Since we liked the charm of Ecuador very much and there is a huge selection of mountains for semi-experienced climbers we have decided for this tour. The 10 days of the tour will be fully utilized and the difficulty of the mountains will gradually increase. To be sufficiently acclimatized, we climbed 3 "lower" mountains before we ventured to the first big volcano, Cotopaxi at almost 6000m. The climb was not easy, but exactly the adventure we had wanted. After a day off to rest, we then went to climb Chimborazo. This mountain is a lot more technical than Cotopaxi but with the professional instruction of our guides we always felt safe and well prepared.
