- DJDana· October 26th, 2024LORENZO!: The Man. The Guide. THE LEGEND! Great guide, though he didn’t have to do much on this trip b/c the itinerary is pretty sparse (not guides fault). Be warned, the only real planned activities on this sparse itinerary are at Iguazu Falls & at the ranch in Uruguay. Don’t be fooled by the Buenos Aires & Rio de Janeiro on the itinerary, these are merely entrance and exit spots for their airports. There are no appreciable planned activities, tours or sightseeing. If you want to see these two major cities, and all they have to offer, you will definitely need to plan extra time on either end of your trip and do it on your own. Although there can be some benefit to a free and open unplanned itinerary, I found it very inefficient as the majority party (same Country members of your group) decides what you do, and I would’ve spent my time very differently if I had the choice. Also, there are nowhere near the number of included breakfast in the itinerary, as most days you are leaving before breakfast is provided, I think maybe we got three or four breakfasts. Overall, hit some high spots if you include time on either end on your own, but not a packed and planned itinerary like other intrepid tours I have been on.Show moreIntrepid Travel commented on this reviewThank you for taking the time, Dana to leave such a comprehensive review of your time in Argentina, Uruguay & Brazil. He has the ability to make you feel welcome and at ease right away. He is very encouraging and patient, sometimes answering the same question 8 times in the same hour.Show moreIntrepid Travel commented on this reviewHi Ruth, thank you so much for your glowing review!
