- DHdarily· December 7th, 2024The Marangu Route offered a unique perspective of Kilimanjaro, blending adventure with Tanzania’s warm hospitality. The huts provided a comfortable rest after challenging days, and the landscapes were simply stunning. Our guides introduced us to the mountain’s cultural history, adding a deeper connection to the climb. Reaching Uhuru Peak felt like embracing the spirit of Tanzania!Show moreTrip date: November 2022
- KDkunal· December 7th, 2024The 6-day Marangu Route combined the thrill of climbing Kilimanjaro with the comfort of Tanzania’s famed hospitality. Staying in the cozy mountain huts was a unique way to connect with the local culture while enjoying the trek. The guides enriched the climb by sharing the traditions surrounding Kilimanjaro, making the journey both physically rewarding and culturally enlightening. - Nicole· October 2nd, 2024The entire trip was absolutely amazing! Adam my guide was so great about keeping my updated on next steps throughout the day, the porters became like family to me and were so nice and thoughtful, and the chef made some amazing food during my hike! I HIGHLY recommend this tour company and would 100% come back again.Show moreTrip date: August 2024
- Sokim· September 26th, 2024Kilimanjaro Wonders Expedition Safari provided a disappointing experience. The guides lacked professionalism and were unhelpful, making the journey stressful rather than enjoyable. Communication was poor, leading to confusion about the itinerary. The equipment provided was subpar, and the accommodations were uncomfortable. Overall, the service fell short of expectations, and I wouldn't recommend it.Show moreTrip date: July 2024
- MZMichael· September 17th, 2024Teacher and his team at Kwesa Tours led our group of 20 from the USA (CO, IL, IA, and TX) via the Marangu route to the summit of Kilimanjaro. It was one of the most fun, safe, challenging, and life changing experiences. The Kwesa Team took care of us at every step from the preparations, briefings, dining, hiking, and ultimately the preparation for the summit attempt. Most of our group was successful in summiting in large part due to the assistance and fortitude of the Kwesa team. We all felt confident about our safety (especially since Teacher has climbed over 1,000 times), and the Kwesa Team shared our objective to get to the top as a whole. I am grateful for Teacher’s friendship and the cooks, guides, and porters who looked after us so well. I don’t think we would have had such success in reaching the top if it wasn’t for this wonderful team. I would definitely choose Kwesa Tours again and would recommend them to my family and friends. It was a wonderful physical, mental, and cultural experience that I will never forget and I hope to recreate.Show moreKilimanjaro Wonders Expedition Safari commented on this reviewThank you so much for your wonderful review. - JMJeff· September 15th, 2024Edward “Teacher” Lazaro, owner and leader of Kwesa Tours and his fine team led our family and friends to the summit of Kilimanjaro! Our group of 20 from the U.S. (IL, CO and TX) selected the Marangu route because it is the only route where you use huts for the ascent and descent and we generally had a crew with no climbing experience. Teacher is a fascinating, principled, man who truly cares about his clients (we now call him our friend) and those values translate to his whole team. Bottom line: Teacher and his KWESA team took care of us from start to finish, focused on our self care and achieving our goal - get to the top!… safely. They provided support, preparation, briefings, nutrition (compliments to the cooks), hydration, and friendly encouragement throughout the trip. The trek was culturally and environmentally interesting, safe, fun, yet challenging … with no technical climbing. I highly recommend Kilimanjaro Wonders Expeditions.Show moreTrip date: August 2024
- KKhan· September 16th, 2023We had booked a mixture of Kilimanjaro via Marangu and Safari. Unfortunately, our flight wasn't working too well and at midnight Kwesa Tours could be contacted and understood our situation. The tour to Kilimanjaro was well guided and the food was tasty and for the limited availabilities atop a mountain quite rich in variety. The safari was an experience in and for itself. We were collected in the Kili base hotel in Moshi and went for four hours via Arusha to the first national park. On our list were four parks: Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire - while all parks have their perks, the tour got a little long and we were tired of the safari just before the last day. In our case however, we would have missed big if we hadn't gone to the final park - Tarnagire. Our driver was spotting many animals very quickly and thus was a very good guide in finding harder to spot animals. The cars do at times speed at like 80 km/h through the parks - and given the street conitions it is only natural that once in a while the tires burst. Our driver was realizing that in a split second and stopped before we even realized what happened. Downside were the replacement tires which didn't really have much of a profile - or were the burst tires for some days... Tip for improvement: location of the Kili base hotel in Moshi is a bit far off for Mt. Meru and the safari and thus would be better located near Arusha.Show moreTrip date: September 2023
- KKai· February 25th, 2023Our group of five teachers chose kwesa Tours because they came highly recommended by our friends. Upon doing a bit of online research we discovered that Kwesa Tours is one of the oldest and most reliable Kilimanjaro trekking operators in Tanzania. The trip was well planned with an expert crew. They were knowledgeable, friendly and caring. They put our safety first, above everything else. The cabins operated by the park were pretty decent. We got three hot meals with plenty of snacks in between from Patrick our chef, It was fun! Given another trip up Kilimanjaro I would still use Kwesa ToursShow moreTrip date: February 2023
