  The highlights, for me, were the days at Apuseni Park - such a lovely setting, a great place to explore, and the Guest House was fantastic. Sighisoara was brilliant, nice hotel and enjoyed the Citadel, especially at night. The Village Museum in Bucharest was great - could have spent a couple more hours there. But the absolute highlight of the whole trip was our guide, Raz, he is fantastic at his job, and the best guide I've ever had on a tour.

  I loved being in the Apuseni National; Park where total silence was only interrupted by bird song. I also loved the Village Museum.

  really well put together itinerary covering a lot of variety including mountains/ countryside, cities and architecture. Lots of highlights! In terms of sights, the Village museum in Bucharest was an unexpected delight and also visiting the Caucescu villa (not on the itinerary but the whole group visited so maybe it should be?). All of the cities are lovely maybe apart from Bucharest (although Bucharest is a must visit as the capital city and a contrast to the lovelier, smaller cities)

  it was a family get together, I hadnt seen my daughter and son-in-law since Christmas so enjoyed the time with them. We were able to do our own thing on many occasions

  This is a fast paced trip and visits allot of the country in a short time. I wouldn’t change the itinerary though as it let’s you see more than you would be able if travelling yourselves.

  Regarding the flights. There was insufficient time to connect in Frankfurt and due to the distance from drop off to gate and huge queues at immigration we missed our connection on the outoing flight. On the return journey the distances were less and we ran!However we managed to re book on the next flight and Explore were very efficient at re-arranging our transfer. Thank you.Might it bre possible to offer direct flights for this holiday as some of the group had arranged independently?

  We saw a lot of Romania in a relatively short time with the Danube delta cruise a relaxing and unmissable highlight. The itinerary was varied and included 4 walks of half a day or less with alternatives if you didn’t want to walk. Everything was incredibly well organised so although we packed a lot in with relatively early starts there was always time to enjoy places, have coffee, wander around taking photos etc. We arrived a day early which gave us longer in Bucharest. The hotel is centrally located so it was easy to do some extra sightseeing. I
