- PDPeter· August 29th, 2024Automatic translation available in English. View in EnglishFood was always good! Sleeping accommodation was also always good! Sanitary facilities were also good under the circumstances. Hiking route: Day 1: good Day 2: good Day 3: good Day 4: not good. Hike along the tracks can be canceled Fresh water tastes of plastic (very bad) Guide: poor communication Improvement: Introduce the participants at the beginning for a better group feeling; divide the groups into slow and fast if necessary (the fast hikers always had to wait and often cooled down); transparent communication in case of difficulties. Macchu picchu: very good organization: important to start early.Show moreTrip date: August 2024
- Amaranta· July 13th, 2024Fantastic tour and am glad that I chose this tour after the Inca tours were all full for the month. There were 7 people in the tour group and 6-7 staff members supporting our tour! Very personal and enjoyable, plus am grateful to the guides (Sarah and Toribio) for making the pace easier for me - going uphill was quite tiring for me at the start of the trek. Really like that this is a relatively young company managed by locals, as perhaps compared to the other more established ones where I observed a bit of a rush and they tend to cater to large groups with smaller age differences. Great service from the guides as they shared and infused Quechua culture and language into the tour, so that gave the tour an added dimension 😄 Finally, the food prepared meticulously with great care by the chef and his team ( not forgetting the horsemen and super porters) was delicious and fits all diets and preferences! Sometimes it feels like a party! And gosh, they do make sure we are all fed well and happy. Highly recommend this trek and the team!Show moreTrip date: July 2024
- Ron· June 4th, 2024A great tour! It was challenging but worth every step. Stunning scenery the whole trek. The whole team did a great job, the guides John and JJ, the cooks, the porters all contributed to a fantastic overall experience. Be sure to pack all of the recommended items and consider the add ons that contribute to a better overall experience. (Trekking poles, air mattress etc..) You definitely won't go hungry on this trip, all meals and snacks are provided along with drinking water and the chance to purchase additional refreshments at stops if you wish. Overall I had a great time and would definitely recommend! Thank you TreXperience :)Show moreTrip date: May 2024
- ADAndrea· June 1st, 2024Great food! They porters and guides really helped make the trip feel special. On a cold night they had warm rubber bags for us to sleep with. Also tea in the morning to wake up. It's like a bougie hiking/camping trip.Trip date: May 2024
- TGTrudi· April 19th, 2024Such an amazing experience. Roger our guide was a great guy, very experienced and full of local knowledge and stories. We were so well fed by our chef who never ceased to amaze us by producing fantastic local food every meal. The porters made sure everything was perfect and that we had everything we needed - even hot water bottles on a freezing cold night.Show moreTrip date: April 2024
- Bianca· April 19th, 2024The trek was absolutely amazing, to hike through the different landscapes and microclimates is an experience you definitely shouldn't miss. Apart from the trek itself, the staff was incredible as well. Our chef Alejandro provided us with massive amounts of food every day and the porters supported us with carrying our stuff, putting up our tents and making everything a lot easier. Kudos also to our tour guide Roger who was always there for a chat and was a great support in every point of view.Show moreTrip date: April 2024
- RGRuthan· April 19th, 2024This trip is excellent. The staff are wonderful - the trip ran seamlessly and any minor problems - such as track closures were handled professionally.Trip date: April 2024
- IGIlias· November 8th, 2023Amazing, once in a lifetime trip with an incredible guide, Manolo, who had such brilliant, in depth knowledge and historical understanding and experience. We hiked and camped in style with brilliant chefs and porters, Alexandro and Irineo, who made three beautiful meals a day and made our experience a luxury. The food was unbelievably good. I truly recommend this experience with these wonderful people!Show moreTrip date: October 2023
- LELaurie· September 19th, 2023I gave an excellent rating thinking of the four TreXperience staff who were on our trek. Leo was an extremely knowledgeable guide who told us a lot about Inca history and religion and answered our many questions patiently. He helped me whenever I needed assistance and gave me confidence to reach 15000 plus feet of altitude! Our chef, Roger, was also outstanding! The meals were amazing for the conditions, and he and the assistant chef, Richard, and porter, Roger, worked long hard days to make us delicious food and keep us as comfortable as possible. As for the route we followed, I would say "good." The first day and a half were spectacular - Laguna Humantay and Salkantay mountain. But the afternoon of the second day we did 6000 feet of downhill, the last 3000 feet were pretty boring - in trees, on a rocky road with no view. And the fourth day, three hours following the train tracks from Hydroelectrica to Aquas Calientes was not very interesting. Overall, I definitely recommend TreXperience, but would also suggest finding a trek that spends more time at the higher elevations before making the descent, as the mountains are gorgeous. And once again, a big shout out to our guide, Leo, and Chef Roger!!Show moreTrip date: September 2023
