- ZZachary· February 16th, 2025I don't typically write reviews, but Kilimanjaro Heroes played such a pivotal role in my Tanzania experience that I felt compelled to share. For the month leading up to my arrival, they maintained daily and timely contact via WhatsApp, answering every question I had with detailed justifications and references. They took all my desires, concerns, and time constraints into account and built a seamless itinerary that included airport pickup, hotel lodging, an 8-day Kilimanjaro trek on the Lemosho route, a 4-day safari, a coffee farm tour, and transportation to Dar es Salaam (continuing on to Zanzibar). The trek was incredible. The team met us at the hotel in the morning, where Onesmo carefully checked our gear to ensure we had everything necessary for the hike. We stopped by the office to pick up a few missing items, and the Keys Hotel kindly stored the extra luggage we didn’t need on the mountain. Our two tour guides, Onesmo and Theophil, were outstanding. Their knowledge of the terrain, weather patterns, and timing was spot on, allowing them to make accurate predictions that helped us navigate the route efficiently. Onesmo frequently stopped along the way to provide insight into the unique plants, animals, and geological formations that make Kilimanjaro such a breathtaking landscape. More than anything, Onesmo and Theophil fostered an incredibly positive atmosphere, filling the trek with great conversations and continuous jokes. On the first day of our hike, it happened to be my friend’s birthday, and after dinner, the team surprised us with a cake and a small celebration. This was above and beyond our expectations and made for an unforgettable moment. The Food The chef (Shedrack Boka) was amazing! I still don’t know how he managed to prepare such high-quality meals on the mountain, but every dish exceeded my expectations. Fresh fruits, crisp vegetables, handmade bread and crepes, delicious soups, stews, and curries—it felt like restaurant-quality dining in the middle of the wilderness/mountain top. Along with The Chef, Twalibu Self doubled as both a porter and a waiter, ensuring we had everything we needed, from hot water for washing to tea, coffee, snacks, and toiletries. His attentiveness made the experience even more comfortable. The Porters Now, let’s talk about the porters (Ally Suley, Vicent Mishana, Richard Batholomeo, Thomas Lonyoki, Jonathan Hosea, and Abas Idd). Their strength and endurance were nothing short of inspiring. Yes, they carried our gear and often raced ahead to set up camp before we arrived, but they also provided unwavering encouragement throughout the trek. Their singing, cheering, and motivation made us feel like part of a true team, pushing us forward as we conquered Kilimanjaro. Final Thoughts I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The professionalism, expertise, and warmth of the entire Kilimanjaro Heroes team made this journey unforgettable. Based on my experience, I feel more than comfortable recommending them to anyone looking for a top-tier guide company to take them up the mountain.Show moreTrip date: February 2025
- MMax· December 5th, 2024Automatic translation available in English. View in EnglishI'm not very familiar with reviews, as I hardly ever leave them on my travels, but here we are, it's impossible not to talk about our Kilimanjaro Heroes experience. My friends and I chose to climb Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho route in 7 days at the beginning of November 2024, and we were lucky enough to be accompanied on our ascent by an exceptional team of porters and guides (NISKA TEAM). In addition to all having successfully completed the climb, we created unique human bonds with our guides. I can only advise anyone wanting to embark on the Kili adventure to ask for the team of GOODLUCK, DAVID and DAVID (Niska). I have no doubt that you've prepared for an extraordinary physiological adventure, but are you ready for the human adventure? Max, Rémi, Antoine and MarcShow moreTrip date: November 2024
- LBLesley· May 6th, 2024I can't express enough how phenomenal our experience was with Kilimanjaro Heroes Adventures! From the moment we began planning our trip to the final descent, every detail was handled with expertise and care. First off, the team at Kilimanjaro Heroes Adventures are true professionals. They're not just guides; they're seasoned adventurers who know the ins and outs of every trail and peak like the back of their hands. Our guides, Mwinyi, Calvin, Gloria & McTemba were hands down the best of the best. Their knowledge of the mountain, its flora and fauna, and the local culture enriched our journey tenfold. Not to mention, their infectious enthusiasm kept our spirits high even during the toughest stretches of the trek. Speaking of the trek, wow! Kilimanjaro is a beast of a mountain, but with Kilimanjaro Heroes Adventures, we felt supported every step of the way. The routes were carefully planned to maximize acclimatization and enjoyment. And the scenery—breathtaking doesn't even begin to cover it. From lush rainforests to otherworldly alpine deserts, every turn presented a new marvel. Safety was a top priority for Kilimanjaro Heroes Adventures, and it showed. The equipment provided was top-notch, the campsites were clean and well-maintained, and the team constantly monitored our health and well-being. We always felt secure, allowing us to focus on soaking in the beauty of our surroundings. And let's not forget about the food! I was genuinely surprised by the quality and variety of meals prepared for us on the mountain. From hearty breakfasts to delicious dinners, the chefs (thank you, Chef James!!!) at Kilimanjaro Heroes Adventures made sure we were well-fed and energized for the journey ahead. If you're considering trekking Kilimanjaro, look no further than Kilimanjaro Heroes Adventures. They don't just offer a trek; they offer an unforgettable adventure of a lifetime, filled with awe-inspiring moments, camaraderie, and personal growth.Show moreTrip date: February 2024
- AIAmita· April 12th, 2024Kilimanjaro is a magnificent mountain itself, and also a part of UNESCO World Heritage Site, worth seeing ones in a life time. Lamosho route offers a close inside across different fauna and flora at various altitude from tropical forest to glacier. Very picturesque! Due to its length, pace is slow, comfortable, even for less experienced hikers. And, most important, it is possible to acclimatize very well. If the weather is on your side, Kilimanjaro is truly astonishing experience. Though, a lot of stamina is needed to reach the top and all the way down to the last camp in just one night / day. In addition to the stunning views, experiencing Tanzanians (staff is mostly from Bantu tribe) friendliness and energy (you will hear them singing "Hakuna Matata" / Don't Worry all the way) plus delicious hand made food, this trip is a must!Show moreTrip date: January 2024
