The tour gets off to a quick start with full days of activity so be ready to go when you arrive! Early to bed and early to rise on most days! Our guides were very knowledgable. Saladino who was our guide during the days of the cruise in Upper Egypt was exceptional, often going out of his way to make sure we had a wonderful experience. - CBCarol· November 2nd, 2024My nine day Enchanting Egypt Tour with Internal flights included was fantastic from start to finish.It was one of my best travel experiences. Beyond the Nile Tours staff and guides made every day interesting and fun! Egypt is extremely safe; there is no war going on anywhere. The Egyptian people are warm and welcoming and their food is delicious. Our guides, Nasser, Ahmad, and Abdul are university-trained Egyptologists. All of their descriptions of every site visited were like master classes. Ahmad, our guide for the cruise made the experience fun as well as educational. The Nile cruise is on a maximum 131-passenger boat. This gave our tour group a cozy, more personalized experience compared to the giant ocean cruises. The boat staff were extremely helpful and every one of our three meals a day was a delicious feast. One day during our cruise our group of nine had a birthday and one couple became engaged. Ahmad arranged with the chef two celebrations during dinner. Our tour coordinator Harry plus Beyond the Nile Tours Director, Ahmad, and all of their staff went out of their ways to make sure we always had enjoyable, comfortable, and safe experiences every where we went. Jana· October 26th, 2024This tour was excellent. Our group was small so it had cosy, friendly feel. Guides both in Cairo and on the Luxor- Aswan cruise were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Everything was well organised, hotel, cruise cabins were comfortable, clean and very nice. All trips and transports were great too. - AWAl· October 7th, 2024Harry the team leader in Cairo, works very hard to organize and make airport transitions and activities go as smoothly as possible. He is a very good communicator and obviously works hard. Abdul the tour guide in Cairo is very knowledgeable and passionate about sharing that knowledge. He does so with consistency and clarity, making it easy for those of us with little knowledge to be able to follow along. The accommodations are quite comfortable. However the hotel is clearly designed as a tour mill, with little personalized service provided and responsiveness to issues poor. However, the service on the cruise ship was outstanding. They were very friendly, attentive and responsive. The sites included are fascinating and crowded. We would have been happy to get up and going earlier to beat the crowds and heat. We were regularly explained about what we would see inside a structure, but told that the the guide couldn’t go in with us. However, when inside there were other guides providing explanations. So not sure why some could and some couldn’t. The additional cost for the balloon ride was a highlight of the trip. However, the river crossing and van convoy was not necessary at 4-5 am. It appeared that we could have left at 5:30 rathe rthan 4am and easily made the liftoff time which was 7am, well after sunrise. The military has to approve liftoff for the 30+ balloons, therefore it is uncertain. Our balloon pilot was excellent as we glided close to the ruins and rose to get a high altitude view. We were surprised at the size of the basket (20+ people) but that didn’t hamper our experience. We would not do the Light show in Luxor or the Nubian Village (Both are addons) But the other add-ons were worth it. We truly enjoyed this once in a lifetime experience and would do it again. Our issue was our lack of knowledge because it was a last minute trip for us. So we would highly recommend people to do their homework before the trip. - MSMeli· April 14th, 2024We were a group of 7 people from Switzerland and did the "Enchanting Egypt Tours - Internal Flights Included" with the organizer "Beyond The Nile Tours". Everything was very well organized and the guides did a very good job. We would especially like to praise Mahmoud Noby. He fulfilled all of our wishes, even on the last day, when the tour was already over, he organized a boat and taxi for us. Mahmoud - THANK YOU SO MUCH. In Cairo we stayed in the “Tulip Golden Plaza” hotel and on the Nile in the “Princess Sarah” cruise ship. Both accommodations were fine, clean and with good meals. We didn't eat salad on the trip for fear of diarrhea. At the end of the trip we learned that in the kitchen the food was only washed with water from "controlled bottles". So we could have easily eaten the salad. Nobody in our group had diarrhea, and we didn't meet anyone else with diarrhea either. For us the highlights were: the pyramids, hot air balloon flight and the Valley of the Kings. We were surprised that photography is now allowed in the Valley of the Kings. When we were there in 2017, it was still strictly forbidden. The hot air balloon flight must be booked in addition. It will remain an unforgettable experience for us and we would repeat it at any time. Although the war in Egypt is close, we felt safe at all times.
