  This trip was a dream! Costa Rica is a nature lover's paradise, the group was small and very friendly, our teenagers got along fabulously and Allan, the tour guide, did a great job of organizing everything and had an extensive knowledge of Costa Rica's wildlife and culture. Every day was a highlight and the abundance of scenery and animal sightings was hard to beat: wild tapirs, toucans, pumas, crocodiles, an abundance of exotic birds, monkeys, whales, dolphins. It is not for nothing that Costa Rica accounts for 5% of the world's biodiversity. The hotels were also fabulously selected and the transportation by minibus was comfortable and ideal.   Highlights were the zip-lining, white water rafting, last hotel, boat ride and seeing whales at the end of the trip, hearing the howler monkeys at the turtle hotel, the early morning boat trip at the turtle Hotel, the fruit tasting, the hummingbirds, the lunch and kids dancing, the walk in the cloud forest, the view from monteverde, seeing huge lizards wandering around everywhere, the hotel with amazing butterflies (second hotel), the cheese making.   All good, everyone had a great time and the whole package was great. One minor comment, and perhaps this is actually about CR itself, but none of the places we ate at seemed to do much in the way of kids portions. So, we seemed to waste a lot of food!

  It is a wonderful trip but I would suggest spend a bit less time doing the city trips and a bit more time at the wildlife areas as they were the star and the city trips were much less interesting.
