I wanted to express my extreme gratitude to Mountainkick and especially for the team for wonderful customer service! You guys are awesome. Thank you for all of the arrangements you made on our Everest Base Camp trek. Our Guide Kumar is a marvel on a consistent basis! He listens, communicates effectively, knowledgeable, remains patient, approachable and prompt with our requests. Also our Assistant guide Hari for being so hilarious and knowledgeable too! - LLiamTrembley· December 23rd, 2018We had an amazing 14 day trek from Lukla to EBC. It is challenging but worth every breath, every step. Love it! Altitude sickness can be a real problem, so you need to ascend slowly, guided by a professional company like Mountain kick and a super guide like Dev. Go slow. slower. Usually, it is the people who go too fast get sick. For me, this was truly a ‘bucket list’ trip. Best memories of us were on the way, soaking in the breathtaking out-of-this-world view. It really is a very spiritual place. we are extremely delighted with the arrangements made by Mountain kick. Our guide Dev was cheerful as always and the porters were very friendly too. One of our favourite part of the hike was stopping at Namche for the night, followed by a leisurely stroll adjacent to Shyangboche airstrip then a short hike back down to Namche. We had an awesome time in the country while the company and the guides made sure we’d come back and trek with them again and again.Show moreTrip date: December 2018
- David· December 13th, 2018I would like to thank the team of Mountain Kick, especially my guide Kumar. Recently did the EBC trip with Kumar leading our 9 pax group. The EBC trip was amazing. Breathtaking scenery from day 1 till the end. You feel like a spec in the universe surrounded by majestic mountains that dwarf everything. Truly humbling experience living with Nepalese locals seeing how positive they are after all the hardship of recent earthquakes and just life. We all have so much to be grateful for and this trip just emphasize that!!! If you want to go to Nepal, go with Mountain Kick!!!Show moreMountain Kick commented on this reviewThank you for the review. Hope to see you again in the future.Trip date: November 2018
- SSSteve· November 13th, 2017In my life I have been lucky to travel right around the world and enjoyed it all. One of the highlights for me was meeting Kumar from Mountainkick and the Everest view trek he lead. Not only did he deliver on a superb trek but his understated attention to detail was comforting. At all times he was vigilant for both our safety and our comfort. His local knowledge of the Himalayas was invaluable, the views and small trails travelled our group travelled on we would not have seen without him. All his Sherpas were friendly and thoughtful and everyone cared about us and our overall experience. His choice of tea houses on the Trail were excellent and he even took the time to keep an eye out in the “kitchens” to ensure no stomach troubles for our small group. If by chance you should need a change of route or timings then Kumar will sort it. For example at the end of our trek back at Lukla we were fogged in for 3 days. No flights back to KTM. All the time other trekkers are coming back down to Lukla and space plus amenities get in short supply. Throughout all this Kumar kept focus and not only looked after us more than he should have but made sure we were on the first plane out back to KTM when flying resumed. What a trooper ! This literally saved our round the world tour as we were due out of KTM the next day to fly on to Thailand. Can’t thank him enough. In short, I know there are plenty of very good trekking companies in Nepal. But, if I’m ever lucky enough to go back then there is only one guide I will trust with my hard earned holidays. Give Kumar Thapa a call at Mountainkick you will be very well looked after.Show moreTrip date: September 2017
