Mohamed· November 15th, 2024I had a very good time on this trip. Both Tour Radar and the local tour operator "Realistic Asia" were on top of their game. Tháng (my local guide) was always available to assist whenever needed. The reason I am rating this trip 4 stars is because I fell victim to my own expectations. I have traveled thru other less developed countries and both Vietnam and Thailand were not much different. Food was good in both countries but after a while having similar food each day got a little boring for me. I also don't eat pork so I had to find alternatives as many things are made with pork. Tour guides for local tours were all friendly and helpful. Three days dedicated to Sapa was not my cup of tea as I only enjoy hiking so much. Traveling almost 6 hours each way from Hanoi to Sapa for a few hours of hiking was not worth it to me. Halong Bay overnight cruise was the highlight of my trip. Walking city food tours in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok is worth doing. All in all I recommend taking this trip. Hotels were all A+ and travel arrangements within countries all good. Aside from the beauty that Vietnam and Thailand have their own, I think the itinerary Realistic Asia designed was much better value for money than the others on offer. The hotels during the trip were convenient and well-served. The cuisines were unique and scrumptious.
