My husband and I decided to climb Kilimanjaro as part of our honeymoon trip to Tanzania. Altezza Travel were absolutely brilliant from the word go! Our team, and especially our guides, Rashid and Osmani, went above and beyond to help us reach the summit. They were so friendly, professional and every detail was taken care of - including providing hot water bottles for our sleeping bags in the cold nights. Our guides were only too happy to show us extra insight about the mountain, as well as teaching us some Swahili! We couldn't have made it to the summit without their help and support. All 7 members of the team (porters, chef, waiter, guides) were keen to meet us and even performed a song for us, which was really moving. Although we spent less time with the porters and chef team, when we did see them they were always smiling and keen to talk to us, and did all their tasks with enthusiasm. We would highly recommend Altezza Travel to anyone who dreams of summiting Kilimanjaro - you won't be disappointed! The level of customer service we experienced was outstanding and we cant think of anything that could have been improved. We will have amazing memories of this trip, thank you so much!!

Travel with Altezza was wonderful. All was good from the beginning until the end. During the preparation of my Kilimanjaro trip I got in contact with several agencies and finally I have chosen Altezza and I´m just happy because I feel I made the correct choice. This 6 days climbing Kilimanjaro Experience by Marangu Route was just a life time experience… It all was good. All the crew was professional, making medical check-ups twice a day, good food, nice and friendly staff, hot water bag for the cold nights, excellent service and mainly friendly staff… talking with us all the way long J A special thank you to our amazing guides Victor and Selemon and without any exception to all members of the crew. Also to Anna, from the Office, that was really helpful and kind. If you are in doubt, I strongly advice Altezza and my guides and their team (victor and Selemon) no make this trip. Cheers

For our honeymoon, my wife and I decided to climb Mount Kilimanjaro and chose Altezza. We couldn't have chosen any better. The team was extremely profesional: 1 guide per person and 6 porters (including a cook). We were taken care of with a lot of attention, the team treated us really well (including hot water bags before sleeping for the cold, a gentle a nice touch we were not seeing with the other groups). We had medical checks twice per day. We couldn't make it to the summit without the help and care of the guides, Stanley and Rodgers. In the hotel where we stayed before and after the climbing, we had good briefings with Altezza's crew. Also, they offer equipment for rent needed for the climbing, if needed: this were of high quality brands. We highly recommend Altezza, they were awesome!!!!!!

My father and I have just climbed Kilimanjaro Mount with Altezza and everything was better than I’d imaniginated! The organization, instalations of the camping tent and, mainly, the professionalism of the team that helped us from the beggining of the route Rongai up to reach the summit! Especially the guides Elipokei and Erick! Byond the knowledgement of the route, me, as a doctor, could noted that they really knew what they were doing about our health control especially even because my father is 67 years old and reacheted the Gilmann’s point with their help. I deeply recommend Altezza!

When choosing the company for climbing Kilimanjaro we were also considering some more budget options, however eventually we were very happy that we were climbing with Altezza Travel. The difference in pricing is visible on the Mount when you see how other climbers struggle compared to you. Starting from the airport Altezza team provided excellent services. My wife and I were taking a private 6 days climb via Umbwe route, our guides were very nice guys Victor and Haji. The trekking was very interesting, at first, we were going through rainforests, starting from the third day we witnessed the picturesque landscapes of the high altitude tundra, which were soon replaced by the unforgettable Lunar-Martian desert landscapes. The team was very professional! We did not expect such a level of service on the Mountain. The meals were really great, rich and varied. The guides were helpful and very caring – they checked our medical condition twice a day using oxymeters and were checking our lungs and overall state of health. The tents and all the equipment was almost brand-new and we were sleeping on 3-inch thick matrasses! The final summiting night was the most memorable and mind-blowing experience. Our guides helped us to conquer the Uhuru peak successfully and escorted us inside the crater to see the Kilimanjaro glaciers. Thank you Victor and Haji! Thank you Altezza Travel for making our Kilimanjaro dream come true!

Just returned home from Tanzania. Choosing Altezza Travel for organising my climb was a great decision. Everything was perfect! Managers were reachable literally 24/7, the equipment I rent from Altezza shop was clean and in a good condition, the hotel before and after the climb was located in a really nice area where monkeys are literally jumping from tree to tree right next to you while you are having lunch. The route I climb via was Marangu. I decided to do it on my own just because I felt like I needed some piece and quiet from my daily life and working routine. When I was told that the supporting group consists of 9 people I wasn’t really happy about it and didn’t understand why on earth we needed that amount of people. But when I started my climb I realised how wrong I was. First of all, it was basically just me and a guide. I almost did not see porters while trekking from one camp to another. They were going far ahead from me, and once I reached the camp, everything was already set up like tents, dinning tables, food… Oh God, the food was amazing! They even cooked pizza once. Honestly, I was really surprised by the variety of food they offered up in the mountains. Sometimes it was pretty cold in the evenings, but a sleeping bag I rented was warm, plus I was given a heating pad, which really helped me to survive the nights! The most difficult part was the summiting night. I didn’t sleep well and on my half way to the top I was so cold and tired that I asked my guide if we could return back to the camp. But big thanks to him and his motivational and cheerful speeches, which made me continue my climb and reach the highest point of Africa. It is important to highlight the fact, that your health is being checked twice per day. The guide even had some special medical card where he wrote down all information about my physical condition etc. And do not bother yourself taking such tablets as Diamox and Aquaguard, because Altezza has everything in their aid medical kit. The guide deserves a special mention. What an amazing and interesting man! My plan of being all alone for 7 days vanished into thin air as soon as I started a conversation with my guide. I will never forget these long walks we spent together, sharing lots of life stories. I learned so much about what it is like to be a Tanzanian citizens and to climb Kilimanjaro few times per month. Tanzanian people are something unique. They are so kind and apprehensive. My guide could actually feel when I wasn’t in the mood for communicating (even my wife still cannot do that) and just followed me in a complete silence when it was needed. My biggest regret was not combining my climb with a safari tour, because at the end of my trip I didn’t want to leave Tanzania at all. There are so many interesting places to see and things to learn about the culture, that one week is extremely little time to do that. So if you are planning to spend your next vacation in Tanzania, make sure you take at least 2 weeks off and book both Kilimanjaro climb and safari. I can assure that with Altezza Team organising your holiday you will get the most of your trip to Africa!
