- BBronwyn· January 10th, 2025Absolutely brilliant experience through Nomadic Adventures. Everything was well-organised and orchestrated. I was prepped well in advance in terms of the gear and experience, and could not have asked for a better company to have booked my climb through. I felt well looked-after, safe, confident and I knew I had a great communication line with Nomadic Adventures, in the event that I needed to ask or share any concerns along the way. I would highly recommend both the tour itself and the travel company, Nomadic Adventures. I will without a doubt be using them for any upcoming adventures.Show moreNomadic Adventures commented on this reviewHello Bronwyn, Thank you for your very kind review and thank you for trusting us with your journey. We look forward to hosting you on another incredible destinationTrip date: December 2024
- RROBBIECOOKE· March 20th, 2019An absolutely great experience. Very comforting to know all relevant arrangements pertaining flights, accommodation and most importantly the climbing experience was in safe and capable hands. Nomadic Adventures did a splendid job re making all arrangements and our very experienced guide and now friend Juma Omary is a star. He made sure we positioned ourselves in such a manner to enable a successful summit for everyone in the group. We had such an amazing experience with NOMADIC ADVENTURES that we booked twice with them for climbing KILIShow moreNomadic Adventures commented on this reviewThanks so much Robbie - really great to hear. Juma has become a friend to many which means both of your are blessed. We appreciate your great feedbackTrip date: June 2015
- AAnnOwen· March 8th, 2019We could not have been more pleased with our tour experience! Our guide, Charles, and all of the porters associated with our group were excellent -- they all took very good care of us and made sure we comfortable! Charles was especially intuitive about how to pace us and when to reach the summit. From the itinerary, to the packing list, to the ample food, to the dining tent, to the private bathroom accommodations -- every detail was covered!Show moreNomadic Adventures commented on this reviewAnn thanks so much for your wonderful review. Charles has sadly stopped guiding but doing well in corporate as expected. We hope to host you both again soon. Keep up the charity workTrip date: August 2016
- Joseph· March 7th, 2019We went in May 2008 for our honeymoon. the transportation and accomodations were great. staff at the hotel as well as on our trek were excellent and we felt very well taken care of. Juma, our guide was fantastic. very knowledgeble, kind, funny, and kept a good eye on us, pacing our hike, mindful of water, breaks, food, rest, and helped us stay safe/not be dumb (like me trying to ignore early signs of altitude sickness). we had some wonderful memories on a really magical climb through the forest, mountains and peaks of kili.Show moreNomadic Adventures commented on this reviewThanks Jo. Hard to believe how time flies. Juma is still climbing every week. Thanks so much for trusting us with your honeymoon trip.Trip date: April 2015
- YYolandelouw· March 1st, 2019I dont have words! It was life-chaging! Everything from start to finish was excellent!Nomadic Adventures commented on this reviewHello Yolande. Thanks so much for your review. Yes, Kilimanjaro is life changing:)Trip date: March 2015
- AAlecCollier· February 28th, 2019Debra and her assistant. where fantastic in organising our climb up Kilimanjaro. They provided us with lists of everything we would need for the climb and even exercise programs.Debra checked on us regularly to see we were keeping up with the programs as well as sending us a written and photograpic description of what we could expect and see each day to prepare us mentally for what lay ahead. They did this for everyone in a group of 17 who where assembled from all around the world. Amazing service. Debra stayed in touch with us throughout our climb to ensure we were well cared for. I have absolutely no qualms about recommending Nomadic Adventures to anybody wishing to travel to any of the destinatiions they cover. You are in good hands. AlecShow moreNomadic Adventures commented on this reviewAlec what wonderful words. It also helped to have an amazing team of climbers to work with and we are priviledged that we have all stayed in touch after all these years.Trip date: March 2015
- Yente· February 19th, 2019This was my second tour with Nomadic adventures and it was just as great as previously. We had a delayed flight which resulted in our bags being late, but Debra helped us make sure we had what we needed and the bags were with us sooner than we anticipated! Juma was a Rockstar, and made the hike and the summit that much more memorable! Love the guides and porters, so thankful for them and what they do!Show moreNomadic Adventures commented on this reviewJuma is indeed a Rockstar. Thank you for those kind wordsTrip date: December 2018
- SStuartCharlton· February 19th, 2019An absolutely fantastic hike. Nomadic Adventures and Zara had everything well planned, even down to a portable loo for the ladies in the group! We summited Kili and watched the sunrise from the top of Africa! An experience to be remembered!Nomadic Adventures commented on this reviewThanks Stuart. You and the team were so strong that you got there in time to watch the sunrise, Quite an experienceTrip date: June 2015
- BBirgitKaiser· February 18th, 2019The interaction with Debbie from Nomadic Adventure was simply stunning as one could ask her ANY questions about the trek. It helped that she had done the trek herself a couple of times. Our 'group' consisted of only my husband and myself and the head guide ensured that we were safe all the time and advised us accordingly in respect of DIAMOX . Thanks to Debbie we also tried Diamox at home too so we knew about potential side effects :-) Her parting words were: Have fun! Looking back at the pictures we can truly say: we had fun!Show moreNomadic Adventures commented on this reviewBirgit what a treat to look back over your photos. They really do show just how much fun you both had. It is always imnportant to enjoy those small cameo moments especially on a trip like this.Trip date: July 2015
- KKaren· February 17th, 2019Seemless logistical arrangements. Airport transfers, hotel to mountain and back all on time. Safe baggage storage at the hotel. Wonderful tour of the village market before the climb. Guide was Juma. Excellent knowledge, good experience, great people skills across cultures, great patience and knew when to call it a day. Our whole party submitted safely despite the weather. We were giving small basins of warm water to wash in, which is great. Food was filling and considering how remote we were, it was actually good. Nomadic Adventures always goes the extra mile, and for adventure travel, they are the only company I’ll use. And have used several times!Show moreNomadic Adventures commented on this reviewThanks Karen for your feedback. It is always great to hear good reviews of the services and our guides. We look forward to your next trip with usTrip date: February 2016
