- ABruce· December 20th, 2022From booking to final flight home Globus was keeping in constant contact with me about EVERY aspect of our upcoming vacation. These notifications helped very much. George was the BEST TOUR GUIDE EVER!! He was very professional and was clear and precise in his presentations to us concerning all we could expect about the total trip, the ship (Celestyal Crystal) and ALL excursions. My wife is recovering from a stroke 2 years ago and George was very attentive to her needs throughout the tour. He even went above and beyond to secure a ride for her AND ride in the back of a delivery van with NO BACK SEAT with my wife in the front seat. I cannot praise him enough for all the kindness he showed us, and everyone on the tour. The ship was disappointing in the fact that it had NO WI-FI and the telephones in the rooms NEVER worked for room to room calling. Our daughter was in a separate cabin, so this was an extreme hardship for our communicating during the cruise. However, the staff on board were very helpful and attentive to our needs, The shore excursions were amazing! We had never been to any of the 5 locations and the local guides were professional, courteous and very knowledgeable for their specific destinations. All spoke fluent English and cracked jokes on occasions. ALL made each excursion impressive and educational. This was our first Globus tour and we will definitely book again in the future. Again, George is to be commended for his service to our group! The Zafola Hotel was NOT a good experience! It was unseasonably warm the 2 nights we were there and there was NO Air Conditioning! They refused to turn it on for the entire hotel. Rooms were very stuffy and warm. A lot of people on the tour did not sleep well either night. The hotel staff was not very kind or caring of our group. The reception area did not have enough cash to break large bills into smaller bills.
