  Sultan is such an amazing and friendly character. He gave us an incredible week of our lives, showed us all around and told us all about the history of his people and the areas. I would strongly recommend anyone to skip the other tour guides that are there, and go with Sultan; for a true 'authentic' experience.

  We have gained more insight into the different cultures of Pakistan. Our guide tried his best to answer all our questions & made us feel very welcome. We started our journey in Islamabad, then proceeded along the Karakorum Highway towards the Chinese border (Khunjerab Pass). We had chai & biscuits with local game keepers whose hospitality was moving. As an added bonus, the open fire provided some much needed warmth in an otherwise harsh climate. We have many fond memories of Pakistan, especially from the Hunza Valley.

  Have you ever been inspired to visit a far away place for the first time, and have an inkling that it was was going to be great trip? I have and Pakistan absolutely blew my mind! I came across this tour company Called Crossroads Adventure in my search for a trekking experience that might be able to emulate the the euphoric summiting of Mount Kilimanjaro the summer before. After some Youtube searching I found a video by Bags Packed Family who ran into a similar issue with the month of June being during monsoon season. In their video they chronicled their journey to a place called Fairy Meadows. I was in awe of the beauty of the breathtaking landscape, and the the excitement of the perceived challenges to get there, and so began the initiating first steps toward making the trip a reality. Sultan the owner and operator of Crossroads Adventure, seemed like my best bet to actually get to my desired adventure. The information on the website was very organized and detailed, and the pictures that I saw with some of the reviews left me wanting to have the same type of experience that I was seeing. I opted to put down a deposit, and then soon after paid the balance It was all systems go for me. Every step of the way, it was very apparent to me that Sultan was very passionate about the tour and making sure the tour the most amazing experience of my life, this made me feel very confident about booking a tour with a relative stranger. On the flight to Islamabad, Pakistan I quickly got my first first taste of Pakistani hospitality, As I was engaged in conversation with people around me , who all demonstrated the same genuine authenticity and next level hospitality that you will find throughout Pakistan. Some people even offering me snacks, and inviting me to stay at their home ,if I had time on my tour. The level of what I perceived as genuineness was very pleasantly surprising, especially as I was repeatedly assured I was their guest. The feeling I received from the people of Pakistan was very heartwarming, and something that in all my travels I had not ever experienced first hand to this degree. The day before my official tour with Crossroads Adventure began I took a full day trip to see the highlights of Islamabad, Again everywhere I went I was met with Pakistani hospitality, curiosity, and invitations to go have chai, or lunch or dinner at the relative strangers' homes. At one point I was swarmed by teens and adults wanting to take pictures with with me , and their friends or families. Many of the kind and curious Pakistanis would ask why I came to their country, and followed by asking me if I liked Pakistan. Sometimes I would answer, " no I do not like Pakistan ...I LOVE IT!!!. To which nine out of ten times the response I got a broad smile and the mandate to inform people in the USA that "we love America , and tell every one to come to Pakistan. I could go continue on with more detail, but then I would only rob you of feeling ,the amazing euphoria that you would most probably experience while interacting with the wonderful human beings you will encounter all around you. There are so many great unexpected moments and memories that I had with my exceptional tour guide Nawaz. I learned so much about the country and its people in the ten day journey of enlightenment (Hunza Valley& Fairy Meadows Tour, Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan. One of the things that I really appreciated about my guide Nawaz, aside from being a veritable oracle of information regarding all things Pakistani, having amazing cinematography skills, and his positive can do vibe, is that he never gave away the amazing surprises that I was going to experience along my guided journey. He left me with the gift of seeing and feeling firsthand the nuances witnessing spectacular and or breathtaking things for the very first time, thus preserving the exhuberance of first encounter. I remember telling Nawaz one time on the hike back from Fairy Meadows that if I died tomorrow it would be with a big smile and a happy heart have seen such mind blowing beauty of nature. Then everyday after that, just when I thought things could not possibly get any better they did, I each day I could not help but to feel a deep sense gratitude. I will leave the gift of surprise for those who are loo looking for that next level transformative experience that you will fondly remember for years to come.   Although I was excited about visiting Northern Pakistan and spending time with my friends and family, I did not expect this to be the best trip I’ve ever taken. Crossroads Adventure went above and beyond to make sure that we were safe, comfortable, and above all, having fun! They definitely succeeded. The tour guides and driver were super nice. The experience itself was new, amazing, and full of adventure. We also got to meet the adorable son of the owner, Mr. Sultan, which filled the trip with even more memorable and special moments, making us feel like we were part of the family. We visited Naran, Fairy Meadows, and Hunza Valley. My favorite parts were riding in the Jeep up to Fairy Meadows on a precarious road, hiking up to the Nanga Parbat base camp, and all of the chai stops. You can never have enough chai! Overall the trip was an amazing experience. I highly recommend choosing Crossroads Adventure as your tour company to explore this amazing part of the world.

