Mark· January 20th, 2019“My brother and I hiked the Manaslu circuit over 14 days with an incredible guide, Surya. He went above and beyond to make sure that we had a great trip. Highlights included staying at some of the smaller villages on the trail (which were less crowded), including Tal and Yak Kharke (where you stay in a farmhouse surrounded by freely roaming goats and cows). We loved hiking the Larkye La pass at sunrise - our calves are still aching from the downhill! When my brother and I got sick, Attam looked after us with great care. He is a wonderful guide, always willing to answer silly questions, and loves to chat. I would recommend bringing plenty of water purification tablets (or a water filter) as bottled water becomes very expensive the higher you go. Also make sure sure to bring antibiotics and altitude sickness medications as pharmacies are very scarce on this relatively remote hike. Possible to do this hike without a porter if you are used to doing multi-day hikes carrying relatively heavy loads, however most of the other trekkers employed local porters.”Show more
