- Dan· February 10th, 2024My friend and I have just had an incredible 5-day trek in the foothills of the Himalayas, all thanks to our amazing guide, Hari! He was attentive and caring, making sure we were safe and happy, by letting us walk at our own pace and taking us to the most cosy and welcoming guesthouses where he knew it wouldn’t be overcrowded . Hari also brought along fresh apples for us to enjoy every evening. His knowledge of the mountains' names and history enriched our journey, and he had a knack for taking us to the most breathtaking spots, including the incredible Poonhill at sunrise. Highly recommend if you're looking for a guide who offers a personal touch and truly memorable experience! Thank you so much Hari!Show moreHimalaya Heart Treks & Expedition[P] Ltd commented on this reviewDear Dan Thank you for such a great review. - Warren· January 7th, 2023Reflecting upon a wonderful time in Nepal with my two adult sons. A nine day trek from Kathmandu to Pokhara and into the Annapurna region with highlights all the way, topped by sunrise on Poon Hill and a final day stroll with the snow capped peaks as a backdrop. Of course, weather is uncontrollable so we had a couple of days walking trails through forests and climbing slopes with mist above without the peaks for company, but always local nature, farm and village life to observe. Throughout this adventure we were accompanied by our experienced and affable guide Hari from Himalaya Heart Treks & Expedition. Hari made sure our day to day trekking, meals, accommodation and activities were everything, and more, of what we hoped for. Keeping spirits up when the occasional difficult moments arose, as they will on such a venture, Hari was always telling you what you needed to hear at any moment - his timing impeccable. This Hari achieved not only by his attention to detail for every element of the trek, but also with an understanding of individual differences between everyone in the group, and responding accordingly. Hari was also flexible organising a small mid-trek deviation in plans, and assisting us with the other sightseeing activities before and after the arranged trek. As a father in my mid-60s (and of average fitness) wanting a once in a lifetime experience with sons in their 20s and 30s I couldn’t have asked for more, and I have no hesitation recommending Himalaya Heart Treks & Expedition and Hari as a guide, if you are seeking a similarly extraordinary experience.Show moreHimalaya Heart Treks & Expedition[P] Ltd commented on this reviewDear Warren Muir's Thank you for such a great review. - DDavidOMeara· May 4th, 2022This is my second time in Nepal using Himalaya Heart Treks & Expeditions. I cannot fault their service! From day one, picking us up at the airport, getting us to Poonhill and arriving back to Kathmandu safely. Our guide Hari, and our porter Navaraj were absolutely great! They went above and beyond everyday to look after us. Hari’s experience and knowledge is second to none. He had us well prepped on what equipment to bring and our accomodation was exactly what we needed. Even when our travel plans changed at late notice Hari did all he could to accommodate us. I highly recommend booking your trip with Himalaya Heart Treks and Expeditions and to request Hari as your guide.Show moreHimalaya Heart Treks & Expedition[P] Ltd commented on this reviewDear DavidOMeara's We thank you so much for your valuable time to write review about Annapurna Ghorepani Poon Hill trek and about us. - FFamHollenbergGrent· January 13th, 2020Automatic translation available in English. View in EnglishDecember 24, 2019. After a good flight, the five of us (father, mother, son 18, daughter 15, daughter 12) arrived in Kathmandu. There we were met by Himalaya Heart with a clear nameplate of us and cheerful Nepalese flower necklace. We immediately felt welcome. with all our luggage in the Jeep we were taken to our hotel in Kathmandu. A lovely quiet hotel in the middle of the busy city. The first 2 days we visited Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan with a guide. Our guide knew a lot about everything and we visited places we would not have found on our own. Also did the Everest flight in the early morning. Breathtaking! The transportation neatly arranged and our first introduction to Hari. When we were picked up early in the morning by the Jeep we left with our guide Hari towards Pokhara. stopped in between to go rafting, the water was freezing cold, but we enjoyed it very much. Between rafting we had a delicious lunch. At the end the Jeep was ready to take us further. We arrived in Pokhara in a lovely hotel. Together with Hari (who knows how to find the best places) we had dinner in a great restaurant. Together with Hari we checked if we had all our stuff for the trekking so we could buy some more if necessary. Got up early to drive to the starting point of the trekking. Our 2 porters had also arrived and the 8 of us left. Our 5-day trekking could begin (Ulleri, Ghorapani, Poon Hill, Tadapani, Ghandruk). The first day was tough but still fantastic. What views, breathtaking. Lunch at noon in one of the restaurants you meet along the way, all well organized by Hari. The guesthouses where we stayed were simple and a real experience, exactly what we were looking for. Exactly what we were looking for. Together with other trekkers guides and porters around the stove, because it was cold at night. Hari quickly figured out what we could handle as not super well trained trekkers. He was really great for our kids and especially for the youngest when we had to descend and the path turned out to be icy, he helped her well so we could concentrate on ourselves. Also certainly the porters, 2 brothers, assisted us very well.Compliments. Back in Pokhara we decided to ask if Hari might want to stay another day and be our guide in Pokhara. Had a great day in Pokhara with another fun program. Caves, museum and boating on the lake. Early departure again to Chitwan with the tourist bus. In Chitwan we saw elephants, rhinos and crocodiles. Then back to Kathmandu. Unfortunately the end of the trip. On our last day we were waved goodbye by Hari, who gave us all a good luck scarf. I could write much more, but I can also say "do this trip with your family under the good care of Himalayan Heart and Hari. Super thanks for this wonderful experience.Show moreHimalaya Heart Treks & Expedition[P] Ltd commented on this reviewDear FamHollenbergGrent's We thank you so much for your valuable time to write review about Annapurna Ghorepani Poon Hill trek and about us.
