  I have travelled internationally a great deal and typically really enjoy pulling together arrangements myself. With the Rila-Pirin trek, I followed a friend's advice and gave all of the arrangement-making over to Traventuria. I wanted to only have to think about the beauty and challenges of the Rila and Pirin mountains each day and not whether my reservations were vulnerable to unexpected events. Traventuria took excellent care of us - easily moving us (and our bags) from inn to inn and locally for the daily walks, and sorting all the places we stayed. Orientation materials were top-notch! Thank you, guys!

  Excellent tour company! We are returning customers, who were impressed the first time we used Traventuria. And will definitely continue using them. Climbing the highest peaks of Bulgaria was challenging for us, but we didn't regret the efforts we made to achieve this task. The nature is still intact on many places, unlike the Alps, where you often walk under ski lifts, close to ski slopes, or behind crowds. The GPS tracks we got, meant to supplement the roadbook, were of great help. We mostly use them and checked the roadbook once daily just to be aware of potential alternatives and hints.

  We had a most enjoyable time, tracing the ridges and lakes of Rila and Pirin. Local organization was superb. Punctual drivers, always on time. Accommodations - simple, but clean, serving good breakfast each morning. Pre-tour information was among the most detailed we have ever received for such type of tours. At no single second we felt insecure or lost. Overall a great holiday.

  A most enjoyable holiday! We took the suggested extension to include also Maliovitsa peak in Rila, and made the tour 9 days. It was definitely worth it.

  Great hikes in the highest mountain ranges of the Balkans - Rila and Pirin. A tour, carried out with perfection by Traventuria. Ground transfers, accommodations, navigation materials were all of excellent quality. Highly recommended tour operator!

  One of our best self-guided hiking treks we have taken across Europe. Scenic trails and favourable weather helped us to fully enjoy this challenge! On-time transfers, accurate route descriptions and smooth ground organization - everything went flawlessly. We summited the highest peaks on the Balkan peninsula and we started doing plans to go even higher, probably in the Alps or the Himalayas.

  Did two hikes in Bulgaria, one after the other. Both with Traventuria. Combined treks in the Rhodopes, Rila and Pirin. Very different mountains, incomparable, but equally memorable! All arrangements went smooth. Accommodations were all good, food was very good, local transfers - always on time, route notes - clear, and trustworthy. Bulgaria is a little gem outside the popular hiking areas in Europe, but definitely worth visiting!

  Rila and Pirin are amazing! We were both stunned by the scenery we found there. Definitely didn't expect that when booking the tour. The tour organization was impeccable, and the navigation materials we are given - easy to follow. Highly recommended experience!
