Emily was a great guide. Very organized, professional, safety conscious, and weighed all the factors each day (weather, group's energy, etc) in choosing the right hike for the day. She prepared great lunches on the trail which kept us in good spirits. And she was very personable, upbeat and was a member of the group. One of the best guides I've ever hiked with.

Love the overall trip The tour director was exceptional Was very informative and entertaining The Doubletree was dirty and would have preferred being in the open car on the Silverton-Durango narrow gauge railroad The Hotel in Durango was beautiful and highly recommend Enjoyed the breakfast at the Denver hotel but the downtown was very limited because of the construction
- by PhilipWe lived the tour Truly enjoyed the time in Durango would have liked to spend more time there The hotel in Durango was excellent The train ride from Silverton- Durango on the narrow gauge RR would have enjoyed it more if we were on the open air car Both the first and last dinner together were excellent The hotel in Grand Junction Doubletree was dirty at least our room was

Visiting the National Parks of Colorado on a Southwest Adventure Tour was super. We take a Southwest Adventure Tour every year, and they are all wonderful. This time I even white-water rafted ... and enjoyed it! For this tour, every place our outstanding guide, Sarah, took us to, maybe it had been raining or foggy; we arrived and it was miraculously fine. We were really fortunate: with the lovely weather; with a knowledgeable, careful, caring and fun guide – who, incidentally, picked superlative restaurants and sandwich shops for our meals and picnics (e.g., the wonderful Blue Water Bakery in Grand Lake, CO); and with a friendly tour group. On our last tour day a foot of snow was forecast in the Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park, but it turned out that the precipitation didn’t start up until after dark so we even got to climb to Adams Falls (in the clear, warm morning sun) and to see Longs Peak (from a blustery, clouded overlook near that 14,259-ft Peak around 2:30 p.m.) before heading on to Denver and our flights home the following day.
- by JDAn excellent experience. South Western Adventure Tours were extremely professional and the entire trip was seamless. Our tour operator, Sarah, was also great. She did everything possible to ensure that we got the most from the experience.
