It was really a 2-day overnight Halong Bay Cruise followed by a separate 1 day tour to Nin Binh, with a 1 night hotel stay before the 2-day Cruise and a 1 night hotel stay after the 1 day Nin Binh tour. The purpose of booking a 5 day tour is to travel with the same people throughout the duration of the tour. However, this was not the case. In addition, it was really a total of 3 days of tours and not 5 days - i.e. there were no representatives from the tour nor did my tour group stay at my hotel before the 2 day Cruise and after the 1 day Ninh Bin tour. The ride along the river showed us the beautiful karsts and the rowers have incredible stamina rowing for about 2 hours using arms and legs! This trip also involves cycling around the countryside for about 40 minutes and before the activities, a buffet lunch was provided. Tour highly recommended if your want to see a bit of Hanoi's countryside in a limited time to spend in Hanoi. The tour guide is good in command(David). When we was moving on the bus he let us know many things about Viet nam. I think Hanoi is better place to travel with tour operator like Vietnam Travel top, because it is quite hard to travel by myself(not that good transportation, such as metro, bus).
