We’d love to continue providing great service to awesome patients like you.Trip date: February 2020 - DDean· March 20th, 2019Tour was great but here are some things I wish I would have been told beforehand.....if you are traveling in early spring and going to St. Catherines to climb Mount Sinai, bring significant winter clothes since the top of Mount Sinai is sub-zero in early spring. We were not prepared for this so we cut that out of our trip and left Egypt a few days early. This was easy to arrange since we had trip insurance. Highly recommend having trip insurance. Always have small change in Egyptian pounds because you will need to constantly “tip” anyone that helps you or the shoe guards at the mosques or if you use a public restroom (you will need to tip the bathroom attendants). Be prepared for constant heckling at the Cairo Bazaar... this was expected but very overwhelming. We found a few stands that were non heckling and made shopping pleasant. You are given free time to walk through Bazaar on your own. Guides were knowledgeable and accommodating. Guides don't go with you in the tombs though. It would have been nice if guides went with you into the tombs to explain things. This would have enhanced the experience. When you arrive in Cairo on Day #1 the guide for Egypt Tours Club will be literally “outside” in front of airport to meet you. Other tour clubs will meet their clients before one goes through passport control. It was very unsettling that others were meeting their guides before passport control and we didn’t see ours. It would have been nice if that detail was explained in advance. Money Exchange is before passport control. It is fast and efficient. Drinks of any kind, at any meal are extra, and you will be expected to pay for them. One fruit drink / cola will run you about 40-45 Egyptian pounds. Ladies, make sure you bring a head scarf for your hair when you visit Mosques. Matthew· February 26th, 2019I have nothing but high praise for this tour and tour company. If you want to experience everything that is worth seeing in Egypt, then this is the tour for you. It was well planned and very well paced. I opted for the 5 Star Hotel option and was very happy with accommodation provided. The overnight sleeper train is a fun experience and the Nile Cruise a nice relaxing break in the middle of the tour. My tour guides were Youssa in Cairo and Peter for the remainder of the tour. Both guides were generous with their time, information and very thorough with the details of each sight I visited. I have come away with so much more knowledge and understanding of this country and its history and also 2 wonderful new friends. Egypt Tours Club could not have been more helpful, and this was from the time of booking right up until my departure from Egypt. Ali was always very quick to respond to any questions and offers excellent service. This tour includes most meals, all transport and optional side tours (Abu Simbel and Ballon Ride over the Valley if the Kings) which I would highly recommend. Excellent value for the money.
