The day we drove across the border from Canada into the US. It was a busy day but superb, from the walk to a viewpoint over Lake Willoughby to the trip up the cable car, Flume Gorge and a final drive along the Kancamangus Highway, it was epic!

Good trip, great leader, nice hotels. My only complaint, and one I have made before, is that the hikes were totally inadequately described. Saying a hike is 5k and omitting to mention that there is a 800 ft elevation gain is not only useless, it is misleading.

Costs of meals, including breakfast, was high. Culture was a low priority in the cities

Many thanks for taking the time to review the tour. We will discuss this with Tour Leaders to see if they can enhance the cultural side of the tour. At the moment there is a little more emphasis on the natural beauty of French Canada and the eastern US... Show more

This trip was absolutely amazing! It was a small group which made it nice and allowed for more flexibility. Patrick, our guide, was absolutely wonderful. He did an outstanding job with giving information on what to see and where to go. He did an awesome job accommodating all our needs. He went out of his way to make this trip satisfying for all. He was down to earth and personal to all in the group. He’s an all round great guide, leader, person and the entire group believes they have made a friend for life.

The hotels were clean and the staff friendly.Compared to the UK/Europe some of the hotels looked as if no money had been spent on upkeep for years.Astonishing for first world countries.

The flexibility was really appreciated, for there being just so much ground to cover and so much to see in the time available, which worked so well on account also of another great Explore group; and just the 12 of us.
