Everything went smoothly from the initial day of meeting and discussing the itinerary to the final moment of being helped with my airport taxi. Hari and Krishna customized an extra day and summit since I had more time than the designed trek. The gradual increase in elevation and pace were just right to acclimatize. I am happy I chose this guiding service and the Langtang Valley trek, such a majestic natural area with wonderful peaks without the crowds. I reached my highest elevation ever.. My guide Krishna took care of all the logistics, checked on my needs regularly, and handled all the meal ordering, allowing me to just be in the here and now and soak in the experience. Highly recommended trek and guiding service!

"An Unforgettable Trekking Experience in Nepal - The Langtang Valley Trek" I recently had the most astounding trekking experience in Nepal, and I cannot praise it enough. Guided by Rajendra Panta, a fantastic tour guide, I embarked on a journey that took us from Syabru Bensi to Lama Hotel, Mundu, Kyanjin Gompa, Tserko Ri, Langtang, and back to Syabru Bensi. Rajendra's expertise, knowledge, and friendly demeanour truly enhanced our trekking experience, and I warmly recommend him to anyone planning a trek in Nepal. The highlight of this adventure was the ever-changing landscape that surrounded us, creating breathtaking views at every turn. Our trek began through a tropical forest, where we were amazed by the abundance of hemp plants, especially near human settlements. As we continued, we found ourselves immersed in beautiful bamboo groves, occasionally catching glimpses of majestic white monkeys. We spent a night at the humble yet fantastic Lama Hotel, where my sister and I had a refreshing dip in the Langtang River, which accompanied us throughout our trek. The next day, we entered a forest adorned with blooming rhododendrons, pine, and holly trees. As we ascended above the tree line, resilient shrubs and herbs surrounded us. We encountered an emotional landmark, the remnants of the devastating 2015 Langtang avalanche, which left a lasting impression on us. Eventually, we arrived at Mundu, where we spent our second night on the trek. On the third day, the weather was not in our favour, and we found ourselves walking through thick fog for about two hours until we reached Kyanjin Gompa. Despite the snowy conditions that followed, we were delighted and surprised by a day of relaxation in Kyanjin Gompa, enjoying local espresso and pastries at a charming café/bakery. Although our itinerary had to be adjusted due to the weather, we decided that if we had a good night's sleep (as the previous night was challenging due to the high altitude) and favourable weather, we would attempt to conquer the highest accessible peak, Tserko Ri. Waking up on the fourth day to perfect weather, we knew we had to seize the opportunity, even if it meant descending to Langtang later that day to ensure we could complete the trek on the final day. With light packs, we set out towards the summit of the majestic snow-covered "hill." Despite the increasing difficulty in breathing and the scorching sun (which even managed to burn my neck through sunscreen), we persevered and conquered all the challenges. Despite the acclimatization day, altitude sickness affected us to some extent, with my sister facing a particularly demanding ascent and my second sister enduring a challenging descent. Nevertheless, we all agreed that the beauty and the experience of being at an elevation of 5,000 meters above sea level were absolutely worth it. On the fourth day, we ascended 1,200 meters and descended 1,500 meters. During our descent on the fourth day towards Langtang, we rediscovered the same layers of nature in reverse order, accompanied by perfect weather that lasted until our last day, the fifth day. It took us 12 hours from the morning ascent to reach Langtang, and the following day, we trekked for 10 hours and descended 1,900 meters to Syabru Bensi. We arrived utterly exhausted yet incredibly happy. I cannot thank Rajendra Panta and the organizers enough for ensuring our safety and making this trek an unforgettable experience. The stunning landscapes, the diverse flora, and the challenges we overcame have left a lasting impression on me. I highly recommend this trek to anyone seeking adventure.

Coming to Nepal for the first time and choosing Himalaya Heart Trek Expedition for Langtang Valley Trek was an excellent choice. The whole trip was perfectly organised from Hari Timalsina, starting with pre-information and pickup-service from the airport, to kathmandu city tour with professional guide and private car, fantastic and quiet hotel in thamel, to the breathtaking trek in langtang valley with experienced guide Krishna. I really felt safe, comfortable and motivated throughout the trip and will definetely come again to trek with their agency. 5 Stars and more!

What our customers ask about this tour

The content in our FAQ section is subject to change.
    • What cultural differences should I be aware of when visiting Nepal?

As a multicultural country, Nepal respects people of all faiths, creeds and cultures and definitely expects the same from the visitors too. There are no such restrictions or limitations on your activities, except those considered illegal and immoral. That being said, public displays of affection are somewhat unacceptable in Nepal, and in order to feel comfortable and attract fewer stares, females may wish to wear long sleeves, especially in more remote areas.

    • Can I pay by card in Nepal?

Most places in the city will allow you to pay by card, however, there will usually be a surcharge of around 4% on top of your billed amount.

    • Can I withdraw money from ATMs in Nepal?

ATM counters are relatively common in cities and will incur a charge of about 4 USD per transaction.

    • Can I exchange other currencies in Nepal?

Nepal Rastra Bank decides the exchange rate, however, when you exchange the currencies in a money changer, you will get lower rates than those listed on the bank’s website.

    • What currency is used in Nepal?

Nepal uses Nepali Rupees. 1USD will be more or less equivalent to 100 Nepali Rupees, however, exchange rates fluctuate every now and then.

    • Where will we eat in the mountains?

As this is a group trekking adventure, everyone will eat together. Breakfasts and dinners will be provided at the guesthouse and lunch will be taken along on the trek. Breakfasts are included in Kathmandu and Pokhara, however, lunches and dinners will be left up to you. There will be plenty of opportunities to find good places to eat.

    • How are the rooms allocated?

This tour runs on a twin sharing basis. Solo travellers will be roomed with a fellow group member of the same gender, and if this option is not available then you will have a room to yourself. To guarantee a private room you will need to select the single supplement option for an additional cost. Please note that single supplements are only available during city stays.

    • Can you tell me more about the accommodations?

While in the cities you will be staying in good tourist class hotels, with the option to upgrade for an additional cost. Please contact our Travel Experts to arrange this. During the trek, the group will be accommodated in basic guesthouses.

    • Do I have to carry my own luggage?

There will be supporting staff members to carry your luggage in the mountains and you will have a porter between two people. Please remember to pack as lightly as possible for the mountain. Items not needed for the trek can be kept in the hotel. All you will need to carry is your daypack with essentials such as drinking water, energy bars, sun cream, camera, and any other stuff that you will need during the day

    • Do you provide an equipment/gear list?

As this is an adventure trekking tour, you will need to have the proper trekking gear. A comprehensive gear list will be sent to you after you book the trip, and we highly advise making sure that you have all the necessary equipment.
