Our guides Emanuel Peter and Marco were great - attentive, knowledgeable, encouraging. Brayan was great organizing all our pre and post climb logistics. Our three guides (john, juma, and izack) were always there supporting us and making sure we kept in good condition for the summit day. Chef jafet cooked the best meals us as well. - elizabethy· October 5th, 2022We had a really great experience with spider tours and safaris . Our guides, peter and Daniel, were brilliant and made every effort to ensure we had a great trip. The porters and cook were excellent, we never had to worry about timing or going hungry and experienced a very wide range of delicious meals. Our chef, kiba, also had some decent cobbling skills and stitched some new life into a pair of old boots. The trekking team and off-mountain management all came together as one and it was great to spend 8 days with Tanzanians that appeared to be friends as well as colleagues. - Ruthy· October 5th, 2022spider tours and safaris is a local Company and that is one of the reasons we chose them, in order to support a local Company. They are very serious in the pre-booking and we managed to book several tours that were linked. Our first tour was safari in Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater. Our driver was Rojas, he picked us up at the border from Kenya and drove us to Serengeti. It was an Amazing 3 Days with Rojas, doing safari from North Serengeti to central and then the crater. We saw the big five and lived at Amazing lodges already prebooked with spider tours and safaris. Rojas also took us to a masai village (I would skip that, it is a rip off). He was a very good driver and guide and we had super fun with him in the car! Then the last day he drow us to Moshi, to our hotel were we met our guide for our Kilimanjaro tour (also booked with spider tours and safaris). The only thing we felt here was that we are hikers from Scandinavia and we were already equipped with warm clothes, so they sold us over a 100 dollars of rental, most of we needed but the thermal pants and the extra flees I never used. However the rest of the trip, was Amazing. Beautiful scenery, Amazing chef, Amazing porters. They made us come up on the top, which was a huge success. They also helped with transports when we got back to the hotel and to the Airport and were super helpful and friendly. Also a fair price to climb the mountain. - esra· October 5th, 2022spider tours and safaris is an excellent locally run company. I signed up for the 8 day marangu route along with a 4 day safari. From initial planning of the trip throughout the end spider tours and safaris provided excellent timely communication and service. Our climb was led by guides dany and innocent and both were great. They have led summits many times and were very knowledgeable and friendly. If you listen and follow they will definitely get you to the top. The rest of the team (Cook, Porters, etc) were awesome and they always seemed to be having fun and in a good mood. Overall all of the employees seem to be treated well and happy. Our Safari was led by Bryan who has an eagle eye for spotting animals. On multiple occasions he was pointing out stuff we never would have found. He has been in the business for quite some time and it really showed as he was an excellent guide. They gave us a fantastic experience and a successful summit. They were patient and accommodated all our needs including diet, pace and equipment.
