What is the typical age range of participants on the tours?

We do not specifically ask for ages, but most of our guests are usually between 25-40 years old.

Do the tours get cancelled if there aren't enough bookings?

All our trips are guaranteed to run regardless of the number of bookings, so they will not be cancelled if there aren't enough participants.

Are the tours suitable for travelers who cannot swim?

For safety reasons, the ability to swim is a requirement for our tours.

Is there a minimum number of guests required for the tours?

Yes, there used to be a minimum requirement of 2 guests for the tours, but you can join a larger group if you are traveling alone.

Is it necessary to have previous kayaking experience to join the kayaking trips?

No, previous kayaking experience is not necessary. Most of our guests have little or no kayaking experience. We use stable double kayaks and adapt the tempo and distances to ensure everyone is comfortable.

Are the tours still operational in April or is it too cold?

April is typically too cold for our tours. Our guided trips usually start in early June when conditions are more favorable.

Thaise is the perfect trip for outdoor-loving, wilderness and nature admirerers who are fun to hang out with. All was perfect equiped, good canoes, tents, matrasses, chairs, etc.. but about all surprisingly good and healty food too! The surrounding was so quiet, beautiful and unique, the waters where without other people, only the birds and the fish, the stars and the moon where with us.

Assuming your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you're planning to visit, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your scheduled departure.
- Here is an indication for which countries you might need a visa. Please contact the local embassy for help applying for visas to these places.
Payment information
- For any tour departing before May 24th, 2025 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after May 24th, 2025, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Do the North. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Do the North will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "Do the North" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
Cancellation Policy
- Your money is safe with TourRadar, as we only pay the tour operator after your tour has departed.
- TourRadar is an authorized Agent of Do the North. Please familiarize yourself with the Do the North payment, cancellation and refund conditions.
