About Let's Cook in Umbria

I am Raffaella, the the organizer of the programs of “Let’s Cook in Umbria”. I live in a Farmhouse in Perugia since 1996, with my husband who is a musician, and our two children. Since 2005 we have been offering an authentic cooking experience, set in a real farmhouse located in the heart of Italy surrounded by rolling hills, vineyards and olive trees, and steeped in Etruscan and Medieval history. Let’s Cook in Umbria was born thanks to my love for the Umbria region, its products and traditions. My goal is to offer an unforgettable holiday in central Italy that combines Italian food, art, and our local culture, an holiday during which people can live in a real farmhouse surrounded by Umbrian hills, discover the secrets of our traditional cooking and enjoy of the artistic richness of our region! My programs include accommodation in the farm, cooking classes, half-day tours, and meals.! Simplicity, fantasy and attention are the mainly ingredients in my classes, and they are the base of the pleasure of cooking together. The tours include visits to the famous art cities of Umbria and Tuscany like Perugia, Assisi, Gubbio, Todi, Orvieto, Spoleto, Norcia, Siena, Cortona, Arezzo, e Montalcino but also to many less frequented towns and villages off the usual tourist itinerary. I also include tours focused in the gastronomic richness of my region like chocolate, wine and extravirgin olive oil Tours. I also propose Seasonal packages coinciding with Festivals and traditional Events that celebrate the rich Umbrian history, its foods and its Saints. I personally select the Festivals and Events representative of each season and I build each cooking vacation package with the aim to show you an unusual view of the Umbrian life
