This is a good tour if you want to learn about different parts of southern American history. Some days you’re always going to be on the move and some days you’ll only spend half the day on a tour. It’s a good trip. Also if you want to check out different cities down south where you might want to visit again or perhaps move to one day.

Unfortunately, it was disappointing due to the Travel Director's lack of professionalism and organizational skills. He blamed not having his tour box because it was sent somewhere else. He didn't accompany us on most excursions unless it was food related and he did not narrate or provide any commentary on the trip. He lacked knowledge, was unhelpful and did not work with the group to provide information. During our "No Dinner" welcome, at best sparse appetizers we didn't even introduce ourselves to our fellow travelers and blamed the company about dinner, though his name was on the email that said we would have a Welcome Dinner. He always had excuses for things instead of helpful encouragement.
- by Betty BrockbankA very good tour the only comment I would make was although we enjoyed the piano recital at Natchez the explanation of the different types of notes was way above most peoples comprehension and was too long .

Had a great time with everyone on this tour. Dollywood was definately a highlight fir us. Great company throughout and loads of laughs. Don't hesitate to book a Travelling Time Tour...they will look after everything for you.
- by BobbyI've been on Travelling Time's Southern Style tour twice now (2015 and 2019) and loved every moment of both trips. It's obvious that an huge amount of thought has gone into the itinerary and it delivers from the very first minute to the very last. The amount of attraction visits, music, meals and sight seeing trips included in the price is incredible value for money and you won't miss a thing. Nothing is ever rushed but the plannning and professionalism of the TT team means that you get to spend exactly the right amount of time in all the right places, they even manage to find time to fulfill people's special requests whenever they can. I don't know how Lynda and her team do it but everyone on the tour is made to feel part of everything right from the start and I've made some great friends and we plan to meet up on many more TT trips. If you're looking for an American music tour that has everything this is the one for you, check it out and I promise you won't regret it.

Texas is such an amazingly friendly destination and there were some favourite destinations along the way including San Antonio, Fort Worth where there was a Brisbane (Australia) female competing at the rodeo, at Louisiana dancing with professional dancers and New Orleans and a parade through the streets with all those musicians and dancers.

We had such a great time. John is a fantastic guide- with the perfect amount of safety and knowledge. His cooking was great and his guiding was awesome. Highly recommend!
- by Jane VermeulenA wonderful trip. Three days of mountain hiking, 2 nights in amazing super deluxe mountain cabins, 2 dinners at their very upscale and inventive restaurant with two excellent, friendly, and knowledgeable guides. My only caveat was self induced. Mountain trail hiking is the real deal. And I was not physically prepared for it. Especially the first day which was the most difficult. To be fair day two and three were much easier. The mountains are beautiful, the town is great, and everyone had a friendliness that one doesn’t often find. Overall I confidently recommend this trip for anyone. Especially those who have a little mountain trail experience.

We had a great time in Canada and Greg proved to be a superb tour guide both from an organisational point of view and his knowledge of the destinations, we were visiting each day . He is very personable and approachable, and we would be very happy to have him on future tours

The route was informative and not too rush. We had an efficient tour director.
- by Julie ChewTourrradar put together an enjoyable and interesting itinerary. The schedule was manageable, the hotels were comfortable, and the stops were interesting. Our tour guide was organized, knowledgeable, and a tune to passengers' needs. The tour company demonstrated care and concern for their clients when they alerted the guide to Hurricane Helene and made arrangements to keep us out of harm's way. The people we travelled with were friendly and interesting. This is our second bus trip with Tourradar, and I look forward to a third.

We enjoyed the Charleston, Savannah and Jekyll Island tours. The beauty of each location was exceptional. We enjoyed special visits to Angel Tree and Driftwood Beach.

he Sunsets and Southern Charm April 21-25 tour to Charleston and Savannah was an absolutely beautiful trip with a very busy itinerary, i.e., the way I like it. This was my 3rd attempt for this tour and it was well worth it. Let me begin by saying our Tour Director Janet Serra was fantastic. She was ‘On Top’ of everything making for a smooth 5 days. Since I booked my trip on-line and not a part of the Southington Senior Center, Janet helped greatly with my connection upon arrival and departure eliminating so much stress. A Tour Director can make or break a trip and she certainly made the tour run smoothly. I would travel with her again. I loved the guided narrated tour in Charleston, Horse-Drawn carriage in Beaufort (I believe the guide was Charlotte. She was so sweet, cheerful and spoke to her horse so tenderly. Loved her accent.), and the narrated tour in Savannah viewing architecture and learning the history at various locations. It was a great schedule of interesting things to learn and enjoy. The Local Guides on all 3 tours spoke clearly and were very entertaining. The Dolphin cruise of Tybee Island was great being on the water which brought back many special memories of days gone by. The ‘Full Breakfasts’ were fantastic at both hotels rather than Continental. Best Restaurant: Paula Deen’s Overall Entrees, Best Fried Chicken (not overdone) and Location (nice to be walking distance from hotel). Aside for the rainy arrival day, which is beyond anyone’s control, we had awesome weather. Came home with wonderful memories of what I saw, learned and people I met. I would recommend this tour for sure.

This tour is unbeatable as far as variety goes. Every day a new surprize, from history to music to civil rights to slavery. We had absolute fun dancing in Nashville, swinging to the blues in Memphis listening to jazz in New Orleans. The visit to the Lorainne hotel (civil rights museum) filled one with sadness at what could have been. Ann Harness is a brilliant travel concierge. The 2 buffet lunches were disappointing and Monmouth hotel does not belong on the itinerary. Bad rooms and bad breakfast. All the early starts a bit tiring, but then, the tour covers more than 3000 km in 14 days!
- by Lambertus Germanus MineurThe Luxury Gold Sumptuous Soul of America was without any hesitation the holiday of my lifetime. It was such a unique way to travel down the spine of mainline USA and to see how the country changes and evolves with different cultures, iconic history, defining music and incredible flavours. If you want experiences which will always stay with you, this is the itinerary for you. From the moment we arrived it was first class, our travelling concierge Ann Harness was a smart, efficient and a very likable guide. She conducted the itinerary in such an effortless way, we arrived at the finest luxury hotels as we were royalty, bags whisked to our rooms and check in already complete and we always had ample free time to explore at our own leisure. Please see below some of my highlights Accommodation:- All five star plus properties. Personally favourite The Brown Hotel in Louisville which is pure class but no snobbery, the staff were excellent. Also Monmouth Plantation in Natchez, WOW like stepping back to an era of gone with the wind! Just incredible! Experiences:- VIP Access to Graceland, after hours when it closed to the general public. This was a real privilege, even if you are not an Elvis fan you cant help but be swept up in this! Museum of Civil Rights in Memphis:- Here we had the choice of included experiences, this was not to be missed, the Lorraine Motel where MLK was assassinated, you can feel the history here and the way the story is told is just right. Nashville:- Studio B - We got to record our own song in the same studio as so many of my heroes! Food:- Wow the restaurant in New Orleans, Arnaulds I believe was true French Creole Cuisine plus a private Jazz band and the dinner at Monmouth Plantation in the grand dining room was divine. Transportation:- Our group size was perfect, it wasn't too small that we were with the same group all the time but it wasn't a large group. I believe we have about 20 on our itinerary. The coach was immaculate and driver was so polite, the coach was so different to any other touring company I have travelled with before, it had so much legroom, like travelling in a limousine, plus WIFI was included. What more can I say other than if you want a trip of lifetime, if you love people, food, music, history, great company then there is no itinerary like it, plus Luxury Gold was worth every single penny. 10/10! Thank you Luxury Gold!
