like a family and friends on holiday. It was so an illuminating experience with everyone that came. 20 April - 3 May best weather!! First week we had 18 people and the next week, 7.

I had an amazing time on my 17 NZ adventure in August. Sean and Rhys were both amazing tour guides. They were both helpful, friendly and knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble for them to sort. The tour itself was incredible and it was jam packed with tonnes of activities. I can’t wait for my next tour with intro!

Although Rod, the driver was very nice I felt that Intrepid had not organised the tour as well as previous Intrepid tours I have done. It was very overpriced for what was provided. The van had a broken seat belt attachment with a sharp edge which ruined a down jacket I had bought for the trip. I have asked Intrepid about it but received no reply.

This tour is excellent for anyone wanting a quick trip to see all the major spots in the South Island. Heaps of amazing activities that you can do. Highly recommend going for walks at each spot to find all the hidden gems. :)

This tour is perfect for anyone looking to experience the South Island in a short amount of time. The accommodation was very central & clean, the included greenstone carving was a highlight and our Guide went above and beyond to ensure each guest made the most of it. We were able to make many stops between each destination to capture the beautiful scenery and our Guide recommend all the best local spots for iconic kiwi meals. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a budget friendly tour!

Get more money for activities you will not regret

The Guides for individual tours were knowledgeable and helpful, Our overall tour guide worked hard to make sure everyone had a good time. The hotels were all of a good standard

I thoroughly enjoyed my tour. The guide, Isobel, paid very good attention to details and the comfort of her tourists.I felt safe and secure in the bus as Mark's driving was very competent and Isobel was delightful, patient and full of fun, a real people person.She and Mark worked well together, meal times, departure times and other important information was provided well in advance. Good provision was made for frequent stops to allow for toilet breaks and the purchase of refreshments. I liked their attention to time keeping. For me, everything worked smoothly which made the tour relaxed and stress free. I would highly recommend Isobel and Mark.

New Zealand is a land with many places to see. It is a place rich in sites and in history, owing to the fact that two separate cultures have occupied the space. Fortunately our tour director and guide Chantavee was excellent at explaining both the history and providing context to the sites. I did not lower my reading due to the fact that the bus ride just sucked; it was a necessary part of the overall experience.

Good but the crew were not very friendly

New Zealand and my itinerary was perfect! I had to be efficient since I only had 10 days and wanted to see both islands of NZ. The Highlights Tour put together by Bucket List Tours was exactly what I was hoping for and it exceeded my expectations. Before leaving the US, Bucket List Tours connected with me and made sure we were able to communicate throughout my trip via WhatsApp. And that was super helpful since there were a number of times where I was able to clarify logistical items on the itinerary to ensure such things as being at the right pickup locations for scheduled day tours. Bucket Lisr Tours was always very responsive and helped me do everything I had on my list for New Zealand. I would highly recommend Bucket List Tours to anyone and am already planning on using them again in the future!

Everything was very well organized and according to the description on the site, all transfers, attractions and accomodation. Hotels were well chosen (with one exception), clean and comfortable, guided tours had very knowledgeable and professional guides, busses of good quality. i was well informed about each step through the app. My questions were answered almost immediately through whatsapp. The only improvement point i can see is the chosen accomodation in Franz Josef (Montrose hostel): the room was not clean (bedsheet not changed, with hair on pillows and quilt) and the receptionist attitude very unpolite; i found myself another last minute accomodation and paid extra for it. All in all, thank you for a great experience in a beautiful country.

When comparing tour companies it can get tricky. Do yourself a favor and book with Adventure Junkie if you are looking for a 10 day trip in the South Island. It may seem pricier than some of the other tours listed in Tour Radar, but this is actually a great value since the price includes not only all the activities, but it also includes transportation, accommodations at comfortable, central and clean locations, breakfast and lunch at the most amazing restaurants with NO set menu which allows everyone to order what they want, but most importantly the best tour guide in all of New Zealand, Russ. Russ works with you to put together an itinerary that works for you, and goes out of his way to take care of you the entire time. I would recommend Adventure Junkies to anyone and I am hopeful that I have the opportunity to cross paths with Russ again on a different Tour.

Our Adventure Junkies 10 day tour of the South Island was amazing despite some rare not so amazing weather conditions. Our guide, Russ, made sure the weather didn’t stop us from seeing the breath taking views of the South Island. He handled everything so my travel partner and I didn’t need to worry about a thing. All breakfasts and lunches were delicious, clean and could meet any dietary restrictions. All lodging accommodations were comfortable, central and clean. Transportation was always prompt, clean and safe, equipped with a great Spotify playlist. During the days there was never a dull moment, our itinerary was packed with premium and immersive activities including hikes on trails that weren’t crowded with amazing views. Russ is a phenomenal guide, his love of NZ shows in his passion for sharing sights, experiences and laughs. He really made this a trip of a lifetime. Although I was traveling with a friend, Adventure Junkies would be an amazing solo travel, couples and even family trip. I highly recommend an Adventure Junkies trip to anyone looking to explore New Zealand. I’m trying to get myself out there again in the future for another tour
