- LSLudwig· August 18th, 2024If you still want to go after reading this review - the first review in 1 year.. go in october. The other months can be until 40 degrees... (to hot for cycling in the mountains) If you are a solo traveller, and have questions about the group composition, be aware that the company can give you false information to persuade you to join the tour (that happend to me - I had a very sweet group of people but 5 retired couples is a surprise when you are expecting a group of people between 40 and 60 years with two other solo travellers that are not there . I only spend 2 days on the tour, I had to leave in the morning of day 2 because of family reasons. (I didnt see or touched a bike and didnt join the group in the minivan on day 2). The company understand it, but they refuse to give my any kind of compensation. (didnt had a cancelation insurance - thats my fault, but it is still a bit of a shame "to sponsor" them without getting anything - not even a new booking, back). The company prefered that I would write this 'not to good but honest review').Show more

The airlines miss directed my luggage so I only had the clothes I was wearing. Other guests and guides loaned me items of clothing until I could buy a few things. Can be tough at times I can vouch for that. Plus the heat! Herausfordernd in sportlicher Hinsicht, für die, die sich gerne verausgaben wollen, eine wunderbare Landschaft, gut organisierte Abläufe. Zwei Kritikpunkte habe ich. Zum einen war der Guide nicht gut. Zum anderen hatten wir eine Teilnehmerin, die vom ersten Tag an fürchterlich gehustet hat. Der Guide meinte, er hätte sie um einen Coronatest gebeten, den sie aber abgelehnt hätte. Cycle Albania könne sie aber nicht zu einem Test zwingen. Das kann ich einfach nicht glauben. Die ganze Gruppe hat versucht, sich von ihr zu distanzieren, was natürlich nicht immer möglich ist. Erlis, our guide, was fantastic. He was encouraging, informative and dealt with all our varying abilities so well. Likewise Dhani, the van driver/bike fixer/snack provider was brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble for him. The tour was varied, fascinating and challenging in just the right way. The choice of accommodation delighted, from mountain farm to beachside hotel...and wherever we went the food was out of this world.
