- CWColin· October 19th, 2024The local tour guides in Azerbaijan (1 out of 10) and Georgia (3-4 out of 10) were very poor and should not be used. In those countries things were poorly organised. In Azerbaijan he rambled and did not make sense. In Georgia she avoided answering questions and spoke softly to those close to her. Far better in Armenia (9 out of 10).Show moreTrip date: October 2024
- Shervin· October 19th, 2024Great countries and cultures to discover. One of the hotel Armenia was not good at all, somehow tour in total has missed 1x lunch and 1x dinner which should have been included. Georgian tour guide was sick and didn’t do her best (in my opinion), Azerbaijan tour guide could also be a bit better. But all in all amazing food, amazing landscape and lovely experience.Show moreTrip date: October 2024
- Maureen· September 16th, 2023Fascinating experience! The three local guides were great and got better from country to country. Unfortunately, I hurt my foot again prior to departure and this meant I missed seeing a number of monasteries as lots of steps and stairs were not viable. I believe we should have been told that we would walk across land borders: Azerbaijan and Georgia (absolutely horrendous) and Georgia and Armenia (better not as arduous). Some hotels were barely adequate with cold showers and not enough for breakfast. A number of hotels did not offer a restaurant for dinner and nothing was close by. After a long day motivating oneself to find something to eat at night was in the too hard basket. There was no free time to visit museums which was disappointing. However, the group members were the most well travelled people I have encountered and it was great getting to know them. This definitely contributed to the high ranking I have given. We stayed in one golf resort for one night this should be made two so you can recharge your batteries plus enjoy this hotel’s facilities.Show moreExpat Explore Travel commented on this reviewThank you so much for taking the time to leave us such a positive rating.