  We took a 10-day trip with Crossroads and we immensely enjoyed our trip. Guides were extremely knowledgeable and offered details about as applicable. Food and accommodations were also very reasonable. Our driver was very friendly and was punctual and ready at all times. Highly recommend Crossroads. We will definitely take another trip in coming years.

  Having been referred through family, I knew that we would enjoy our experience with Crossroads Adventure. My main concerns were safety, having fun, and activity accommodations for a wide range of family members (13 yo - 74 yo). Still, I was not expecting to have my expectations exceeding by leaps and bounds. I started planning for this trip a year in advance and Sultan (Owner) was respectful and responsive to every single request - customizing our trip to match our exact needs. Upon arrival we were greeted by a designated tour guide, Nawaz, who first came to me to confirm my daughter’s food allergies and ensure they would take every precaution available. I couldn’t believe this was top of mind for them from the beginning (having been treated extremely poorly by many airlines and others regarding this matter) and knew immediately this trip was going to be different. The actual itinerary was exactly what I had envisioned with some over the top adventure, long car rides enjoying the unparalleled and ever changing terrain, amazing food, and a taste of history. We enjoyed a family experience that will be cherished for years to come. For anyone even remotely considering such a trip, don’t delay - you won’t regret it! Thank you Crossroads Adventure for going above and beyond in hosting us in Northern Pakistan - we are already planning our next adventure!

  Took 2 week group tour (10 people) with Crossroads: Lahore - Islamabad - Hunza - Chitral - Peshawar. The main guide had excellent English. Company owner Sultan joined us for large part of the tour. Highlights for me were Lahore and Peshawar museums. Magnificent scenery in the north. Tour was well organised. Guides had excellent knowledge of local places - best scenic routes with frequent photo opportunities. Enjoyed visit to famous yak burger restaurant. Very tasty traditional mutton dish in Peshawar. Thank you so much to Sultan and his dedicated team. Highly recommended.

  My sister and I recently joined the 10 days tour to Hunza, Fairy Meadows and Gilgit. Sultan was very responsive to all our questions . He was also flexible and worked out an itinerary that worked for us. His brother, Hassan was our tour guide up north. While his English was not great, he is pleasant, always helpful to meet our requests and also gave us space for privacy. He is experienced with the roads and territory in the north and we always arrived safely at our destinations. The only constructive feedback we have is it would be good to always give a brief summary to the travelers on where we are heading to next/tomorrow, how many hours’ drive, lunch or toilet breaks etc that would help to prepare the travelers for what is coming up next. The 4x4 car we took was clean and comfortable for the 3 of us. There were certain days with long drives along the Karakoram Highway which has amazing views. All the places in the north has spectacular sceneries. People in Pakistan are very friendly and welcoming to foreigners/travellers. We enjoyed ourselves very much. We would recommend this tour company for an amazing time in Pakistan.
