  Great guides, super well organized, amazing hotels. They send you a list of things to set up beforehand to deal with the “great firewall of China,” which was great though I would have liked it sooner. Thanks to our wonderful guides Kevin, Lily, and Johnny, as well as Wally and Sean for the airport pickups.

  As a couple surprised by an fantastic individual tour by three very articulate guides and proficient drivers around Beijing, Xian and Shanghai. Learnt not only about history but culture and language today. Felt very safe even when venturing out alone around cities without guides. Our only issue was we could not get internet to connect but that is going to be more us being technophobic. However so supported by guides that not required.

  The tour was wonderful. The tour guides were very informative and gave lots of recommendations. I went during their down season in December, best decision every. There was not a lot of people at the most popular tourist locations. I recommend coming during the winter.

  We had Maggie in Beijing, Susan in Xi’an, and Chris is Shanghai. This tour deserves 5 stars all around, but the only reason I take one off is because of Chris in Shanghai. He didn’t meet us at the airport (all the other guides did) he started the tour later, but then was late to the hotel. This would not have been a huge deal, but we didn’t cover all of what the itinerary said in Shanghai, and he sold us on an extra tour at night that covered the parts we didn’t do during the day plus an extra thing we had asked. It felt weird, because Maggie and Susan were literally bending over backwards to make sure we were having a wonderful time. I was vegetarian, and they made sure that every restaurant we went to made dishes for me. At the restaurant in Shanghai, it was clear he did not relate it to the restaurant and I was given a plate of peas to eat when I asked if any of the dishes on the table were vegetarian. I feel so guilty not giving this tour 5 stars because it really was one of the best tours I have EVER been on other than the Shanghai portion. It may look like there’s a lot in the itinerary, but I NEVER felt rushed. Any questions or concerns I had were dealt with immediately and Susan and Maggie were so kind, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do. I would HIGHLY recommend using this tour company - and I don’t think I’ve ever said that about a tour group before.

  I love the tour very much, but in Xi’an we losed my husband, my sister and my cousin for 2 hours, finally the Tour Lady found them..., for me the Tour Guide must stop to check all of the tourists all the time. In Shanghai, it was raining all day, they canceled the boat ride which is very bad for us.. We spent lots of money to see nothing. All else, Everything is excellent. Thanks

  The name of our guide was Candy. There were 15 in our group. Unfortunately tour groups were banned from the visiting the Tiananmen Square due to the large crowds during the National holiday so our itinerary was changed slightly. On 4th Oct - We visited the Forbidden city, Hutong, have a delicious welcome lunch, visited the Temple of Heaven and enjoyed the late afternoon Kung Fu show at the Red Theatre. After the Jung Fu show, we are taken to Silk Street market stalls. On 5th Oct - we travelled to Mutianyu Great Wall, where we were free to enjoy approximately 3 hours hiking if we choice to do so. We had a toast with red wine at the bottom of the mountain before returning to the hotel. We found Candy to be very knowledge and passionate about her job. We also found Candy to be friendly. Unfortunately we had to leave the tour due to unforeseen circumstances on 6th Oct

  The tour was excellent in every way. The guides were extremely good and were able to change direction as required. Their english was extremely good.

  The tour really maximized our time by having all the tickets for the most popular sites booked beforehand so we were only waiting a couple of minutes to pick up the tickets versus hours if you were to book them yourself. In addition the food and hotel options were all of a very high quality. While I felt all the big attractions were a small bit of a let down; being way too packed with tourists, it was the more cultural activities (tea ceremony, visits with local families, kung fu show) which I have to admit before travelling sounded a bit gimmicky were actually the ones that will stay with me the longest. The tour guides and transportation were all of a very high standard too so I would highly recommend this trip.
